I just found these on my hard-drive. Those are part of an old series I drew for fun, and that I later scanned and colored while trying to learn how to use Photoshop. As you can see, the happless heroine is a catgirl, and as such does not fit in the Shokushuverse, but at least there are tentacles involved. Thanks! To be honest, I can see several flaws with the lineart, and I'm not particulary good with Photoshop, but I kind of like them anyway. Maybe I should try to do something inspired directly by Shokushu, once I have the time.. |

Thank you! My skills have deteriorated somewhat due to lack of use. I tried making a quick drawing inspired by my first thread here. It is sort of an x-ray view. I tried making a neat and pretty version, but I ended up liking the quick and dirty version better. I mainly know him from the inside anyway |

Thanks! I'm sure you could learn to draw better than me. Everything I know about drawing comes from copying various artists I like, to be honest. This one is a scetch I did, inspired by this thread with Iseria. I think I'm going to correct a few mistakes, rescan it and make a colored version as well, but I have some procastination to do first..

The more you work at it, the more stuff you try, the more you'll find your own style. Or maybe you'll have all sorts of different styles. |

Your art has a lot of potential! Starting out as an artist, even casually, it can REALLY help just to drag around a sketchbook (or even just a blank notebook full of lined paper) and sketch ideas when they hit you, as it's convenient. Your best art comes to you suddenly on a gust of inspiration. The sooner you act on it, the more likely it is you will be satisfied with the end product, even if you take the initial sketch home and refine it (as you should with any work you see as having potential at the end of a day where you have some extra time). Keep working on this hobby, and I hope you continue to post more pieces here. Good luck, and above all, have fun! |
