A short series of Entries from an intergalactic version of wikipedia can be found at Rhyull.com in the Humour section of the art gallery.

Cowboy boots, tattoos, possibly an Old West floor? Excellent.

Surreal neon-esque with a spooky mirror? Also excellent.

Looking good, sir. ;)

Thanks! It's actually a wrecked Victorian house but wild west works too ;)

Neon scene is through the looking glass by Biscuits at Renderosity.

The "Wild West" seemed to match her whole look. And the wooden textures just reminded me of some of those Doom 2 levels, you know, the ones that take place in "villages". Also seems like a place where monsters would be running around. ;)

I'm overdue for some monster scenes though in wild west terms I seem stuck on Westworld. Yul Brynner ravaging Deborah Kerr maybe :D

A couple of pages from a series I'm working on.

Are these pre-rendered or do you make these from scratch?
Also what program do you use to make these? Contemplating 3D design but generally don't have much patience.

I make them in Poser by using figures, locations, poses, expressions, clothing, hair. They can take an hour or more each.

If you don't have patience I couldn't recommend 3D art. It took me at least a year to become reasonably competent. But if you want to dip the toe in, get Daz Studio. It's free and it's easier than Poser. (daz3d.com)

I've been using Poser 6 from the start and my favourite model would be Victory 3 but these days I haven't had much time to do any 3D art let alone buy any new models but I played with Daz Studio and didn't get much enjoyment from it, but then again I had Niceman and Stormbringer guidance to help make my art much better than when I started out with Poser.

I don't like DS either but Poser is a big investment to make on a suck it and see basis. A lot of people think 3D art is easy but we know it isn't. So getting a feel for it without paying would be a safe introduction.

I think many people would be put off by the learning curve, the patience needed and the cost of getting a good runtime.

I admit even when I do my doodles in the art thread those take about 2-4 hours to colour via Photoshop but hand-drawn and scanned in 15-30 mins), something far incomparable to the months and years of 3D artwork that your works yield. So yeah I think I'll just stick to what I do best for the time being.

I'm thinking if nude bodies were easy to draw but intricate detail must be done on a clothed character even in a hand-drawing, I'm certain you must have a ton of factors when creating 3d clothing.

I'm sure you know, the trick is to have clothes fit and drape naturally.

BTW Calidare Poser 11 is on sale for $49.99 if you're thinking of upgrading at all. See it at renderosity.

Ok thanks for the heads up, hope I can scrape up enough money to get it. How long you think it will be on sale?
