I know I've only been here a short while, but I feel that this could be a fun topic. ^_^

As for Akkiguujin, his primary influence is "TickTock" by Dean Koontz, along with a few other sources, primarily the movie "Dollman vs. the Demonic Toys".

Please post what your inspiration for your monster was, if interested.

And here I thought you were WaruMonzaemon. :P

As for me... Well, it's kinda complicated. At first, my monster was gonna try to obey several laws of physics that I've subsequently broken. But I chose to be a glass-clear shapeshifter after choosing the name "Shapeless clear" on IRC to hide from someone I didn't want to talk to any more but whose feelings I didn't want to hurt. I figured "clear blob monster" was nce and simple, plus anyone watching the scene could get a nice inside view of whatever girl he's grabbed.

This isn't m first time at Shokushu, though it's my first time on the forums, so I had a little bit of past experience to draw on.

Dendrite's hulking, looming body shape was inspired by the Xel'lotath Horror from Eternal Darkness. The arrangement of tentacles and tail was from the Alien face huggers. There's also a little Zerg Hydralisk thrown in...and a little bit of completely original weirdness. ;)

Shirrow is actually an adaptation of one of two villains that useally plauge the life of my vampire Nicholi, depending on the genre im useing. The version im currently useing is from the manga version of the story im working on, and its variouse RP spin off's.

Shirrow had to be changed in a few ways to fit what the site asked for, for exsample the origional character of shirrow, who's name is Andrey was just a plain old vampire, if a rather old one. So In order to make him more of a monster in apperance but still keep the essentials of his character I borrowed the chriopteran skin from Blood:the last vampire, and all its spinoffs.

Every so often I might hint back to his origional plot in some of my IC posts.

For me, the choice was fairly simple. While role-playing as one of my student characters, I noticed that Shokushu had a major shortage of female monsters. So, I decided to bring the number up by at least one.

The character appearance I took from a demon girl by the same name over at website called Wilde Home for Wayward Catgirls.

The character background is based on a number of old Jewish myths, with a little creative license added, of course.

Well, of course, I have to credit the massive amounts of porn floating on the internet, plus of all the fun role playing and one lady pervert who seemed to show me my inner pervert. I was a big fan of science fiction stories, and the troubled lives of the not so bad guy..like my character in some degrees. Well..not so much him, but you get my drift.

For me it was simply The Hulk from Marvel Comics. Big and strong with not much use of his brain.

Then i just added some perversions and it was done:P

Here all of you have these great backgrounds and everything...

Mine started as a name that I couldnt place with a character. The inspiration for that name? An exit sign with the 'T' missing. ^^

I like this topic and I just have to reply!

Anyway... I am like a storybook, flipping through empty pages and trying to fill myself up with new content. Each page tends to keep filling up with new ideas from time to time as I find new pictures of creatures/aliens/monsters, stories, games, cartoons, books etc and it inspires me to create. I am definitely creative in all aspects of a 'book'. And I probably won't ever stop. Sometimes I wish I could control my creative ways. It seems like I'm forever creating... and seeking the best 'idea' that suits me.

And that goes for my monsters, too. I get weirdly influenced by almost anything. Animes, especially hentai animes, tend to be good forms of inspiration for me. I have so many sources I can take from and create something. Hehehehe!

Sometimes I have an idea just pop out of the blue from my skull. And I just have to instantly put it in action. I am like that where I'd get fresh ideas and need to put them into action. I am constantly thinking of new monsters... and most importantly... roleplaying ideas.

You are looking at... possibly... one of the most creative individuals on this place. I sometimes leave people feeling kinda surprised as to how many identities and personalities I tend to adopt. It's rather crazy. But... hey... I can't seem to control it.

And I'm a major roleplaying addict. So creation of new monsters or fun ideas is always happening with me.

Not at all surprising, Firefly was created for the same reason Sondra made Jezzy, and Firefly is a wonderful creation of my warped mind. Though, her name and the name of her student form are references to the television and movie of the same names (Firefly and Serenity) and her monster form is reminiscent of a Legend of Dragoon dragoon.

Altima was a strange concept character for me. Demons seem to rule at SHS, but what about Angels? I think we might have one of the Fallen here, but as for a true white-winged Archangel? None. Altima (reference to Ultima, the High Seraph of Ivilace from the Final Fantasy series) also reminds me of a Prior of the Ori from Stargate SG-1 with her attitude of liberating people from their false God to raise them to something greater - in her case, by raping them. Her background is a little Final Fantasy, a little Jewish myth, and a ton of my own creativity.

It took me a while to think of where Ico had come from, but I think his origins started with his personality, which I think sparked from a character from an anime. It sometimes saddens me to realize how many characters of mine started out 'based' on some character or another... but at least they get developed in their own direction from there.

In his case, I think Ico's weirdly playful and sometimes cruel personality came from Nagi from the Mai otome and hime series. Remembering his evil little glee and the occasional incidents of falling off a building or cackling makes me think of this guy. ...It's kind of funny that I'm playing him at a all-girls' school now, come to think of it. Maybe I can make a homage or play up that angle for some interesting roleplaying somehow.

XD ADD Linnis will resemble Natsuki in appearance, so awesome.

LOL! That IS awesome. I'm amused.
So is it common to make a character and having some idea for what you want them to be like as an ADD agent? That's rather interesting.

I've been looking at a couple students that I wouldn't mind trying... though I'm not sure how 'unusual' they are supposed to be with their skills. Lot of the characters seem fairly normal, so a wannabe martial artist or ninja might or might not work... (the ideas are a bit close together in concept (if not personality) to use both, so I'll have to decide between one)
