This thread could be considered an offshoot of Spectre's Monster Menagerie but for monsters meant to be used specifically in space. As in the previously mentioned thread, these will be creatures Spectre has transplanted from distant galaxies or even other planes of existence just because it can. Unless otherwise noted, the creatures are not willing participants in Spectre's plans. Anyone inerested any of the creatures I post here can feel free to PM me

First up is an insectoid menace. Hopefully her details and space focus make her different enough from the cockwasps to be a valid addition to the board.



ALPHA BLUE


ADD Special Dispatch: Emerging threat.

Designation: Alpha Blue:
A new creature has been detected prowling the space lanes. It is extremely hostile. Since the creature is a previously unencountered species and refuses to communicate, it has been code-named Alpha Blue. Despite Alpha Blue's method and focus of attack (see below), it is believed to be female. Alpha Blue invariably kills all males she encounters, but the focus of her attacks seems to be the brutal rape of any female sentient she can catch.

Description:
Alpha Blue vaguely resembles a giant winged ant or termite, being an insectiod approx. 2.7m (9ft) in length with estimated mass of approx. 450kg (990lbs). She has six long, chitinous legs supporting a triple-segmented body mass. The fore-most pair of legs end in sharp, sickle-like claws. She stands appox 1.2m (4ft) tall. Two pairs of crystal-like wings sprout from the upper side of the forward segment.

'Head' is a strangely shaped lumpy protrusion found on the front part of her forward segment and is covered in short, fibrous hair. Six antennae are arranged around its circumference; they are appox 0.5m (1ft 8in) in length. A small circular orifice opens in the center of the forward surface of the 'head' No eyes, ears, or mouth have been observed.

Middle segment is relatively short and thin. Legs are attached here. Rear segment is oversized and bulbous. It contains six tentacle-like appendages that can extend to at least 3m (10ft) in length. Each is tipped with a tube-like chitinous organ approx. 0.3m (1ft) in length with which Alpha Blue violates her victims.

Capabilities:
Alpha Blue is apparently capable of surviving in vaccuum and of unassisted space travel. She is reportedly immune to directed energy weapons, appearing to absorb the energy into her wings. Experts speculate this immunity/absorbtion may extend to other forms of radiation as well and could be the source of power for her space-flight abilities. Alpha Blue is strong enough and her claws sharp enough that she can rip holes in starship hulls. She can project a sticky fluid from the orifice in her 'head.' This fluid hardens quickly into a strong type of resin. She uses this fluid to subdue and bind her victims.

Behavior:
Alpha Blue is very hostile and aggressive. She demonstrates knowledge of advanced tactics (particularly guerilla style diversionary and hit and run tactics) and is capable of tool use, problem solving and planning.

Attacks have been reported both in isolated planetary locations and in deep space. Alpha Blue tends to avoid large groups, using stealth to remain undetected until she finds an isolated individual or small band of two or three victims. She quickly overwhelms defenders with fast, relentless attacks, killing males but disarming females. Once she subdues her victims, she immediately seeks to violate them, ripping open any armor or clothing with precise slashes of her claws before immediately attempting penetration. She spares no time, raping the victim(s) brutally until she 'ejaculates' at least once with each tentacle-mounted organ. Afterword, she simply leaves, disappearing back into space.

Notes:
Alpha Blue's ejaculate is not semen, but is actually a fluid containing millions of microscopic ova. Experts speculate that Alpha Blue is one of the 'queen' caste of some unknown hive-like species that use humanoid victims for breeding. Theoretically, queens lay their eggs in their victims' bodies and leave them to be fertilized by males. So far no males have been reported in known space.

Alpha Blue shows a preference for vaginal penetration, but will use every orifice large enough to accept her egg tubes, especially when attacking a single victim.

Alpha Blue may be injured by conventional weaponry, but her chitinous armor tends to deflect small arms fire; armor piercing rounds are recommended.

Experts theorize that Alpha Blue's senses are all concentrated in her antennae. She appears unaffected by lack of light, showing no loss of awareness or combat ability. Some evidence suggests she can sense through solid matter up to and including the thickness of average starship bulkheads.

History:
The first reported encounter with Alpha blue involved a small freighter. About six weeks before the issue of this dispatch, she attacked the freighter, slaughtering most of the crew. The only female crewmember was also the only survivor. She has recovered physically from the attack with no lingering effects from the large amounts of egg fluid pumped into her body.

Each additional attack has come within two weeks of the previous, leading experts to theorize she must lay her eggs within a similar time frame.

Alpha Blue shows no favoritism to other predatory species; at least one reported attack included a slave transport of a prominent cartel. At least one female guard was violated along with the cargo.

Directive:
If you encounter Alpha Blue, observe and report only: DO NOT ENGAGE without substantial back-up.
