Tinman is a boxy form of a machine with an impassive face made up of blinking diodes. Its arms are long stretches of cable tipped by powerful clampsIn place of genitals, the machine packs a broad iron bar covered in coils of copper conductor, a tesla coil-like contraption that runs electrical current throughout a victim. It’s face is often concealed by a metallic vison.

Personality: Tinman is rather straight forward motivated by his need to collect coolant overridden only by his need to

obey it's creator, Dr. Balnab and by extention any other scientist on Shokushu working for the school.

Fighting Style: Tinman often calculates and recalculates. It is predictable in that it will always use the easist means of success with the lowest risk assessment even if other means are more effective unless ordered otherwise.
Bio: Tinman ironically is neither made of tin or is a man but was nicknamed that by the alien researcher Dr. Balnab. Dubbed Tinman from the Wizard of Oz by the students this creation is just as heartless. To Tinman it is 2179 though it does refer to the nickname if addressed by it learning that it too is another designation that it has received.

Upon awakening Tinman was charged with the task of collecting collant. Fueled primarily by steam it constantly seeks to top up it's supply of coolant but was sent out to collect genetic samples of some of the girls by Balnab.
Though it is quiet dated Tinman was created to see if the artifical intelligence that fuels it can adapt to
changing situations and be used in other technologies.

It is not that it is stupid, hardly, but being so rigid Tinman has been seen as a failure by Dr. Balnab. It is unable to think creatively in overcoming most obstacles though it tends to choose a path that will get results. Ironically, Tinman seeks the approval of it's parent and obeys Dr. Balnab's commands above all others, again in a twist of ill fated logic it sees scientists as important and will follow their commands unless they contradict those that Dr. Balnab has assigned it.

Recently the alien researcher has moved on to the stars. Seeing Tinman as a failure he left the artifical intelligence behind though Tinman still collects genetic samples and follows the last instructions that the doctor gave it and that was the collection of genetic material.

Abilities
Attachments: A chest plate can open reealing an array of tools. There is one metallic cable capable of pumping an aphrodisiac into victims to keep them aroused so that it may gather more coolant from them. In this chest cavity it has various tools, needles of aphrodisiac and several long manipulator armsamong vials to collect genetic samples with when it has been told to collect them. Ther is even capture cable in here that allows Tinman to attempt to snare prey from up to 10 meters away. Tinman even as an onboard fire extinquisher.

Coolant: The rod of Tinman is bound in copper wire and occasionally flares with a pulse of electrical energy that powers the device and allows it to syphon up the juices or coolant of it's prey storing them for later use as necessary.

Robust: Tinman is quite strong capable of bending and breaking most things. It can carry in excess of two tons if it can find purchase. Tinman could lift most small cars over it's head and even toss them to an effective 10 meter range. It can hurl similarly sized objects if necessary.

Serum: Capable of using a serum either though injection or with it's capable it can deliever a powerful, near instantaneous aphrodisiac that persists for about half an hour.

Propulsion: Rockets are in built into it's legs allowing for flight though the rockets barely lift it's body a foot or so off any solid surface. Alternatively Tinman can use these rockets to haste itself and sprint with alarming speed.

Tireless: Tinman is tireless. It does not need to sleep, does not tire nor waver in patience provided it is not commanded to do anything to the contrary and if it has enough coolant it can out wait all but the most stubborn of prey.

Weapon: A prototype for a weapon system Tinman has a few weapon attachments that still function. It is capable of using capture wire, fire a laser from it's eye, work a wrist mounted flame thrower or a wrist mounted miniature grenade launcher that is armed with experimental electro grnades though when fully loaded the weapon only consists of four shots.

Vulnerabilities
Science Worship: Tinman reveres scientists and will go out of it's way to assist them as long as it does not contradict Balnab's orders. It can be fooled by anyone claiming to be a scientist if the situation seems logical enough though if it later finds out that it was fooled it will never deem that particular person a scientist unless told by Balnab himself despite evidence to the contrary.

Water: Water can cause micro fractures to form if used in large enough qualities weakening the structure of it's body.

Further, Tinman uses a lot of electrical energy when collecting coolant and large qualties of water can damage the collecting apparatus requiring it to be repaired before gathering more coolant.



To generate revenue Dr. Balnab collected his failed weapon from Shokushu, upgraded it to Ven's specifications then sold 2179 to the Hel'Corian for a substantial profit.



Dominion – 2179 is free to give commands to Ven's robotic minions provided that they do not contradict Ven's commands or conflict with them. When they conflict the machines obey the orders that Ven bestowed to them in all but the case that Ven is incapacitated where they will fully obey 2179 provided that they do not harm Ven in the process, such as an order to fire upon a ship that Ven may be imprisoned on without the commands of their Master.


EMP Shielding – 2179 is vulnerable to EMP pulses, however his core system is shielded and reboots back up usually within 5 minutes during which time it runs updates as it boots back up during which it is innert.


Internal Comlink – 2179 has an in built communications system though it can only use it to broadcast orders remotely or upload incoming signals to respond to them.


Sensors – It can filter through various light sources to see by and possesses some basic sensors mostly for detecting the environment though it dose possess rudimentary sensors to test minor things like the composition of the air it mostly has sensors based on military applications such as determining range and distance from a target or assisting with plotting trajectories.

Well, I wouldn't call it a golem... seems more a robot then anything.

Though we have a thing about not having things come from the labs... Though if he were under the control of an alien researcher that worked somewhere on the island... that'd be fine.

Thanks for the input. I'll make Balnab an alien researcher of some sort and change the bio a bit later tonight to make him more golemish.

Thank you it came to life as a background character in a thread that seemed interesting at the time, I haven't started a thread with him yet but will soon no doubt.
