hey everyone! I haven't been around much lately, you might've noticed. I've been thinking about it, and part of the problem is that I'm a little bored with Steel. he's fun and all, but I want to get a bit more variety into the situations I put the students in. So I thought up this new monster here! I'll still catch up to all my Steel and RLS threads tonight when I get off work, but if I start any new threads for a while, they'll be with this guy. hope you like him!

History:

Quen is a member of the Lacertilian race. It's a species of little creatures that look like geckos, but with eight long spiderish legs. They would have been extinct long ago though, if not for their extremely high intelligence and their extremely strong mental powers. The race has subdued all would-be predators through mind control and now rule the entire planet.

Lacertilians feed off of strong emotions including fear, pain and pleasure. On their home planet they feed from the lesser evolved creatures they've enslaved. But Quen was bored with this life of luxury. He wanted his feeding to be interesting again. So when he heard about Shokushu from a passing Alliance vessel, he knew that was the place for him. He hitched a ride and just arrived recently...

Personality:

He puts on hundreds of different personas for the girls he captures, but in reality Quen is a quiet and calm little lizard. He's patient enough to hide and wait for a particularly tasty meal to fall into his clutches. Quen tends to think of the students as beneath him, just his toys to play with as he likes. But that doesn't mean he's cruel to them. He never leaves any permanent damage to the girls after he's finished feeding off them.

Quen isn't as tough as he'd like people to think though. He can sometimes be pretty nervous, even cowardly. but wouldn't you be if you were a tiny lizard surrounded by giant humans and even scarier monsters? If anyone monster or student discovers his real body, he'll be gone as quick as he can.

Capabilities:

- Mind control. Quen's psychic powers are strong even in comparison to his brothers. His specialty is to create images, sounds and other sensations in someone's head that are as good as real. (For example, he can make a student think there are half a dozen men holding her down and gang-raping her when she's really alone in her room.) He can also make a person's body act against their will or even temporarily control the person's will completely, making her willing for a short time. It takes considerable power to shake off his control, usually more than the school's dampeners allow the students to have.
- Illusions. These are separate from the mind control when he chooses to create them in reality. He can make material illusions to hide himself or create a false human body among other things, but those illusions are only slightly stronger than glass. A strong enough student could shatter them with a blow, and any monster could easily destroy them.

Weaknesses:

- Anything physical. His real body is weak and frail and easily injured. If he's in danger of being hurt, he'll usually either flee immediately or throw all his psychic power at whoever threatens him.

Likes:

- Just about all shapes and sizes of girls
- All sorts of forced emotions, but pleasure most of all

Dislikes:

- Getting hurt himself
- Interruptions when he's feeding
- Having his true form discovered
- Being scared off by other monsters

welcome back steel... how interesting never seen such a tiny monster but, sounds interesting enough; will have to get around to having him meet raven & darwin when I'm less swamped

oh thank god i thought darwin had made another one =.= well nice to see other people thinking of new ways to be unique =3 though wonder how mind control would work against a mind that's split into a dozen or so entities
