Name: Plague Race: ½ Star Spawn, ½ Incubus Age: 1,752 years Age (Appearance): Late 40s – Early 50s Height: 6'3" Weight: 190lbs Eyes: Pale Yellow, though he only has his right Mouths: One beaked maw beneath eight facial tentacles Hair: None Skin Color: Sulfuric Yellow Skin Texture: Rough, dry, and scaled Tentacles: Not counting the shorter facial tentacles, 40. -Arranged in groups of 10 in the upper right, left and lower right, left of his back. -Each group of 10 is composed of eight smooth, unadorned tendrils and two bearing beak-like pincers of obsidian on the ends of them. Powers: -Regeneration: Plague's biological restoration abilities work very similar to mollusks, echinoderms, and to a lesser extent, reptiles in the real world, albeit at a rapidly enhanced rate. Flesh, muscle, bone, blood vessel, nerve, organ tissue, all these are very simple to replace on their own now that Plague's had a good deal of practice with the inherent ability to regenerate destroyed tissue at an enhanced rate, avoiding scarring save for the single instance with the sulfur geyser when he was very young that severely damaged the left side of his face. Unfortunately, as is the case in many higher organisms, while an appendage such as a tentacle, simply a tube of blood vessels, nerves, and muscle, is easy to replace, a limb such as an arm or a leg, with complicated joint structure and bone configuration, is irreplaceable. Thus, while Plague can nullify damage to his torso, limbs, or internal structure that would cripple or kill a mortal, if a limb is hacked off or an organ removed completely, he's unable to regenerate it. -Magic: The magic Plague uses works through the connection to his home plane, something irremovable from both his subconscious and his psyche. By spilling his own blood, he is able to tap into that primal connection and transmute it into the two materials most commonly associated with the volcanically active region of his home: The sulfur-gas that erupts from the geothermic vents spotting the area and hellsteel, the white-hot metal that falls in shards from the skies. He can meld the steel into any shape he wishes, since it manifests in this world at the same liquid temperature it leaves the other. The gas is a little more difficult to control, though he his able to direct it in corrosive, condensed balls of misty acid. Appearance: -Body Build: Lanky but broad-shouldered. -Clothing: Beaten brown overcoat, tan fedora, torn jeans, cowboy boots, and bloodstained bandages covering his face and arms sometimes accompanied by an ivory theater mask. -Physical Structure: Plague's brain is massive; his cerebral-matter-to-body ratio is far greater than that of humans. Though a demon, Plague's basic anatomy is a blend cephalopod and reptile, which means that, like most octopi, he exerts no conscious control over his tentacles. A large portion of his subconscious is segmented into four areas that control his tentacles’ actions. Consciously, his higher brain gives out the task that he requires his tentacles to complete, and the lower sectioned brain sees to it that said objective is accomplished. The composition of Plague's organs comes from the mixed demon ancestry he has inherited. His stomach functions, but it absorbs almost all nutrients, leaving very little to waste. He needs no nutrients to actually function, instead absorbing energy directly from his victims with a porous tongue-like-organ inserted into a meal's mouth that saps the emotional energy and stores it in a sac-like organ located in the base of his spine, cradled by the coccyx and hip bones. The energy not only replicates the tissues needed for his body to grow and heal, but also causes his blood to be well above the temperature acceptable for a human's. Furthermore, as is common with reptiles, his reproductive organs are encased inside his torso until they are required for use, protected by a bony sheath. Thus, trying to fight dirty and knee him in the crotch will likely not work out very well Psychological Profile: Abandonment issues, slight xenophobia, a flair for the dramatic, Plague lives day in and day out with resentment gnawing at the back of his mind thanks to a freak accident when he was a child rendering him hideous even by Demonic standards. He employs a chessmaster attitude during his hunts and needless to say has a number of "control" issues. Weaknesses: -He loves to gamble. If a girl can get him to bet, or play a game, she’s got a sliver of a chance at getting away scot free. -Using his own blood for magical purposes tires him out rather quickly. Likes: -Classical Music -Poetry, especially from the Romantic period in England, oddly enough -Fencing -Gambling -Drinking, though generally only wine and scotch -Peaceful strolls through the forest, cigarette in hand that end in not-so-peaceful manners Dislikes: -Most other genres of music -Reality television -People when they’re not being used as food |

Plague's Lair Plague originally made his home in a nondescript cavern in the side of the infamous mountain facing the school. However, after years of excavation and redecoration, he has managed to fashion it into quite the humble abode with a number of surprises: Entrance/Main Hall: The entrance to the cavern is situated at the foot of the mountain, the mouth opening into a wide field of wildflowers that breaks the canopy of the forest. The opening yawns wide, but really isn't much to speak of, angling directly down into the earth. The main hall levels out after a few dozen feet, twisting like the intestines of some great beast back into the living quarters of his lair, a torch burning in a rough-hewn scone lighting the path every few meters. Lounge: The first door leads into an area dominated by rotting, moth-eaten chairs and furniture situated around a fireplace. The walls are decorated rather richly with a wealth of fine art and oil paintings. An antique suit of armor even stands in the corner, brandishing a halberd. Bath: A small spring, the bath is more of a natural bubbling pool that lies behind another door, sinking down about four feet deep. A small oak cabinet off to the side holds all manner of soaps, oils, and rough steel brushes for flaking off dead scales. Bedroom: Plague's bed is a massive king-sized monster with bright crimson silken sheets. Iron cages line one wall, this room also dominated by art and various flags that hang from the walls and ceiling. Library: The largest room in the complex by a long shot, it dwarfs the other rooms in comparison and actually could give the school's excellent library a run for its money in terms of rare volumes and obscure works. This is Plague's pride and joy and it certainly shows. Research stations dot the area and a wide balcony overlooks a sheer drop off into a subterranean river far below. Plague's Minions: Name: Kohryu Race: Homunculus Age: 80 years Age (Appearance): Late 20s Height: 6'5” Weight: 240lbs Eyes: Glowing Green Hair: Black, covered by helmet Skin Color: Dead, pale gray Skin Texture: Smooth, cold Powers: -Possession: Kohryu is a breed of homunculus. Essentially, they are the corpse of a long-dead warrior revived with a legion of moaning, tortured, fragmented souls. As such, this allows them a certain degree of flexibility with the shape they take. Though they are mostly unable to possess a human body (it takes a great degree of concentration and force to overcome sentience), the horde of souls takes great pleasure in leaving their home corpse to possess flocks of birds or schools of insects, most often crows, ravens, or locusts. They then use these forms to corral Plague’s intended victims back towards their master. -Magic: Kohryu can use their souls for a number of purposes, both offensive and defensive. They might unleash a torrent of the wispy green forms as a makeshift projectile attack or use them to levitate their corpse-body. Appearance: -Body Build: Tall and muscular. -Clothing: Usually a pair of baggy maroon pants, armored boots, a pauldron and arm’s worth of armor on their left side, and a steel helm that masks the lower half of their face. -Physical Structure: Aside from the possession of the thousands of tortured souls, Kohryu’s body is not that much different than your usual, garden variety corpse. In addition to this, they feel no physical pain and can only be really harmed by mystic or psychic means. Their body is streaked with bluish-purple wounds, the gray flesh sewn back together with thick black cable. Psychological Profile: A deeply logical and unflappable collection of beings, Kohryu was willed to Plague along with the many artifacts he fills his home with. As such, they are unquestioningly loyal to their master and have very few interests outside of the always-entertaining task of serving him. Weaknesses: -Mostly a robot. It’s rather easy to out-think them… at first. They adapt to various ruses and tricks rather quickly. Likes: -Reading, especially philosophy -Meditation -Practicing martial arts Dislikes: -Loud distractions -Tasks that take little or no effort (Note: To be updated as situations allow) |
