is there a rule against monsters getting into scuffles with other monsters? if not, I think it probably will get interesting...

Technically speaking, yes...

There's no 'system' behind the game, and a lot of times in roleplaying that leads to everyone trying to one-up the other...

Since there's no real restrictions on the power of the monsters, it can get very silly.

That being said, sometimes people play with the female monsters getting jumped by the male, or somesuch... but usually because people know the way the scene should play towards.

Come to think of it...I've never played with a female monster before.

Right... and to keep things from being a 'fight club' that end up with the above scenario, fighting generally is minimalistic (and pretty scripted).

That being said, some encounters certainly would begin with a good warm up, as it were...
