N.I.C.E and A.D.D Records for Codenamed Shadow Name: Has referred to itself by many aliases though Malise seems it's most common. (Pronounced like the word Malice, but the i is pronounced like the e in lease) Race: Unknown. Currently only known member of it's species. Type: Sub-Solid Shapeshifter Place of Birth: Unknown Gender: Subject can most likely be categorized as an hermaphrodite, as masculine and feminine characteristics and appearances have been documented, though without more data on the subject it is nigh impossible to say with any degree of certainty. Age: Impossible to say Height: It generally maintains a form of roughly 6-7 feet in height Weight: The only aspect of this creature which is relatively constant. Roughly 200 pounds. Eye Color: Normally ranges from pitch black to a deep glowing crimson. Lack additional data to confirm or deny alternate possible colors. Skin Color: Most commonly dark blacks to dark grays. But the facial region has been noted as at times 'masked' in white. Skin Texture: *A excerpt from operative 983* Silky... *Subject was then treated for acute exhaustion and over stimulation* Hair: Often the subject has been seen displaying what looks to be hair, though it is merely an extension of the main body. Hair Color: Much like the skin it usually ranged from dark blacks to dark grays. Tentacles: The subject has repeatedly been noted to extend portions of its main body in what could be considered a tentacle to capture unwitting prey. *Usually our agents or students of the school where it seems to currently view as its main hunting ground* Number of Tentacles: Both due to the lack of need, and to maintain a certain level of mass in its main body to support itself, it has never been noted to produce more than 7 tentacles, though it has on occasion produced several smaller tendrils. Cock Size: Sadly it seems this is what we have the most data on. According to conflicting reports we have determined it can make it however big it wants it to be. *Excerpt from Agent 215* It can lube itself if it wants to. # of Cocks: It has been reported as having from 0 to 2. Fighting Style: Subject prefers to ambush subjects which are alone or in very small groups. It seems to be nocturnal and have no trouble at all seeing in the dark *see attached thermal vision hypothesis* Once a victim is captured though, it generally releases them or toys with them before physically assaulting them. Motivation: It seems to draw distinct pleasure causing great fear and loss of hope in its victims. It is hard to tell if the act of sex itself is used to reinforce the dread in its victims or if it derives any physical pleasure from the act. Agents that have experience dealing with the creature are divided in their beliefs, but all agree that its species most certainly reproduce as human's do (via sexual intercourse and exchange of fluids) as evidenced by the mess it has left several in afterward. Psychological Profile: As best as we can determine; the subject is a hunter. It enjoys stalking down a selected 'prey' and attacks it. Physical harm is generally limited to mild bruises, if that, though female subjects are more often than not sexually assaulted if captured by the subject. It likely views humans as little more than a source of entertainment, having never truly attempted to communicate with an ADD operative past playing mind games with them. Human Disguise Form: While the creature can take on the rough appearance of a human it cannot change the color of its skin to match one. But in very dark rooms it can be mistaken for one. Human Disguise Appearance: It can shift into pretty much any silhouette, but it excels at copying the ones of humans it has seen recently. Also recently was reported by Agent 651 that it is similarly good at copying voices. Special Attributes/Abilities: Shape Shifting: The subject's form is only semisolid. As such it can easily slide under and through small gaps and shift its form at will. Its total mass does not change, which appears to be its sole limitation in that regard. In addition the texture of its 'skin' has been reported to shift at will as well. Shadow Surfing: The subject has been noted to slide into a shadow, rendering itself all but invisible. No Life Signs: Subject Shadow gives no thermal indication of life, nor does it seem to breathe nor eat. Obviously it must have some method of sustaining itself, but it is currently unknown. WARNING! Subject has recently been reported to have the ability to phase through shadows to other local shadows. Likely by magical means. If captured PUT INTO A ROOM WITH AN ALL AROUND LIGHT SOURCE. Weaknesses: Besides the above warning the subject appears to be physically unimposing, having just above human strength. Light appears not to harm it, but it tends to avoid bright areas as well. History: The first encounter with Subject Shadow happened upon a derelict merchant vessel. It must have been stowing away somewhere. When the rescue vessel docked it managed to slip aboard and then managed to slip into Shokushu when the ships docked as one of its crew members (Shadow's first known victim) was assaulted. Since then all attempts to capture the fiend have failed and it has several times stolen away on another ship to travel around before returning. Efforts have been put into place to restrict its movements, but due to the lack of any great harm or lethal actions from the creature it is of low priority at this point in time. Danger assessment will be reevaluated upon Shadow causing grievous injury to ADD or NICE personnel.
