Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Clarice snapped her finger to silence the woman’s sobbing frenzy. It was troublesome to have bellowing loud cries of explanations and excuses, but something seemed all too familiar about this setting. Though it may not have been about drugs, the Prefect had been in this position before. She only waited a few short minutes after getting the woman’s attention by her fingers before she began bluntly and cold.
“Even now you try and defend what you did after that part of your punishment should be done, Diana. It’s funny how you honestly think I WANT to punish you in such manners, but this is my job and I have to correct mistakes that are made and ensure you’ll never do them again. I don’t think you truly realize how severe your curiosity affected your body. These drugs have the same properties as what you’ve taken and they would’ve only affected you if you had the same properties still circulating in your bloodstream.
I can’t even fathom how much you put into your system, but judging by the pouch that seemed to have at full capacity, you took in more then half of it. I don’t think you understand you nearly put yourself in a drug induced coma. Do you comprehend what that means? Such high quantities of illegal drugs would’ve killed you if Shokushu staff hadn’t of flushed your system of such toxic substances. That simple mistake you made nearly cost you your life… how do you think I would feel knowing that? That one of my apprentices and friend who has such potential died because of ‘curiosity’.”
She shakes her head and returns to the table, placing a hand on it and looking at the woman with a face that seemed to honestly care for her, but was just thoroughly disappointed. She was just unhappy with the fact that Diana was trying to explain away what she did. Instead making a heart felt apology to her teacher about how utterly stupid she was, she wants to go and defend it like Clarice should be the one punished for being ruthless.
“We can be down here all night if we have to, Diana. Your teachers know of your misdemeanor and have excused you for the rest of the day. There’s still plenty of time to give you reprimand, but quite honestly I want to shorten your sentence if only you just accept the fact that what you did was wrong. No amount of excuses or explanations will change that. The sooner you accept the fact that your inquisitiveness should be second guessed next time you are given the opportunity I need to be 100% sure you will do the right think,” she spoke more softly before narrowing her eyes and become much more brash in her talking, “You think this is trivial, but my God woman, you were so stupid to take even so much of an illegal drug! Get it through your head that your friends and including myself don’t want to visit you at the morgue!”

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Diana winced as the words struck her ears, as if she were struck. She watched Clarice's features as they went through anger and sadness, through disappointment and outrage. "You said your job was to correct mistakes and ensure they never happen again. I think you've succeeded very well in that. I told you that I have no intention of ever touching anything narcotic to my lips or inhaling it ever again." A soft sigh passes through her lips and she leans forwards, reaching out to put her hand over Clarice's on the table. "I never intended to hurt anyone, Clarice, least of all myself. I know, it's a lack of foresight, I understand that much. But what will you have me do to prove I won't repeat what's been done?" Diana's fingers tightened around Clarice's hand before releasing it. "What oath will you have me swear, what act would you have me seal it with?" Desperation softened Diana's voice. She didn't care about having her name cleared or being "purified." She wanted her teacher's approval again.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
She regarded the woman, watching her with a narrow mind of what she was doing. She doesn’t even look to see where Diana’s hands were going; she was not that stupid too try and pull anything or at least that was Claire’s belief. She doesn’t move at all as the woman tries to regain her favor once more, though it did little to actually show any physical results such as an emotional breakthrough that the woman could at least find some relief in.
As she pulled her hand away and began to ask about swearing upon anything to let her know she wouldn’t do it again, it was Clarice’s turn to touch the woman. Quick she was to put a finger over the woman’s lips, silencing her from talking for a moment before cupping her chin in her hand.
“My dear girl, I have no need for any verbal oath because frankly, actions speak much louder. I could have you swear up and down you will never do something like this again, but that gives me nothing to yank you with if by some chance you’re here again. Even you can see from my point that’s little to go on here. I do not need to act out on anything either, because that is the same by me telling you to do something. The only thing I want from you is to do nothing… do nothing like this again. I don’t need you to swear, I don’t need an example of your resolve; I just don’t want to have you down here for something so stupid as narcotics.
And realize that you have lost my trust to function on your own without someone to hold your hand.”
She puts more force into holding the woman’s chin and pulls her close so that mere inches parted their faces. She didn’t want Diana to have any room to avoid eye contact with her.
“However, my trust can be earned back. If you want some form of action to take, then just… don’t act like a foolish, naïve little girl, Diana. Surely you have more sense then this, especially being one in the arcane magic. Such a cheap human fling… you have more then enough talents to occupy your time then become curious of what it’s like to be a zombie in society.”
Her features softened as she closed the gap between them, delicately licking at the woman’s lips to be allowed entrance then played with the woman’s tongue for a moment. Pressing her endowed breasts into the other blonde, she quickly makes work of getting heat to the woman’s hand by pushing her chest even further into her. A hand quickly slips down to the woman’s skirt and feels up on the exhausted blonde’s covered slit. But being such a tease, she almost immediately pulled away before crossing her arms and sighing with a slight smile.
“Ever after your panic, pain, and worry, you still managed to get so wet I could feel it without even having to press on, Diana. Don’t tell me you were turned on by being so helpless in a situation were you?”

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Diana goes almost cross eyed as her focus is suddenly brought on the finger pressing to her lips. She blinks a few times and then looks back up at Clarice's features. Diana doesn't dare to resist as her chin is grasped and her head tilted upwards. She struggles to nod in compliance with Clarice's words, but then realizes her predicament and thinks better of it. "Yes, Clarice. I won't forget." A pang of hope starts to grow in Diana's chest as Clarice speaks of re-earning that precious trust. Then she begins to speak of magic and Diana lowers her eyes. It was true, she'd been neglecting her 'gift.' Suddenly Diana's eyes are brought to level with Clarice's and she finds herself almost uncomfortable in the closeness. The context was all wrong for such an intimate proximity. Diana's parched lips show no resistance to Clarice's advance, shock softening her defenses completely. All of a sudden warmth is pressed against her as Clarice's breasts are pushed against Diana, their soft, perfection merely a thin piece of cloth away from Diana's own skin. A powerful blush overtakes the girl's cheeks.
A quiet whimper parts with Diana's lips as Clarice's mouth lifts away and a finger brushes against her still tingling nether region. She can feel the cold dampness of the cloth as it presses against her skin again. Diana bites her lower lip and lowers her eyes bashfully. She hadn't even realized she'd been getting aroused at all, but suddenly it seems like it had been there all along. It was far too late to close her eyes or try to hide the fact. "I-it wasn't the situation." She manages to mumble softly, her eyes moving up to meet with Clarice's.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
“I don’t recall saying it was this particular situation. I said ‘a’. It sounds to me like someone is a little too defensive for their own good.”
She could only watch in amusement as the woman seemed to fully realize that she was slightly turned on, but adrenaline and fear possibly covered any traces of such feelings until it was brought to her attention. Claire had no room to talk and she merely over the issue any ways. A select few knew how she was a masochist and adrenaline junky. Being put in her place by Kanoe was always stimulating though she would never admit that verbally to anyone, even her lover. Though things had gotten a little out of her want for comfort, the stimulation and arousal would never change, even in her unique situation.
“There’s still the matter of your next punishment for giving into peer pressure… but perhaps I can leave that for someone else to decide. You seemed to have learned your lesson enough, but I think it would be wise to ask for second opinion.”
She doubt Diana has ever met Vera before, but if the woman hasn’t she probably has heard of the woman. Such a cold, icy demeanor that sent a shiver down her spine, cupped with a striking tone and merciless habit made the Head Girl intimidating. Clarice wasn’t particularly fond of her to a degree, but she had grown to respect her… she had to in order to work diligently for her.
“I’m sure you’re familiar with Head Girls. Being a Prefect, I work for one in particular and I think the just right amount of punishment is to have you accompany me in my report, to possibly apologize for having given her the rigorous issue of filling paperwork out. I think that will suffice unless you give her reason for having me bring you down here again.”
She goes to a box and comes back to give the woman her shoes. Straightening up Diana’s jacket and uniform after their little time together, she gently pats the woman on the head before turning to the table. With so many different medicines, it was hard to believe a single person could remember them all. But Clarice knew before they could do anything, she would have to suppress the first poison she had injected into the woman.
“Your adrenaline will no doubt be going and I can’t have you on the floor, writhing in pain so I will give medicine to counter-act the drug for a short time. You will do well to show some respect to Miss Matsumoto or I will get in trouble, which means you will be in even bigger trouble. Do you understand?” she says very sternly before offering the exhausted woman a pill. At least what she was doing was for medicinal purposes now.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
As the endorphins wear off, the burning pain in her chest returns. Diana blinks tears out of her eyes as it spreads through her veins, her teeth digging into her lower lip. She hadn't realized just how excited Clarice had made her. "No more peer pressure, I promise." She presses her thighs together, crossing her legs and rubbing the back of her leg with the socked foot. Diana had been previously immune to such things, had almost prided herself for not going with the mainstream of things. She'd done what had pleased her and what she knew the consequences of. During her teen-hood, drugs, alcohol, sex, it had all been dutifully avoided. Now, however... It seems that in this infernal place her will had been worn down and her once strong resolve has been weakened. Comfort was a byword for risk in this place as well, for it is only found in the arms of another. That other can inexplicably disappear in a moment's notice. Diana's attention perked at the mention of a second person.
Diana nodded her head dumbly at the mention of the most upper caste of the student body. The Head Girls had advantages that no other girl did, they had powers others could only dream of. They had influence. They had control, something that was completely beyond Diana. Paper work? That was what Diana had to apologize for doing? Paper work? She'd been poisoned, forced to sleep in a cell, and she nonetheless had to apologize for paper work? Blegh... Communist pigs. She made no notion of this out loud, she knew that it would do both herself and Clarice no good.
Seeing the pill, Diana parts her lips and takes it into her mouth. An audible swallow later and Diana can feel the heat that had began to smoulder in her chest fade away. She heaved a soft sigh, smiling to herself as the pain disappeared. "Thank you, teacher. I understand. I will not disrespect your better."

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Clarice raises a brow to the woman, sighing with an inaudible notion that the woman seemed to have forgotten a lot of the blonde mystic’s unique abilities. Seeing the mood change to one of distemper and perhaps aggravation only made the situation more in need. The woman had not even taken a single step forward before showing such scowling emotions already. Though she was not inclined enough to read the woman’s mind, she was already on the lines that Diana was annoyed and bothered about apologizing for something she brought upon herself.
Never the less, she ignored the woman’s sullen attitude for the time being and gestured for her to get herself ready. Diana may still be her student, but she apparently did not realize how severe she could be if she decided to act out in front of Vera. But in any case, she brushes the woman’s shoulders to make her presentable and makes sure the woman can walk a few steps before letting go of her and gesturing for her to follow. The trek to Vera’s office was slightly long given they were in the basement. If Diana didn’t have Clarice to follow to the stairs, she might very well get lost in this vast maze of rooms. Claire couldn’t even mention how many times the Head Girl had to tell her of direction down there.
As they left the immeasurable darkness of the basement with only Claire holding a flashlight, the light of the Shokushu building was perhaps blinding at first before human eyes adjusted and were able to continue functioning properly. It was only a few seconds Claire allowed Diana to adjust before she sustained a good walking pace. No words were spoken as they entered the dorm area and preceded to the elevator to Vera’s suite. The woman knew she would be coming within the hour and would no doubt either be waiting or be in the midst of compiling files together. She already doubted this would go completely smoothly and without some fraction, but might as well get this done and over with.
A soft knock came to the Head Girl’s office, and with the notion of being allowed in Clarice came in first and gestured for Diana to stand next to her on the opposite side of the door before she closed it. A simple head bow came before Claire stepped and gestured to Diana in a simple way, “Miss Matsumoto, I thought it would be best to bring the girl we found passed out in the bathroom here for you to make your assessment of whether or not Miss Varnia is to be relieved of anymore punishment. I’ve done exactly as I said I would do and everything went accordingly. I’ll even tell you she was mildly compliant with my order, although perhaps a little too well in one task I had her do. None the less, I wanted to make sure you see the girl has understood her wrong doing and is therefore here to apologize for causing any grief or concern you may have had.”

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
It indeed had not crossed Diana's mind that Clarice could read her thoughts or at least scry her emotions. She had forgotten completely of whom she was dealing with. Nonetheless, Diana was determined to at least present sufficient composure so as to get through this unscathed. Putting on her shoes and tying the shoelaces, Diana stood up and walked steadily for a few steps with Clarice's aid. It had seemed like an eternity since she'd walked. The two began the long trek out of the capricious dungeons and back unto the surface of the school. Diana did well to remain close to Clarice, resisting the urge to peer into the dark chambers that they stalked by or listen too closely to the ambiance of the hall, fearful of hearing the sort of tortures that happened here. Hugging herself as a cold breeze flew through the hallway, Diana concentrated on the sound of footsteps instead, their own (she hoped). At last the stairs that ascended to the school level appeared before them. As fresh air and harsh, artificial light stung Diana's eyes, she shielded herself with her hands from the light bulbs. She felt like she was having the hangover all over again. Blinking away the pain, she jogged to catch up with Clarice as she began her journey to the office of Clarice's better.
Diana was amazed at the elevator, both its state and its presence altogether. She was just as surprised at the suite that the head girl had been granted. She'd seen from outside the large suites that sit atop the school, rooms of many times the size of her own dorms, rooms which she had presumed belonged to the faculty. Boy had she been wrong. When the door opened, Diana blinked a few times to get herself out of her daze. She strode into the room when bidden, bowing her head slightly longer then Clarice, until she was introduced. She raised her head and felt a blush color her face as the reason for her sentencing was brought up. The girl found in the bathroom. Embarassment began to seep from Diana's mind, her hands fidgeting behind her back nervously. Diana was unsure whether to speak yet or not, so she simply kept quiet and watched with barely contained anxiety.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Like any school, possession and use of drugs was taken very seriously in Shokushu. Despite being a front to collect and train students for the slave market, a level of professionalism had to be maintained to convince the majority that this was in fact a prestigious school. It was impressive how students manage to put forth so much potential only to waste it on producing drugs and alcohol. Vera saw it as taking extrodinary measures to just thrown themselves off a cliff. Pointless and self inflicting.
Hearing that a student was found in a drug induced haze in the dorms only meant one thing for Vera, a whole hell of alot of work. Nothing was ever simple. This was not a violation that can be simply punished and corrected. The student's body had to be flushed out of the horrible chemicals. Then the Head Girl would have to put forth an investigation to track down where the drugs were produced and traded. Finding one student only meant there were more out there with it in their possession. Most of this would be taken care of by the proper authorities or the Director of Security and Safety but, Vera prefered to show she can handle matters that are thrown at her. She prefered to keep her distance from the staff if possible, especially the strange woman that was the new director. This only added to the pile of work that the Head Girl puts herself through.
Oddly enough, her only Prefect stepped forward to take some of the weight off her shoulders for once. Clarice's ability as a Prefect was average at best. The woman followed her orders and did no more no less than that. It was rather disappointing. After this much time, Vera had a slight hope that the student would improve. The Head Girl was seen as just a source to use by her Prefect and it was a sad fact she would have to deal with for now.
These facts made her wonder why Clarice stepped forward to punish Diana. Able to sense emotions like the golden haired beauty, it was the first sparks of pure emotion she had felt from the woman since she became a Prefect. The gloomy depression her Prefect was always in was replaced with disappointment and anger. Perhaps not the best change but at least it was a reaction from an otherwise emotionless woman. Knowing that Claire would not take advantage of this, Vera allowed the request and left Diana in the woman's care. Perhaps taking part of the inner workings of the school will give the woman a bit more perspective of her life and role here.
Left alone with the rest of her work, Vera was in her suite as always. With so much work, she left only to tend to a few tutoring duties before returning right to her desk to continue where she left off. Time passed before she heard a faint knock at her door. Sensing two people, she sighed and called the two women in. Both students were presentable but Claire's uniform was immaculate with a composure to match the required discipline for this job. The bow was polite though Diana seemed to be just watching and following along. The troublesome woman was no doubt nervous and eager to escape this room as soon as possible.
"I see," Vera replied softly, "You may use her name. It is what Miss Varnia has soiled afterall." She considered Clarice for a few moments. The other woman might as well not even be in the room then. She did have a question or two for her Prefect. Should she wait and deal with Diana first? It mattered little either way but she might as well find the reason why Claire volunteered for this.
"This is your first attempt to correct another student," she continued, "After months of never speaking up, you decide to step forward for this one. Could you please enlighten me why you decided to take in this responsibility, Clarice? It is not like you to suddenly take part in your role as a Prefect. I trust you did your first job well, correcting Diana of her wrongs and finding out where she found these drugs that she put in her system." Vera watched Claire carefully, reading the woman's aura in search of hesitation and lies. This was the first time the woman had opened up so as a Head Girl she was going to learn what she can about her little Prefect.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
It was enough to make Claire’s skin crawl as the woman regarded her so surprisingly of having her take her duties as a Prefect seriously. But she withheld such emotions, still uncomfortable with Vera being allowed to read her emotions just yet. Keeping a barricade up had been difficult, but few times she had thrown her caution to the wind Vera had picked up on faint readings. Whatever the case may be, Clarice could only take a short breath before opening her mouth to the Head Girl.
“It saddens me to say that I am actually much acquainted with Diana. It’s been quite a few months since I began actually having regular sessions of teaching the woman magic. It is one of the reasons I am mildly embarrassed and aggravated to have someone with so much potential throw it away with nothing more then a curious act to see what being high is like and the fact she nearly caused massive internal damage with how much she put into her own system seemed to just cry out to me as a chance to step forward.
I never… really was particular of punishing other students because I’ve been there position, as you may recall and found the whole idea to be cruel and unusual punishment. However, after having my time with Diana in the basement I find that giving a harsh blow on the first offense will greatly increase the chances of her to hesitate when she finds herself curious again… and Diana knows that this best be the first and last time with such a matter.”
She took a moment to breathe a few times, thinking back on the few questions she had asked Diana before they came up here and then began to speak while gesturing to the woman.
“Diana received this contraband from a fellow student who was apparently being investigated for said drugs. Since she recalls hair color, eye color and skin tone, I have already made a report before I came here and already know who it is. After I am given my briefing I will send word to have this student taken to basement where she will be in my care for the rest of night. It is apparently Miss Drencture with the fact there are traces of the drug in her locker but there is no pouch in her possession. Diana just happened to be in the right place for her to try and leave a cold trail, but in an act of ignorance, Miss Drencture probably didn’t think Diana would inadvertently get her found out.”
Stepping back, she turns to Diana and ushers her to stand before Vera’s desk before pulling up a chair and letting Diana take a seat in front of her. “And I believe Diana has something to say before you begin questioning her any further, Miss Matsumoto.”

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Diana could see Clarice's disposition and dislike of the woman. However, she saw no lack of respect. Clarice held herself up perfectly, never hesitating or giving even a sign to being rebellious in nature. Was she, Diana asked herself? Was Clarice truly a part of this terrible system, that did such horrible things to the innocents of the world? That had confined so many, herself among them, to rape? I suppose it was either have some measure of control or none at all. Diana could understand the temptation of such a position, but still felt a pang of disappointment in her teacher. Then again, who was she to judge? She was the one that almost drove herself into a drug induced coma, after all. As these thoughts whirled through Diana's mind, like an imaginary train of thought zooming along at great speeds, she blinked a few times to clear her mind and bring herself back to the present. Just in time to have Clarice introduce Diana's apology.
Then other thoughts began to whirl through Diana's mind as she sat down at last and looked down at Vera's desk, the documents it contained, the pictures of certain students. A certain type of hatred began to run through the blond's veins, speeding up her blood level. She crossed her legs and looked up at Vera. Was it such a bad thing that she hadn't been put in that coma? Was it such a terrible thing that she hadn't killed herself to escape this horrible, terrible fate that was known as Shokushu? Her eyes could almost visibly harden, the blue icing over as Diana's resolve slowly sealed itself. The train of thought had been derailed and crashed terribly in a catastrophic explosion.
"Head Girl Vera, I would like to propose to you my most sincere and heartfelt apologies. I truly wish that all of this work could have been avoided for you, and the paperwork altogether undone. But I know that such things are meaningless to you, as the work nonetheless exists and needs to be done. I hope that the producer of the narcotics is caught and disciplined as I have been." Her voice oozes sarcasm like a dagger does poison, turning them into much harsher tools then they were intended to be. "If there is anything I can do to help, please, don't hesitate to let me know, in order to make your job easier and perhaps save some of your undoubtedly precious time." Diana struggled against lashing out in the open, she held herself in check, trying to keep herself from making a scene, more for Clarice's sake then her own.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Things never really did go accordingly. Now she could understand Vera’s aggravation to some particular things as she felt her own blood begin to boil. Such obvious sarcasm was downright like a dagger plunging itself into Claire’s back and twisting it around a few times create a massive hole to where She was clearly see-through. Such a simple request and they both could’ve left and Claire could explain to Diana her situation after her punishment was paid for and done, but now the woman decided at the very moment to lash out with dripping sarcasm that would make anyone’s head turn.
It was almost immediate that after Diana had finished her lovely statements to Vera did Clarice’s rage boil over. But unlike Diana, she didn’t hold back very much as a hand came quickly over the back of the woman’s chair. Ina sudden thrust backwards, the sitting blonde would find herself falling back to the floor without any warning whatsoever. A simple request had now turned into a definite demand now.
The blonde mystic sighs and regards the rebellious woman in another disappointing fashion before bending down to loom over her at a closer range. Though Diana didn’t seem to be harmed, Claire looks her over as in regards to letting her rage get the better of her for a moment before she turned her attention back to the situation at hand. No amount of words could describe her aggravation, annoyance, anger, and disappointment all in one, but Claire had a few choice words for the woman for being completely stupid.
“Now you really have to apologize now. And not only to Vera anymore either. I tried showing mercy and I tried to be a fair person by letting you speak your opinion before anything happened. Now you’ve just gone and stabbed me right in the back… and I don’t really take well to a blunt liar, Diana.”
It was almost to a point where she wanted to scream at the woman for being so stupid at a time like this, but making a scene in front of Vera was now going to get the tossed blonde into a reality that she should’ve very well been aware of.
“You said you wanted to regain my trust and faith in you as a fellow magic user and as your tutor… was that all a lie so that you could have the chance to take some form of revenge on me?” she asks very seriously before snatching the woman’s chin her hand. Her aura bellowed with red torrent of rage that she could almost slap this woman into unconsciousness. It was a good thing she and Diana had become mildly close or she would’ve done so by now.
“You’ve hurt my position this time so now I have to find the right punishment for having such a mouth and lying full-heartedly. Or does “I will not disrespect your better” not ring a bell? I told you and I warned you. It seems you don’t really care about me as much as I do you, but that’s alright. I suppose I’ll have to make you right in not liking me much anymore.”
She shakes her head sadly before rising to her straightened position. Turning her back to Diana, she bows to Vera with her eyes closed and couldn’t help but breathe a heavy sigh of melancholy to this turn of events.
“I am sorry on behalf of the student you allowed to be in my care… because of this I can understand that since she is my responsibility I am at fault for not being aware she would act like this to you or I wouldn’t have brought her here to make amends and possibly see to it her record wouldn’t be damaged badly by this issue. If I am needed to accept punishment for my obliviousness then I understand. If nothing else and if you don’t have any suggestions or requests on what’s to be done to this student then I will send her off to her room and have someone escort her to me at a later time after I’m done with the student who smuggled narcotics into the school.”
She almost felt like she was in front of Natsuki again. She pretty much was copying what Kanoe had to do in order to ensure she would not get punished too severely for mistakes she made, but it all seemed to churn her stomach in any case. It was bad enough she already found herself to have failed with Diana and how she was supossed to to understand the rules to a betetr degree. Now she was thinking of that powerful being that practically ruleld her life outside her duties as a Prefect.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Now that even her teacher was against her, Diana's mental restraints snapped. "No, you severely misunderstand, I am sorry. Sorry that I didn't succeed in escaping this hell hole prison that you two comply with existing and causing you so much god damned trouble!" Diana pushed herself up to her knees and scowled at both of the women in the room. Vera for organizing it, Clarice for complying to it all. She'd had enough of surrendering to the system and giving in to this all, she'd had enough of being a pawn. "Was the offer truly worth it, Clarice? Was having some small, pathetic semblance of power, of responsibility worth surrendering everything you once stood for? I once trusted you as a child would a parent. I wanted your love, your approval." The girl's eyes began to soften as she remembered the desperate feeling of wanting to be understood, to be accepted. They then hardened again. "Now your approval isn't worth shit to me. Punish me, I don't care. You're not getting anything else out of me other then bitter resentment. Screw being a magical prodigy, if this is the consequences of it! You're right, taking those drugs was the stupidest and most careless thing I ever did, because I didn't take enough of them to put me out of this miserable place!" Her voice began to crack with emotion. She'd never been suicidal, but now the stresses of this place, of being taken over and over again, were getting to her.

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
((ack! let me have a word at least XP))
Vera had plenty of warning as she felt Diana's emotions flare up in defiance. Seems the punishment was not enough to correct this woman. Words drenched in sarcasm fell from the student's lips, showing her obvious disdain for the Head Girl. The silver haired woman said nothing with only a slight narrowing of the eyes to show her displeasure at the woman's conduct. It was bad enough to feign an apology but adding further lies about wishing to help out in any way was only adding more holes to a sinking ship.
But the Head Girl remained calm as it was not only this woman's aura that was flaring now. She was rather shocked by Claire's reaction. It was not merely the act that seemed out of place but the emotion that came with it. Diana was Claire's responsibility in more ways than one according to answers she received and Vera was rather impressed on how seriously the mystic was taking it in both ways.
Claire was obviously hurt by Diana's actions and after trying to help the little troublemaker did this to thank her. Furthermore, the mystic knew she had failed Vera in this task and was prepared for reprucussions. Though she was annoyed with Diana, Vera was more focused on her Prefect now. It was a perfect opportunity for training and she intends to take it.
"It is fine, Clarice," Vera replied cooly, "If I had known this was your apprentice and friend, I would have provided suitable supervision to assist you. From your reaction, you must have tried hard to correct this woman though perhaps subconciously you may have held back due to your past friendship with this one. Consider this a learning opportunity. You now see how students like this one are destructive even to themselves. She was given an opportunity to recover and become a proper student only to have her instead choose to live her life on the floor at someone's feet. As this was your first time correcting a student, I feel it is only fair to allow you to continue to correct this one. You may do it right here in my office and begin immediately. I can provide whatever tools you may need to show Diana here that following the rules will provide a more... favorable outcome."
Her eyes finally flick over to the fallen woman on the floor. "And you," she said coldly, "You have proven yourself worse than trash. At least other students are striving to become something though it is misguided. You are not becoming anything. You have potential in magic which means you are at least bright enough to become something. Instead, you decide that pumping chemicals into your brain is the best course of action. You are pathetic and it disgusts me to see such potential be wasted on such stupid defiant acts. Do you have anything to say to your mentor before your punishment resumes?"

Re: The morning after (For Clarice)
Clarice was slightly taken aback by Diana’s resilience and stupid disobedience. Nothing seemed to get through to the woman that Claire wasn’t necessarily against her, but now doing this right in front of Vera she had no choice to but be what Diana hated. She didn’t like this position now, having a past friend on the opposite side stirred emotions that had almost died inside the woman. What could she possibly do to correct this woman if she was suicidal?
It was hurtful to say the least that Diana now cared nothing for her. Unlike Kanoe, she never really did care for people hating her, but both her lover and Vera have tried to guide her through the ordeals and to not care so much of other people’s opinions. That didn’t mean it didn’t hurt, however…
Brushing herself off for a moment and fixing her sash, she looks to Vera in a very imperceptible want to understand what she wanted her to do now. She listens to Vera’s words and seems rather resistant to accept them for a moment. More punishment for Diana meant that she would be assaulted by the other blonde’s resentment like a battering ram. It almost made her shiver, but she did everything she could to hide her thoughts. She picks up the chair she had flung back with Diana in it and scoots it to Vera’s desk before regarding the woman with an emotionless expression.
“That is fine, Diana. If that is how you feel and we both having made and agreement on me teaching you have any time the opportunity to void it. After all I was only helping you and didn’t ask for anything in return so if you do not want me to teach you anymore, then you may say so at any time,” she spoke very coldly and turned her head away in mild sadness and disappointment, “However, that has nothing to do with what we’re talking about here so if you would be so kind as to shut your bitching mouth, you could do that as a favor for your former teacher.”
Walking passed Diana with a casual pace; Clarice locks the door to Vera’s office, taking the key out and walking back to push the key close to the Head Girl.
“I find it disgusting for you to think your life is that worthless to try and risk dying by over-dose of narcotics when there are ways of your surviving with horrible brain damage and internal organ injuries. I’ve told you once I do care about you, but if you want to die I can’t stop you from thinking such thoughts despite what you now know. But I can place on suicidal watch and prevent you from even attempting to kill yourself. And despite your apparent want to die, I can’t let you escape your dues. You’ve disregarded my feelings, insulted what I do for my own reasons which I will not divulge in since it is clearly not your business, and you completely disrespect my superior and a Head Girl for that matter.”
Since Diana decided to stay on the floor after being pulled back, Claire quite roughly grabs the woman’s shirt with both of her hands and lifts her up to glare coldly at her. She could almost scream at the woman, but decided not to at the very last moment. With so much going on in her personal life, this was the last issue she needed to deal with her mental state unsound as it is.
“But I do thank-you for showing me your true colors. I was honest upfront when you woke up in that room and told you that as long as you simply complied, I wouldn’t be merciless with you but now you’ve given me no choice. Since you decide to hate me, I’ll let you know the feeling is vaguely mutual. The poison running through your veins will not go away for a few days or unless I give you the antidote which I had with me because I assumed things would go mildly well. The sanative I gave you before we came here should be wearing off soon so unless you feel like writhing on the ground, you will do exactly as I say when I say it. Any other outbursts you would have me here before we begin or are you satisfied now?”
Of course it was a rhetorical question, but with how things were she wanted to make sure Diana got out all her anger in words and yelling. That way Claire could list them all as reason to never give the woman mercy ever again.
