The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar checked her notes one more time as she walked down the hallway. For weeks she had rumors there was another magic user on campus. Intrigued the blue haired student had filled her notebook with notes about the rumors she had heard. She had slowly had built up enough information that lead her to believe that there was a fellow student with raven black hair that has magical abilities.
Ishtar looked down again at her notes one last time. She wanted to confirm that the dorm room number was correct. This was too important to rely on her shoddy memory. However with the glance, the blue haired student had confirmed that this was the dorm room of one Kanoe Shade.
The young woman took a deep breath as she took a moment to take a few last second brushes through her long blue hair as she made sure her school uniform was on straight. First impressions were always the most important. When she was sure she was ready, it was then and only then she knocked on the dorm door.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Kanoe did not have much of a reputation and what little was said about her was less than favorable. Since her lover was a Prefect now, she has been causing less trouble in class and was now flying under the radar as far as encounters with staff is concerned. But there were always rumors about the freaky witch who spends all her time in a dark room. That rumor was mostly right.
It was a rarity for the dark witch to have visitors for many reasons. She generally disliked majority of the students on the island and had no interest in forming any bonds with any of them. That sort of outlook showed in her cold personality and was rather effective in pushing away the overly curious. But there were some that still come to speak to her and some that she found worthy of her time. Most of them were those who had a spark, a small chance to learn magic, which would assist her own goals.
Kanoe was done with classes and was already out of her uniform and in her long black robes. A long v cut revealed much of her impressive cleavage and anyone who managed to beneathe her robes would know that she wore nothing but some panties of black lace. She had other outfits but this was rather comfortable while she sat around in her room studying her art.
With a few apprentices wrapped around her finger, hearing a knock at her door was not as shocking as it was a year or so ago. Smoothing her robe, Kanoe rose to her feet and moved to open the door. Ishtar would not be able to make out much in the dimly lit room besides the raven haired woman standing at the entrance. Not recognizing the blue haired woman, her eyes narrowed slightly. The dark witch could not help but scan over the woman's body, seeing the curves that the uniform seemed to accentuate. But it would take more than looks to get beyond her door. Kanoe said only one word in a form of a question. "Yes?"

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar was surprised by the woman who greeted her at the door. The woman did match the physical description of Kanoe, but she was surprised by her outfit. She was wearing a long black robes that only accentuate her huge orbs. She looked like she was a sorceress right out a fantasy movie. Behind her the room was too dimly lite for the blue haired student to make much detail of the room.
Still Ishtar wanted to make sure she kept her manners. She bowed a bit. Excuse me, are you, Kanoe Shade? I am Ishtar Rocha and I was wondering if I ask for for a bit of your time. Ishtar smiled as stood finished her bow. She hoped the woman would at least be willing to entertain the thought for a moment.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
The woman did not seem afraid of her and even requested a moment to speak to her. There were very few students willing to come to her door like this. Sighing softly, Kanoe opened the door a bit wider. "Very well," she began, "You may come in. I do hope this is important and worthy of interuption." The witch flipped on a light for her guest and moved to the table to put away the tome she was looking through. The last thing she wanted was more rumors spreading about her so she kept her knowledge of magic as much of a secret as possible.
Once satisfied with the setup, she closed the door behind Ishtar when the woman entered. "Take a seat if you like," she said softly, "Is there anything you like to drink." Despite the annoyance of random guests, Kanoe was trained to show some etiquette. Grabbing two glasses, Kanoe poured herself some water as she waited for the woman to answer her question. She would pour the other woman her own cup and bring them both to the table before taking her seat across from the woman.
"Now... Why have you come here, Ishtar?" She asked, staring at the woman intently.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar continued to smile as the Kanoe was kind enough to let her in to who room. The raven haired woman was turned on the light in the room to provide a illumination in the room. The blue haired woman notice Kanoe put a book away but she didn't see what the book was about. The woman in front of the Ishtar must have some impressive vision to be able to read in a poor lighted room.
However Kanoe was a very polite host. Yes, I would love a glass of water, thank you. The blue haired student took sat down in a chair that was offered as she hoped to stay for a little while. She happily took the glass that the raven haired host had offered her before she too sat down.
Well, this is not an easy think to discuss delicately, so I am just going to be straight to the point. Ishtar fidget a little as being a direct was not something she was particular good but she refocused herself. I had heard rumors that you have dabbled in the magical arts? Is that true, because if it was I was wondering what magic you practice.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
The witch kept her composure as Ishtar explained her reason for coming here. It was another student who was interested in the realm beyond the natural. But there was still much she needed to learn about this woman before she considers providing any of her secrets. Kanoe stretched gently in her chair. The arching her back briefly caused her large E cup breasts to thrust out gently.
"There are many rumors about me," she replied, "But why should I even consider satisfying your curiosity? I have better things to do than to answer silly questions about magic and my life." Kanoe sipped her water, enjoying the brief refreshing break from her constant studies. But she would continue to play like she is annoyed or nonchalant about this visitor. If this woman truly hungered for this knowledge, the student will make an effort to convince her.
But if Ishtar was interested in magic, then perhaps this was another student has been attacked by monsters. It would be kind of her to help this woman out but it would take more than her power to save the woman. No, Kanoe saw this as more of an opportunity to take something for herself. Who knows, perhaps this woman has some knowledge to provide as well.

Ishtar watched as the raven haired student as she stretched on her chair, the blue haired woman felt a bit inadequate when she saw the size of her host's mound. But Ishtar wasn't here to compare measurements, she was here to find out more information on magic. The blue haired student cleared her throat a little before she spoke.
Well, I was hoping to learn some about magic. I already know a little about illusions and I can some magic but it takes alot out of me to do so. I want to expand my knowledge and perhaps gain more control over what I can do.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar did not really answer her question but she did provide a little bit more information. Some of the spells in her tome did involve manipulation and illusions but Kanoe was not very skilled in such delicate magicks. That and she was uncertain such spells that did not physical harm would be of much use against the monsters on the island. This was still a rare find even if the woman was a complete beginner.
The witch sighed softly. The information was worth at least a few simple answers. "Very well," she replied cooly, "Yes, I am familiar with magic and rather experienced at that. I suppose if you wish to learn more, perhaps we can come to some agreement. This knowledge is not exactly common and what I went through to get most of it was... less than pleasant. What exactly can you provide in exchange, Ishtar?"
Kanoe had a wide assortment of tomes, books, and scrolls that contain various secrets of magic. She also had what she learned from various monsters at the cost of her body and an entire database of knowledge from her mistress. For now, the witch would not mention the other magic users she knew of. This would be merely an agreement between herself and Ishtar until she learns more on the matter. Her arms fold infront of her chest as she waited patiently for what more this woman had to say.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Less than pleasant? Oh my. Ishtar thought about that for a moment as she tried to figure out what she meant by that. Still the opportunity to learn to from an experienced magic user was a rare opportunity and she needed to take advantage of it. Well, I am pretty hard working student and always willing to help out in things. You would get a very devoted student. However, I don't know what you are looking for exactly, what is that you are looking for that I may be able to provide?
Ishtar really want this to work and was willing to pull out the stop. If you wish to see a demonstration of my abilities, I can show you the magic that I know.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
"Me?" she replied, "I require nothing but that does not mean I will give away all my hard work for free. Past apprentices have offered and paid a price to gain bits of knowledge and power. It would most certainly be wrong for me to suddenly start giving away what I know. Are you saying you simply came here expecting to get what you want for nothing? I am a witch, not an angel dear."
"Show what you wish but I already believe that you can actually channel. You would not be here wasting my time otherwise or at least I would hope not," she continued, "Besides, I would not want you to exhaust what little mana you have if you claim it tires you out easily. But for coming this far I suppose I can provide a bit more detail in my abilities. As I said before, I am a witch. I am able to channel the elements of fire and shadow. I supposedly have a great amount of mana, perhaps more than any student on this island. Due to the overabundance of mana, my magic tends to be more power than control but it still gets the job done."
"As for what I could offer," she sipped her water briefly, "I have a large supply of notes and translations of various magicks. Most fall under elemental based magicks and witchcraft but I do have some knowledge of eastern based magic as well. I suppose that is enough to give you an idea on who you are speaking to. Now, I do not have all day so do consider why you came here carefully. I prefer not to have my time wasted by someone who is in over her head. Magic is more than just cheap parlor tricks. Magic is power, something anyone would want and desire."

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
No, no. I didn't mean you should give away you know. Ishtar held her hands up and shook them in a no gesture. You should expect a fee for your services, it is only fair. What ever your apprentices have paid in the past, I am willing to pay. Ishtar swallowed a bit as she wasn't sure what she getting herself into but she want to learn magic badly.
Ishtar smiled a bit. While I will be tired after a cast my spell, I think I can endure. I do want to show you what I know. The young woman stood up and began to prepare to cast. Slowly she began to cast an illusion on the ceiling of the night sky. At first it appeared to simply be the constellations in the night sky, but slowly but surely some lines began to appear around the constellations as they began to take on the forms of the constellation. Slowly but sure the entire ceiling became an dance of constellations.
Though Ishtar did weaken a little visibly, she did her best to maintain her strength. The entire time she had to remained focused on the illusion. So what do you think about this?

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
A dangerous answer to give, Kanoe thought. But then again she has been just as willing in her deals with monsters and higher powers. The question was if the woman would actually follow that answer after the witch revealed just what her apprentices have paid before. For now though, she allowed Ishtar to channel and show off a bit of magic. The illusion was impressive, covering her entire ceiling with the night sky. It looked like something you would see in some sort of space museum.
"You do show some promise," she answered, "So what exactly do you do when producing these illusions? But I am getting a bit ahead of myself. It would not be wise to move on when you do not know what my past apprentices have paid. A few already skilled magic users have provided information and skills that I did not have access to before. But most are beginners with nothing to offer of value... except for themselves. Some do not mind such a price. I suppose it depends on taste, give yourself to a human or give yourself to a demonic being in hopes of learning more magic. I will understand if you turn back now if you have nothing to offer. Some tend to be satisfied with living ordinary lives or are content with what power they have."

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar continued to stare at the ceiling, staying focused on the illusion. Offer myself? Her first instinct was to say no, but the last comment really got to her. If she was ever going to progress.. .ever become knowlegable in the ways of magic....she was going to have to find out what she was fully capable of. Ummm, well, I suppose I have no choice if I ever going to find what I can really do. If you accept, I would considerate a priveledge to learn under you.
Slowly Ishtar let illusion fade away as she began to look back towards Kanoe. Then she sat down in her chair and took a sip of her water as she awaited the witch's answer.

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
Ishtar took her answer rather calmly. Still, she had no idea why the woman was willing to go so far. Narissa wanted revenge against monsters and others wanted more power for similar reasons. This one may really just want to learn for the sake of learning. There was no signs of desperation in this decision, just plain acceptance.
"I see," she sighed, "So that is going to be your offer as well? Hmm.. I suppose I could accept another student. But I have no use for dolls. You are the one making this offer and I expect you to put forth the effort in paying this price in full. In exchange, I will see what I can do to improve your powers. Should I grow bored of you... Well let use just leave it at this for now."
"Now that the business is out of the way, we can begin right this moment," Kanoe said, "First off, are you aware of anything strange going on this island? Just wish to know who I am dealing with." With this woman being a magic user, she was a prime target for monsters. But there were chances of being lucky. "Also, where did you learn these spells? If you could tell me what steps you go through to channel these illusions, there should be a good starting point in finding any flaws."

Re: The Flow of Mana (for Kanoe)
I have seen alot of strange things on this island. My memory is not very good so I can't really remember the specifics, I usually have to write them down. This place seems to be filled with things...things that make me nervous. She tried to focus her thoughts a bit and push some the encounters she had been through out of her mind.
You wanted to know about my spell. Ishtar sighed at bit as she had to delve a bit in how she got sent here in the first place. Well, I never really have been taught formally. I was in an occult club in my last school, but before I was ready to learn spells, an incident happened that left me severely injured and with memory problems. Ishtar took a sip of water before continuing. I remember some of what others were doing before the incident, so I was able to figure out how to cast this spell. I kinda go the steps as best as I can remember it, but often wind up throwing alot of my energy into the spell to force it to work.
