"Look," Cindy reassured her, "everythings fine. Unless our bodies are killed by someone or something it's unlikely that they will perish. I mean, we can starve if we're here too long but we're not going to stay that long to worry about that. At most we might be a little bit famished if we stay too long but nothing that a little snack won't fix.

"Look, we cam check out your old place and come back here readily enough and channel the ley lines to get back. Of course we could always go back now but where's your sense of adventure?"

And with this, it was like a ton of joyful energy had returned to her. She actually jumped up and down, like an exited puppy. "Come!", she said. "I..I can't wait! I must see my house again. Pia tried not to think about it, but she was really, really homesick. Especially since she knew there was a good chance she would never return home again. If this was safe, if it worked, she could at least keep tab on her own folks.

Able to see her now visually she seemed to appear out of nowhere. It was now that she tried her hand at acting, normally not her strong suit as she appeared stern as she walked towards the man, then after a few steps she concentrated again to dip back into the astral plane hoping to deceive the man, to get him to think that she was something she was not ...

"Ghost?" The man blinked as if he had not really believed that he had seen anything at all. He looked down the alley way in the direction the pair was approaching from, his grip instinctively tighteng on his knife though he had not turned tail just yet as if he was spurned on by curiousity.

The woman with him used his distracted state to slip away further down the alley away from the man who had seized her and dragged her into the place.

Pia halted, her desperate anger momentarily dispelled by amazement. What had Cindy just done? Pia was gaping with wonder. To say she was impressed was an understatement, to say the least. Cindy had just done something Pia thought was impossible, manifest her astral body in the real world. And that at a distance of several light years from her body.

As Pia stood there, the woman was using the time to escape, slipping down the valley. Pia returned her attention to her, actually jumping up and down and applauding. She was getting away! She was getting away! Somehow, this made Pia feel jubilant. How many times had she wished for one chance, just one chance to get away? The man looked around though he saw nor heard anything else as he did so. He turned back seeing that his victim had a sizeable head start on him he cursed as he collapsed his switch blade thrusting in back into a pocket then hurrying back out into the street.

He seemed paranoid though, constantly looking over his shoulder as he went.

"That took a good deal out of me ... I ... I need a breather, woah," Cindy panted as she composed herself with a few deep breaths. She gazed to Pia with a grin set on her features. "I wouldn't go trying that any time soon, I was sick for days the first time I so much as tried that. Ok, I'm feeling as good as I'm going to feel so let's get going."
