Mizuho had been studying late at the school, she was the only one left in the classrooms. She was at her locker putting away some books as she prepared to call it a night. The moonlight was the onlything that iluminated the hallways. She closed the locker and sighed turning on her cell phone, it was dead. "shit thats all i need" She turned around brushing some of her pink hair out of her face. She started heading for one of the doors.

Shirrow was sitting at his desk gradeing variouse papers. It wasnt difficult to assume this teachers role. He sighed gathering another stack of papers and setting them in a tray to his right. "Its a miracel they have survived this long." He said, reviewing the marks he had written down, only a handful had apparently even listened to his rant on the relationship of preditor and prey.

With another sigh he stood, adjusting the black tie he wore around his neck. Mights as well call it a night.. he thought. He walked across the silent and empty classroom when a fient sound reached his ears. He paused still listening and sniffing the air. Someone was still awake..a girl.

A thin smile spread over shirrows handsome stolen face. He crossed the classroom and seounds, silently slipping out the door. He didnt see anyone but he could sence her presence but he was not sure where she was. He stood quietly hopeing she would make some kind of sound.

Mizuho walked along the hall and looked around the corner. She got a bad feeling it wasent smart to be out late. She knew this was the number one time that the monsters came out. She locked at her watch it was 1:00 in the morning.

Shirrow listened intently into the silence. Echoing threw the air like ripples on a pond came the sound of footsteps, so quiet like a dieing heart. His thin smile grew into a malicious grin.

Silently he turned toward the direction of the noise. Without a sound he approached. Practically gliding across the floor like a ghost or some kind over oversized bat. He chuckled quietly and tuned the corner sharply.

Even in the dark he could see her quite well. He gave her a quick once over, she was very attractive. He could feel his mouth starting to water. A slight pressure began to build around his middle but he ignored it. It appeared he had gone unnoticed, which gave him the advantage.

Lets see you sweat, he thought to himself. "My my, aren't we up late?" He spoke in the low smooth voice of the man who's life he stole. He stepped out of the shadows at the end of the hall and into the light of the moon shining threw a window.

The soft light made his unnaturally pale skin glow like wax. He was dressed in his usual outfit. Black pants a white button up with a black tie. His thin glasses matched his features perfectly setting of his thin sharp face. He had a feral air about him, and his presence though intimidating was oddly seductive. He couldn't have chosen a better skin.

"Up to no good? Or just admiring the night? I wonder.." As he spoke he took several steps toward her; the thin smile returning. His emerald eyes met hers, and for a split second might have glown a soft red or was it simply a trick of the light?

"oh im sorry sir..i was finishing up on a report..im done now and was heading to bed" She bowed before him as was her japanese custom. She looked back up at him and studied his face. He did seem odd the air about him was not pleasent. She saw his pale skin in the moonlight, she thought to herself that alot of men were pale arounf this island. She backed up alittle sensing some danger.

Shirrows smile widened. "At one in the morning?" He sounded skeptical. The hall was too open he needed to get her into a classroom. Her previouse statement drifted threw his head and he was hit with a stroke of genius.


"If that is the real reason you where out of bed." He paused, his voice becomeing stern and instructive. "Then you wont mind gradeing some of the papers in my classroom. I think this is a fitting punishment." He wasn't sure if being out late was actually against the rules, but hopefuly his authority as a teacher would keep this opportunity open.

Mizuho looked at the man and smiled. "yes sir if that is what you want" She bowed again and waited for his answer, she was really creeped out by his look. She had never seen a man like him before around the campus and she thought that she knew all the teachers. She walked forward alittle. "where is your classroom?"

His smile grew. He loved it when a plan came together so perfectly. He foguht to keep a straight face, he didn't want to give away his excitment. "Its back this way." He said, his tone level. "Third door on the right, room number 204."

He took a step back and spred his arm out in a sweeping motion as if saying 'after you'.

Miz walked on by him and looked for the room she soon found it and walked inside. She looked around the dusty room, it wasent very well kept. She looked over at the desk and spotted the pile of papers she sighed as she walked over and looked them over. It would take her all night to grade them all and she hated it but at the same time she didnt need to be in anymore trouble. "are these the papers u need graded sir?"

Shirrow followed her into the classroom, decideing to keep up the ruse a bit longer, they always taste better when scared. "Those there." He pointed to a a stack of a few folders each one full to capacity. When you finish a folder, put it there." He pointed to the bin which he had set a pile only moments before. "You may begin."

Shirrow turned and sat down on one of the desks, his eyes studying her. He could see her beauty much more clearly in this light. "I dont belive I have you in any of my classes." He said casualy. "I teach biolagy."

He pointed to the black board behind her. Scribbed on its surface was a food chain, but the normal place on top which contained humans was empty. Amoung the random pictures where notes on evilution and the laws of the hunt. It was clear he was no normal teacher.

Mizuho got to work on the folders, she had a hard time grading some of the papers some of the students had horrible grades. She looked up at him with his comment. "i dont take biology...i dont need it" She looked back down at the papers and winced at the F before her. "ouch"

Shirrow grimmaced slightly. "Don't need it eh?" He said, his tone mocking. "The more students I have the more I think the need it. Its amazeing how many dont understand the natural order of things or...know there place."

He stood and walked over to the window looking out at the night sky, his eyes fixed on the moon. "They think they are the masters of this planet, top of the food chain." He laughed loudly, the sound slightly disturbing. "They think there technolagy makes the supirior. But there just as weak as they where a million years ago. Un-fit to survive in the wild."

He turned away from the window and looked at her his eyes flashed red, this time there was no mistakeing it. "They are the prey, and something in them remebers that." He took several steps twoard her. "They fear the night, they know or part of then dose; that they are nothing but food." This last sentance came out as a hiss. "Do you know your place?"

"sir...thats alittle to close" She looked up at him she wend wide eyed at his look she jumped out of the chair. "sir.......i have to go" She turned and ran out the classroom and hauled ass down the hallway. She ran as fast as she could, stupid for her to stay up so late int he first place. She tried to fine the nearby door any door.

Shirrow grinned, at her fear. He began to advance but before he could move she had ran. "Damn she's fast!" He growled, spinting out the door. He had to catch her, if she got away his cover would be blown.

As he ran he bent closer to the floor useing his arms to help propel him foreward. Even in this form his arms where much stroger than his legs. He saw her running down the hall looking around franticaly. With a move remminicent of the life he took weeks before he launched himself foreward, landing with a thump right infornt of her. With supernatural speed he spun upright reached out with his right hand and clamped it over er mouth pinning her to nearby locker.

His emerald eyes where glowing an evil blood red, his mouth was open, his teeth slowly growing out into sharp points, his fingures stretching out and becomeing longer, his hands now claws held her tight with immense strength.

He groweled, his pale skin turning black and growing shiney brown hair. He was in half way into his true from, chooseing to remain catiouse. He couldnt have her here, it was to open. He spotted a classroom a few feet away. "You will learn your place." He growled, his voice not longer smooth and seductive but harsh and angry.

Mizuho screamed as he grabbed her and slammed her intot he locker. She did scream louder as she saw him change, she was yanked off her feet and pulled toward the nearby classroom. She kicked and jerked as best she could. She turned and kicked him and punched him as hard as she could.

She was frantic now her movements out of pure fear, she wanted to be so far away fromt his man this thing. She tried to look for anyone to help but the chances of someone being up this late would be rare.
