Background: Raised in LA by her father, Alyssa had a normal life until the age of three. Alyssa's older sister was killed in a gang shootout. Alyssa's father, determined not to lose another daughter, raised Alyssa to be a warrior since the time she could walk. He educated her in the finer points of hand-to-hand combat and trained her extensively in the use of firearms and improvising explosives and other weapons. Alyssa's schooling was done at home by the best teachers her father could find, using almost all of the wealth left to him by his grandfather and late wife and her family. She later went on to become a freelance mercenary and during a particularly nasty mission with several other mercs, their exit was cut short when their extraction vehicle was hit by a rocket, blowing Alyssa off her feet and through a wall, part of which collapsed on her left arm, crushing it completely and knocking her unconscious. When she came to, she was laying in a hospital bed and her entire left arm had been replaced with a cybernetic prosthetic. Several days later she was approached by a new group of mercenaries who claimed they operated on an intergalactic scale. At first she scoffed at the idea, but after they provided the evidence she figured what the hell and signed up. Several raids on pirate ships in the system earned her even more experience and reputation among the mercenary rings, until one fateful day they slaved her out. They sold her to a pit and she was used over and over by whatever alien was willing to pay the price. She spent months there, her will unbreakable much to the slavemaster's chagrin. Then an ADD raid shut the pit down and rescued her, offering her a chance to join them and strike back. She didn't hesitate to say yes. Alyssa adapted quickly and has grown accustom to, even enthusiastic of, her new life.

Psychological Profile: Extremely calm under fire, Alyssa has spider-like patience. She almost never angers and controls her emotions with incredible efficiency. Her father also instilled deep wariness in her, and almost nothing eludes her ever watchful gaze. While on a mission, her entire personality shifts to that of a tactical analyst, checking angles and marking escape routes and such.

Personality: While she may seem cold to some people, she is actually very warm and friendly if you can get past her reading you at a glance. Intelligent and with a sharp sarcastic wit, she is a lively person to be around when not on a mission.

Weapons of choice: A pair of HK45s with ported barrels, beveled magazine wells, extended magazines holding thirteen rounds each, undercut triggers guards, tritium three dot target sights, threaded barrels to mount silences and angled ejection ports. One has a matte black finish with the word "Righty" stamped on the slide, while the other has a stainless steel finish with the word "Lefty" stamped on its slide. She also uses an elegantly styled katana with roses engraved along the length of the blade and a handle wrapped in rich dark leather sheathed on her hip. She also carries a combat knife with a seven inch blade in a sheath on the small of her back. However she has been seen with a variety of weapons from assaults rifles to baseball bats and will use anything she can get her hands on during a mission.

Equipment: A prototype mask-mounted device allowing her to manipulate shadows to the point that she can teleport between pools of shadow and make shadows move independently of the objects that made them. It has a lot of bugs however and may not always work as advertised.

Fighting style: A customized mix of Muay Thai, Kali, Aikido and Special Forces CQC techniques

Motivation: Making her father proud and wanting to ensure that no one has to lose a family member like she did, and, most recently, vengeance to restore her own dignity and feeling of worth

Behavior: Very methodical with the care of her weaponry, with an almost religious reverence for her katana.

Capabilities: Very capable at medium range with her handguns while extremely brutal and efficient with close combat and assassination work. Her senses are also highly tuned, and she was taught a variety of decryption and hacking techniques on both human and alien computer technology.

Weaknesses: Hesitates when innocents are involved and also has a slight peripheral vision deficiency from a blunt force trauma when she was younger. Also suffers from an inferiority complex.

Ship/Vehicle: a 1967 Chevy Impala when not on duty. When on a mission she uses whatever the agency issues her.

Well, seeing as there's no monsters on Earth... but that's an easy fix no?

However, you answered yes about her being an SHS student... the way I'm reading it now... the ADD would have no real reason to approch her. Also, she would not be operating on Earth. Not to mention the ADD is not known on Earth except by world leaders.

Psych profile looks fine, since that's mostly a sharpshooter/sniper mindset.

So might I propose this suggestion: she got approached by a group of intergalactic mercenaries or pirates, and from there she gets approached by the ADD after they raid where she's at?
