Background: Melanie was born to Trisha O'driscoll during one of the most strenuous moments of her life. Trisha, despite being a promising High School Graduate, had fallen into a bad crowd, claiming to be taking a skip year to engage in her sexuality and new-found freedom. Her parents (smart people, no doubt), promptly cut her off. But why did Trish care? She lost herself in her passion and perception of immortality. Then, she became pregnant. She realized that an abortion would be too costly, and caring for a child was a terrible job. She considered abandoning the child, but then gave herself a long look in the mirror one night after a wild orgy. She was not the Trisha O'driscoll, the Salutarian. She was just... Trish. The whore. The woman who would fuck any man for the sheer pleasure of it all. Trish began to make money with her body and intelligence. She began to build herself a small fortune (if you could call it that), and used every bit of strength she had to ensure that her child would become something greater than her.

So, when Melanie was born, and Trisha O'driscoll was suddenly a mother, things began to take a dive. For one thing, caring for a baby was extremely difficult. Trish had three jobs, two of which she could not afford to keep. She needed her darling baby to give her support, and not even a 10k figure would keep her away from her child for more than 3 hours at a time. She constantly fought with herself to avoid the drink and drugs her patrons offered her, and always ensured that Melanie was in good hands before she went out for her "night duty."

This provided a steady flow of money for Melanie during the first eleven years of her life. Then, Melanie, happy child she was, marched past a group of middle-school boys, with nothing better to do than pick on an elementary school girl. They proceeded to mock her and her mother, and poor Melanie, unable to reply with anything, merely took the verbal abuse (What? They were just being guys, not pricks. I mean, who beats up elementary kids for entertainment? Not me <.<). "Slut." "Whore." "Skank." These words would forever be planted in Melanie's subconscious.

When Melanie began Middle School, she had come to understand what her doting mother was- but she refused to think of her as anything so terrible. Secretly, Melanie swore to become the exact opposite of her mother. She worked tirelessly to excel in cast, and even became a prefect. The Rules were uphold at Melanie's school to a "T," for Melanie was a total monster. Her eyes, now accustomed to the trash of men, would easily spot and discern the offenders and defenders of truth and justice. She took her little job to seriously for the rest of the school though. It reached a point where Melanie actually injured a boy for bringing in a Porn Magazine.

The school psychiatrist promptly recommended a different avenue for Melanie's intense hatred of everything her mother represented. Boxing. Little did the poor man know.
Melanie pounced on it like a Wild Cat in front of an Ob/ob lab rat. Of course, the results were much more substantial. Melanie began to aid her mother in the urge to make more cash by winning competitions.
By the time Melanie reached Freshmen year, she was something of a local legend.

But Trish had a life of her own. Note that she rarely saw Melanie- by the time Trish woke up, Melanie had already started jogging to school. By the time Melanie returned, Trish was working her shift at the Blue Lobster. Trish would be up all night doing what she knew best. I won't divulge unnecessary details.
But that all changed when Trisha met Victor DuPont, an affluential businessman who had played his life completely by the rules. They hit off, and soon Victor knew everything about Trisha's darling daughter, and Trisha knew everything about Victor. The truth is, Trish was very ashamed of her past, but Victor was there for her, supporting her with kind words and a gentle hand. It was no longer about the sex- they actually never got under the covers (And, before you ask, they didn't do anything freaky). Victor and Trisha were genuinely in love.

And this would have been ok for Melanie- if she ever bothered to notice that her mother was dating. But finally, during Christmas, Melanie met the man. He actually turned out to be pretty cool (for a guy), and even let Melanie watch a few matches of Pro Wrestling on his PPV. And so, the two were happily married and Melanie's new last name was "DuPont." The entire family thing actually worked pretty well. The three of them went to Tahiti for the couple's Honeymoon, so Melanie was treated for all the summers she wasted working.

Then, she was informed that she would parobably need to go to a school other than the one she had intended to go. A despondent Melanie was given a multitude of options (Victor even tried to get her to laugh by popping in a Hogwarts Pamphlet), but she could not truly decide. She finally narrowed it down to the two most expensive schools- an All-girl's paradise Academy called "Emerly Davis' Academy," and a school that truly reminded her of her old one. She would probably never admit this, but she is REALLY going to miss all her old friends. She had distinct reservations about being in an all-girl's school, seeing as her interests laid along a more... masculine route.

Then, she discovered Victor's little secret.

While using Victor's laptop to upload pics from her Tahiti trip to Facebook, Melanie accidently double-clicked on a folder called "Shokushu no Ohimesama." And she bore witness to the unholy offspring and Japan and Porn- Hentai. She ran over to the bathroom, retching up the octopus she had eaten for dinner.
By the time she returned, she had already decided which school she would attend. The event also kinda strained her relationship with Victor, who quickly stated that his Hentai days were over.

He promptly deleted all the files, and filed the forms.
And so, Melanie, disgusted by the very thought of OCTOPUS, was sent off to the Academy.

Little did she know that the Academy was just a proxy for more unwilling teens to attend Shokushu.
