Allisa Vandelay
Name: Allisa Vandelay Age: 18
Place of Birth: Perth, Australia Previous Place of Residence: Melbourne, Australia Nationality: Australian Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Blue Ethnicity: American/Australian Skin Tone: Pale-Tan Pubic Hair: Shaven Distinguishing Features: Olive green marks on her legs.
Background: Allisa Vandelay was born in Perth Australia. Her father, an American migrant named Art Vandelay is a wealthy importer/exporter who started his business from money accumulated from his previous days as an architect. From when she was little and Mr. Vandelay was still an architect, Allisa would help her farther with architecture, bringing tools and equipment to him. He would teach her what he knew about architecture. The different designs, the technical and aesthetic aspects of building materials etc. Eventuallly, as he gained enough money, Art decided he would become an importer/exporter, something else he became very successuful at. Allisa began to teach herself architecture, and eventually began to design buildings. These designs were not public of course, rather remaining in her room. Allisa put architecture before many things, including school. By age 14, Allisa could have designed the Burj Khalifa, but was obtaining a string of Band ones and twos in her school work. Her mother was extremely irate at the results, but her father, while initially sharing his wife's resentment, was elated when he saw Allisa's designs.
She dropped out of school before her School Certificate (which she would have failed anyway) at age 15 and began work as an apprentice architect. In the meantime, Art became increasingly wealthy. His wealth attracted all kinds of people from the top of society to the lowest. Allisa would often be driven home by her boss, who was grateful for her skill and wished to do something. As Allisa and her boss were driving home, they turned into a side street as per usual. What they did not notice was a black van following behind them. Allisa heard two shots fired and ducked immediately. Next to her was her boss slumped at the wheel, the car out of control. The car slammed into a tree and Allisa was knocked unconcious.
Allisa woke up tied to a chair in a windowless room that looked like a cell with its grey walls. There was a camera in front of her. A message was sent to her father. She was to be held until her father paid $20,000 to the kidnappers. Art immediately paid the money to secure Allisa's freedom. Unfortunately, she had also been placed for auction in a human slavery ring. A H.E. Pennypacker had purchased her for $1.5 million dollars. H.E. Pennypacker, a wealthy industrialist, had heard that a dictator wished to construct a palace in his country that would stave of any attack while still looking grand enough for a man of his position. There would be a contest to see who could come up with the greatest design. When Pennypacker heard of Allisa's potential as an architect, he could not pass up this opportunity and with her in his possession, Pennypacker was able to enter the contest. For three years, Allisa worked on the project. While uneasy at first, the prospect was too hard to pass up, her passion for architecture too strong. Her compliance allowed her to live well (though she was never let out of Pennypacker's estate). Pennypacker allowed her to do many activities, as long as her work was up to scratch at the end of each month (which it always was), allowing her to learn SAMBO, a Russian martial art that she was interested in (mainly because she wanted to be able to defend herself from those who would want to abduct her and use her magnificant architectual talent for evil purposes). Eventually, she came up with the best design by far and construction of the palace began. Meanwhile, the dictator could not afford foranyone to know of the design of the palace for security reasons. Pennypacker was ordered to deliver her cadaver to him in order to secure payment. Before this could happen, however, agents hired by Art Vandelay found out where Allisa was and managed to rescue her from Pennypacker.
Allisa was unfortunately unable to bring a design with her, all being destroyed but the one the dictator had. No one would believe that she was the architect but her father, and thus she was offered no protection, nor was she asked for information. However, the dictator's assassins were looking for her. Not knowing what to do, people from a university approached Mr vandelay with a scholarship offer. She would be allowed to study architecture only if she wanted, ignoring all other subjects. The security details shown to Mr Vandelay were enough to convince him that Allisa would be more safe in this university than anywhere else. Allisa was quietly bundled off onto a plane headed for the university, the dictator's agents too late, only being able to see the plane fly away.
Psychological Profile: Since the abduction, Allisa can be a bit edgy when alone, especially in the dark. She is very alert, always suspecting someone might come for her, especially assassins from the dictator. She also has a very strong sense of justice, especially when it comes to slavery. She can become quite angry at times, especially when reading news regarding anything similar to slavery. She also aims to please and tries her best to become friends with people. Her 3 year imprisonment in the Pennypacker estate allowed her only the company of a few, and she gained good friends in the staff there.
Personality: She is a bit arkward with large groups of people but will often try to become good friends with people, especially those she will have to be with often. Allisa is modest about her architecture.
Virgin? Yes Piercing or Tattoos: No Language: English Likes: Rap Music, Symphonic metal music, architecture, SAMBO, reading good books (don't ask her about genres or anything, she'll just read it if it's "good"). Activities: Drawing up designs for buildings of different kinds, pratcising SAMBO, being with friends. Magic? Some have said her architectual ability is magical, but I doubt that counts.

Re: Allisa Vandelay
One thing that seems to bother me is the dropping out of school and becoming a slave at age 15. Also, Archetcture DOES involve a number of other classes, such as Math, Geology, physics... so perhaps just changing the wording might help... like "Focusing on the archetcture courses of study" might help. I'll have to read into it more though, so I'm holding off judgement for now.
