Background: From before Elizabeth was 14, she has no memories of her life. The earliest memory she has is walking into a mini mart in Anchorage, mostly naked and almost frozen. Before that its just a haze of gray nothingness. After that day she moved in with the mini mart owner who felt sorry for her.

She came to Shokushu because she needed to learn everything that she must have know before, but couldn't remember now. She also has a tiny hope that there could be some way to get her memories back, but doesn't want to linger to much on it.


Psychological Profile: She has always felt that there was a reason that she didn't remember anything, but doesn't want to admit it. She wants to remember, but is scared for what she would find, so she doesn't go out of her way to remember. Because of her lack of memories she is fascinated with hearing other peoples stories about their own lives. People say shes invasive, but she is just trying to fill her head, even if it isn't her own memories.

Personality: A little quiet, but more than anything she is just always thinking about something. She is fairly fearless, wanting to try as many things as she can, but is also terrified about things. She thinks that shes going to end up doing something that will bring everything back, and everything would be horrible.

Lost memories normally suggest trauma, like something bad happened to her that made her block it all out or repress the memories. Finding herself like that at 14 could be after something happened like an accident or something else entirely, maybe something that scared her so badly she blocked it all out and wants to forget, or she just hit her head...

Like Therion said, loss of memories usually suggest trauma, but it's also likely that events too horrible to deal with could have caused her mind to repress it, basically shutting herself away from having to relive it. The mind does have quite a bit of power. -nods- I'm sure there'll be plenty of other advice as well; everyone here is quite nice.
