Re: Tentacles and stuff
Here is the last one, out of four. A priestess of an ancient cult finally sees the face of her diety, a being from beyond time and space. He is grating her a glimpse of the mysteries he guards while ravishing her body at the same time. Rapture or rape? All the last four belong to the same series, being loosely based upon Lovecraft. Now I want to do something more Shokushu-ish again, I think.

Very nice.

Re: Tentacles and stuff
Not tentacle-related at all, but I thought I'd like to post it anyway. This is inspired by a cult RPG called SLA Industries, that I might be GMing for some friends soon. This is an ebon (freaky emo-mutants with psychic powers and pseudo living catsuits) about to meet a shady contact in Lower Downtown (an unpleasant place, but not as unpleasant as the Cannibal Sector). I had fun making the concrete look as water, damaged as possible, and doing the smoke effects. I love doing smoke in PS.

Re: Tentacles and stuff
A new one! I am pretty poor with light and contrast, so I challenged myself with this one, indeed, it was a little more challenging than expected. I was working with two sets of contrasts. Pale skin against black, and bright fire against murky darkness. Balancing the two was pretty difficult, this must be the one piece I used the Revert button on the most

"Yeah, it's in the name." So I guess I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, but I love the Lovecraft-related art. (The Bride of Innsmouth was my favorite, perhaps because it got "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Fish-Men" stuck in my head, lol.) The rest of your gallery is pretty fantastic too- I love that a lot of the images have a sense of humor about them, as well as just being well-executed. Kudos.

"It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Fish-Men", I had not heard that one, so I checked it out. Now I got it stuck too!
Anyway, thanks for the comments! I am glad you found a sense of humor in it. I try to have fun drawing, so I hope some of that shines through in the finished product.

Re: Tentacles and stuff
A new one, and a fairly uncomplicated one. It is just Pia getting caught by a few insectoid aliens, with the usual results.

Re: Tentacles and stuff
Nice work. The grey one's eye seems to be melding a bit with his nostril... or smaller eye. But still, I like it *nods nods*.

Re: Tentacles and stuff
Yes, you are right. The smaller eye does seem to merge with the larger. I will try to see if I can fix it. Thanks!

Re: Tentacles and stuff
I really like your art, Pia. I wish I had some of your ability, just for drawing the female form. I kinda suck at proportions, and depth...

Re: Tentacles and stuff
To be honest, I struggle with those myself. When it comes to proportions, the best advice I can give is either to find some pictures you think are nice, from a comic or anything, and try copying them, and see if you get any eye openers that way, or just doodle a lot until you come up with something you think looks all right. Depth can be tricky (although, from the one you showed me, I am not sure that actually is a problem for you). I guess the best way is to buy a 'How to draw' book, where a real artist explains how it is really done. Or just use a shitload of layers in photoshop That is my puny advice, at least
