The muffled ring of bells registered in SPHERE's sensors, awakening the dormant machine. Starting up from sleep mode the machine made a quiet whistling noise and it floated into the air, beginning its start up assessment. A generically enunciated computer voice began to verbally announce its results. "Verbal circuits online and functional. Memory databanks fully acesable. Air manipulation unit thrust at twenty percent, testing propulsion to forty percent. said the voice as a quiet hum was given off as the sphere rose higher into the air. " Trust satisfactory, returning to normal propulsion height. As the voice spoke the sphere lowered itself back to its original floating height. "Recalling last position, locating. . ." began the voice. Beginning
to run the location program led the machine to a profoudly wrong beep. " Location program inactive, runing emergency location. . " said the voice before one of the visual sensors on the outside opened and the orb spun in all directions, letting the eye catch ever minute detail faster than the human eye. "Located, dorm room, serching student records." It would take a bit for the records to be found in SPHERE's large memory banks, and then finding the specific file, so it went about its business.
Going over a couple dozen more checks- including rotational checks, visual checks, tentacle movement, phalus generation and visual simulators- it came to one that caused the voice to stop. " Voice sensitization, ten percent. inadequate. the machine buzzed angrily, spinning in a circle. " Engaging personality circuit." said the computer voice before another whistling noise. A screen was mounted on one side of the wall, only partially visible but you could tell still that it was blank for now. " Its perfectly safe, I promise again, that no harm will come to you this is a simple routine test." watching the student carefully, he extended a couple steps to allow the student an easier time getting in. The padding changed before her eyes, forming into a chair to obviously make Kanoe more comfortable for whatever this test was supposed to be. For all the reassurance, some more info would be nice. Not that the witch would go anywhere near the mysterious orb.

"I'll pass," was the only answer Kanoe gave before reaching to shut the door as she left, giving any sort of barrier between her and the strange device. How did such a large machine get in her room? Was this sent by NICE labs? What tests was it going to run? In anycase, the positive voice only worried her more as the thing claimed there were no other options. Assuming she gets out the door, the dark witch was going to run down the hall towards the nearest stairwell. There was no way she was going to volunteer to walk into an unknown machine for testing.

With a robotic sigh SPHERE moved to the door, extending a tentacle to turn the door knob quickly. " Ah, now you see, that wasn't one of the options. This is a required test." he said, shooting three tentacles out the doorway to grab at the running student. The visual sensor nodded again, being as reassuring as possible.

Releasing her from the tentacles and moving them back under the padding and out of sight, all that was left was the simple padding chair and the screen across from it. Lighting up quickly the screen showed the word SPHERE and then the word moved to the top of the screen, giving two touch screen button options. Emerging from under one of the pads came one of SPHERE's many visual sensors. " Now we can begin, welcome to SPHERE, officially. Now before we can begin any testing I need to make sure that all my data is up to date." he said, looking over her file again and noticing something interesting. " Oh, it says here that you spend extended amounts of time with a girl named Clairice, yes, it says here that there is possibly something romantic going on? Hmm? SPHERE's visual sensor nodded with each answer, checking them with his internal files. All the answers seemed to match up correctly. That was a good start, now to go a bit more in-depth. " Now then.
