Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Slimer had been working at his lab long hours the past few weeks on the formula for the new fuel source. Everytime he thought he figured out the problem, hours later he would begin anew only to reach the last step of purification, when the reaction would go bad leaving an unholy evil smell. He contemplated moving the experiment outside, but such a move wasn't practical with so many adventurous students at the campus. He spent hours pouring over the notebook with his equations. As he stared at his handwriting the extra two vallence electrons in his purification element seemed to be the problem. He spent a week scavenging the campus and labs looking for the needed compound but had sttuck out.
Left to his own devices to obtain the difficult to maintain element, he had used his ships com to contact an old friend who only had two leads and one he ruled out when he heard the name, no desire to run into the pirate again. The second was a smuggler two systems over who he hadn't heard of in more than passing. If memory served correct though he focused on flesh trade of most species including human women, a very valuable sex slave throughout the area.
It took awhile but he finally made preparations for the meeting, and launched his ship into orbit. It was a cargo vessel by nature, designed for smuggling runs, with a moderately effective cloaking system, but lacking in firepower against a true war vessel. He engaged the cloak as he exited the atmosphere and prepared to fly at top speed to the meeting, arranged by his old friend, to simply get it over with, anxious to return to Shokushu and finish his creation.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
What a boring day....
That went through the mind of young Kirsty, a relatively rookie member of the ADD out on simple patrol around that accursed planet of Skokushu, she was mostly just checking up on any ships leaving the area, her small ship that she had simple called an LSF Defender floated in space mostly drifting to save her fuel and energy,
Her scanners quickly detected a leaving ship cloaked as well, curious she gently moved the ship towards the almost hazy location of the ship and looked around calmly from her cockpit, she right now wore a simple Blue skintight spacesuit, easily showing her curvy body off as she watched the ship to try and find it staying at medium speed for now a decent speed for a fighter...

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Slimer set off towards his computer's selected path expecting a quick 4 hour journey. Even at 3/4 speed, restricted to maintain the cloak, the journey to the sparsely populated trading planet would be fast. His friend indicated the planet would be mainly deserts, with the three arable highland occupied by three trader families, using the cheap and remote planet, as a remote backdrop for smuggling. Although each of the three embraced, and more importently thrived, off the smuggling trade, only his contact specialized in slave trade.
While slave trade was not outlawed, human cargo had drawn the unforgiving notice of the ADD. Potential traders drew extra scrutiny, while those visiting the sex despots gained assured contact. He had to risk it against better judgement if only to finish his dsmned creation.
ADD were a thorn in his side, and he had no love lost for their mettling, yet little did he know that one had decided to leach onto his movents, putting into wrong a nose that did not belong. His speed reached cruising as he initiated a radar scan, most similar to a naval ping. Hopefully nothing came back and he could take a nap, he hoped ferverently.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Kirsty was carefully trailing Slimer for now, this ship was moving somewhere relatively quietly meaning possible smugglers of slaves that she couldn't allow,
Kirsty's ship began scanning the ship carefully looking at it's engine, weapons, and cargo for anything that would allow her to take action, if not she could still follow the ship incase it leads her somewhere she could report to the higher ups about..

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Slimer set off the ping basically waves that if bounced back would alert him to any objects in the area, harmful or otherwise. As the silent waves went out an unusual pattern appeared on the rear view. Locking the rear camera on the image he began enhancing the magnification. Startled a medium fight came into view on the screen.
Not too worried the ship was still a distance back, and it was entirely possible that his cloaked ship was not the intended target but simply headed in the same direction. He didn't want to be overly paranoid, but lately he seemed to be shot and in need of repairs his last few adventures off of Shokushu.
Deciding his nap could wait he kept the maximum speed his cloak would allow. Setting his ship to cruise towards the destination planet one eye on the trailing vessel as he approached the asteroid belt. His computer course auto corrections through the rock should help him ease his mind.

"Hmm, looks like he's heading for the asteroid belt, classic smuggling attempts," She muttered her scanners still going through his cargo to see if he was carrying any slaves as she flew after him her thrusters slowly increasing speed to keep up with him and close the gap, she knew she had him beat in pure speed, she was a fighter, and his was a transport as she kept her weapons for now offline and continued her scan.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
His ship started manuevering to avoid the asteroids, and the ADD ship continues to draw closer, following as if the cloaking device wasn't even engaged. Slimer swore realizing this wasn't a simple coincidence of routes but that his ship had been discovered and was actually being pursued by the damn agents yet again. Taking no chances he dropped the cloak, going purely on instinct. His transport was designed to move cargo, typically unseen, but when necessary it was still capable of drastic evasion.
Full power to the engines gave his ship plenty of room to start dipping and dodging around the hurtling obstacles, as he gained speed. His only hope at evasion lay in losing the agent and testing thier mettle through the nerve wracking asteroid field, where one mistake would lead to a quick introduction to their creator. His chance would have marginal chances under the best of circumstances, but a cargo vessel would have almost an infinitely tiny chance of out flying a medium fighter.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Kirsty continued chasing after Slimers ship quickly as her fighter stayed the pursuit, keeping as close as she could with the evading ship.
"Alright...need to use something...of yeah this ion gun could work," She said as a small Ion Gun blaster on her ship began charging up slowly gathering blue energy before unleashing a single ball of energy at the ship, if it hit the Ion particle would cause anything electrical to short out

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Strapping in he knew it was about to become a bumpy ride zipping left and right through the varying sizes of deadly asteroids. As large as the belt was, at these speeds he was either going to become an afterthought of the universe, or run out of time to lose her before breaking free.
Startled an alarm went off signaling a weapons lock sensor had hit the vessel. If he was being targeted he knew his luck had just about run out. As a blue glow filled his rear view monitor he slammed the ships control stick straight forward, and a sickening lurch seemed to grab his stomach and yank straight up, as the lumbering ship nose dived and he twisted it left barely avoiding two basketball sized rocks. At these speeds even those heavy ore asteroids could decomssion his ship.

"Heh not bad," She said expertly twisting her controls as her ship spun to a nose dive after him charging the Ion cannon again for another blast.
"Come to Kirsty..." She giggled as she made sure to have a lock this time and fired another burst of Ion Particles at him.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Speeding underneath the large asteroid and sliding sideways between the other two he pulled back and his stomach lurched the other way. The alarm sounded again this time a hard tone as she achieved a solid weapons lock the ion particles hitting his ship as the screens filled with static and went black. The lights flickered and went out as the engines went offline temporarily disabled by the energy surge.
Damn he thought, now what?

Kirsty grins in victory.
"Yes bullseye!" She said and flew her ship towards the ship, "Activating docking sequence," She said calmly as the ship began docking with an airlock on the transport.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Slimer sat there debating on whether to go check on the backup systems which should have come online by now, unaware that that extra energy would take awhile to disipate, and until it did he would be a blind sitting duck. Not sure the ships intentions he wasn't sure if there would be an explosion followed by a vacuum into space, or what to expect.
Deciding her would try the panel controls he fills the backup power on switch a few times, but he remains sitting in the dark.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Kirsty slowly slid her body inside the ship while placing a message in her ship typing in commands for it to begin undocking and returning home on autopilot.
"Tell the others I'm tracking someone," She whispered smiling as she walked into the ship silently moving around from wall to wall while the ship undocked and began leaving...if Slimer saw this from his cockpit it would seem the ship was just leaving.

Re: Not what I was looking for (Kirsty)
Frustrated that the damn switch wouldn't get the backup system started he growled, unbuckling himself from the customized pilot seat. Resigned to heading back and manually starting the system he opens the cockpit door manually, and heads for the back of the cargo area where the access panel was. Even with his sharp night vision, his glowing green eyes couldn't see a thing.
Grabbing a flashlight hanging on the wall just on the otherside of the door he taps it against his palm and then moves towards the back of the ship unaware of the stow-away.
