Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
"I can hardly try anything complex when everyone is making all the effort to hinder my abilities," she replied, her eyes narrowing in annoyance. "I am unsure what you mean about effects on the body. Pushing too hard can lead to damaging myself with some of my magic. Also using too much can drain the body. Push even further and it is possible to kill yourself. As far as I know, there is no direct sexual effect from using my magic beyond some tingling feelings of ectasy after I stop channeling."

The questions quickly turned more sexual in nature. Guess it was all this island was about afterall. "I fail to see the point of your question. We sometimes practice magic on one another. And no, I do not use my abilities to pleasure those creatures. They rape me and make me do those horrible things." Despite this woman admitting to the existance of monsters, it was still a student's word against a staff members. Of course, she had no idea that the person infront of her was a monster as well and therefore was not violating any rules yet.

Dr. Steiner smiled at the student, slightly amused by her remark on whenever any of her last questions had anything to do with magic. It was always so terribly cute when specimen tried to reassert themselves. "Now, you just worry about answering my questions, I'll be the judge of what's relevant and what isn't." She then scribbled away on her clipboard, jotting down what she had heard and making various notes. It was then that silence fell upon between the two of them, the woman not bothering to speak for a time, as if she was too busy with her papers and thoughts alike.

It was only after a good while that Dr. Steiner finally looked up at Kanoe, a smile on her lips as she continued to remain civil toward the student. "I think that's enough questions for the time being. However, I do have a few experiments I would like you to take for me, and please... Do your best with them. I would hate to waste more of your time by forcing you to reveal everything you have, after all. Regardless of what methods I have to use." This, the doctor had the gall to say calmly with such a smug smile on her lips. Because, really, what could the student do here with her mana suppressed completely and against a monster?

It was then that the door opened as a technician, dressed in the usual scientist scrubs and a labcoat along with a mask covering her mouth, stepped into the room, carrying a tray with only a small glass container, one-fourth of a way filled with some unknown substance. In fact, it would have appeared very much like water if it was not for the fact that it did not splash around easily but seemed to have the texture and consistency of syrup. It also held a very sweet taste to it if one were to taste it. Without further words, the technician left the room, the audible click of the door locking behind her apparent. "Also, before we do any of the experiments, I'm going to need you to take this. Since you're cooperating, I might as well use you as a guinea pig for some of my projects in biochemistry. It'll only make you more sensitive to certain things, which should factor in rather nicely for my little project."

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
The scientist really knew how to get on Kanoe's nerves. Any concerns the student had were simply brushed aside as unimportant to the woman's research. The witch was left boiling in her annoyance as the woman across from her continued to write down notes. It at least gave time for Kanoe to simmer down though it was doubtful that the labcoat even noticed the hard looks she earned.

As if her imprisonment and vulnerbility was not enough, the doctor kindly reminded her that hindering the experiment would lead to harsher methods of gathering information. "Save your threats," she replied coldly, "I already said I will do as you say. Its not like I can stop you." The woman was confident that she had the witch under control and was right in all counts. Without her magic, even another human could overpower her. Even if she could fight back, there was still the matter of the locked door.

The witch's eyes flicked up towards the opening door. Dealing with two people while rushing for the door was not in her favor either. A tray was brought before her with a small glass filled with a clear fluid. Her jaw clenched as she glared at the doctor. Adding even more experiments as if this opportunity would only happen once. Well, it was either drink it or have it forced down her throat. Saying nothing, she took the glass and brought it to her lips. The fluid was thick, like she was drinking gel. But the student did what she was told and drank until there was nothing left. It tasted sweet but that was no reassuring. Anti freeze supposedly tastes sweet as well and that is less than good for the body.

Staring at the woman, she crossed her arms again. "What now?" she asked, obviously annoyed about the situation.

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
"I'm pleased that you're so capable at following orders, despite your thinly veiled hostility. I suppose your body is getting accustomed to the monsters' treatment quite well, though given your file, I suspect there's one in particular who has quite an interest in your... Ah, training. Care to comment on that, my little guinea pig?" Dr. Steiner smiled, seemingly as if she was behaving normally even as she was quite condensing to the student. Or rather, it was the attitude of one who did not see another person as a human being, but as a plaything or a pet. However, what the scientist did not do was answer the girl's question, instead ignoring it and waiting in silence now as she allowed the time to creep by.

Still, she had things to do, experiments to see, and a guinea pig to play with. Once ten minutes had gone by without any further word from the scientist, Dr. Steiner finally got out of her seat, leaving her papers and files where they were on the table, bringing only her clipboard and a pencil. The time for sitting and chatting was over. "Let us move on to your first test, guinea pig." The doctor smiled, full of pretentious charm, as she approached the door, which then clicked before swinging wide open. "This way." With only that, the scientist moved down the hallway, past several doors which were all locked as well, around a corner then another corner before stopping at what appeared very much like a blast door, sealed in place.

Before long, the heavy door began sliding up after its seals were released, revealing a large chamber full of various devices and machines, which only made it clear that this was to be her 'testing ground'. Only now did the scientist explain. "What you drank, my dear guinea pig, was an concentrated dose of an addictive substance, one naturally produced by my special project. Apart from making you more receptive to, ah, pleasure, it's supposed to have the added benefit of preventing you from tiring too quickly and... Well, if you get any silly idea about trying to escape, the drug is now making you give off an unique pheromone that will allow my babies to track you down, no matter where you go." Truly, it was effective enough to the point that even Dr. Steiner was having more of a harder time to keep her Harvester body under her control and restrain herself from ravaging the student silly.

Only when the two were inside did the blast door slide back down, sealing itself into place. "Here, you will find that your abilities are no longer being suppressed." Pulling out a remote out of her pocket, the doctor clicked on a button. In response, five holes in the ceilings whirred open, extending out what looked like poles with targets on them, the circular objects no bigger than five inches in radius. "Let us begin with some minor exercises for the time being, yes? I would hate to... push you to your limits so soon."

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
The doctor earned herself some cold stares as she tried to get more information out of the witch. What 'training' Kanoe had was her own business and did not apply to whatever the point of this experiment was. Just as the student gave no further data, neither did the lab coat. For several minutes, the two sat in silence. The witch was less than patient with being left in the dark like this but after a few moments she understood what this woman was doing. This delay was to allow whatever she drank to begin taking effect. So far though, she noticed nothing different since she drank the strange fluid.

Kanoe was not referred to by name but by role as she was called to finally leave the room. She followed behind the woman, eyes taking in the halls and corridors they walked through. As expected, there were no obvious exits to escape through. The witch was unconcious coming here, leaving her with no sense of direction or location. With guards and who knows what other things were here, escape simply was not possible.

The student blinked when they came to the large blast door. As the door unsealed and opened, she was told more about what she drank. The term addictive gave her reason to worry but was not told about the withdrawal symptoms. She was supposedly now more sensitive to the touch while also increasing her stamina. The witch could only assume that her 'babies' were more monsters that would track her down if she tried to escape. It was not like she had anywhere to hide on the island anyway.

Stepping into the room, it sealed them inside. Kanoe would feel her magic returning to her. The mana that was just out of her reach now fully embraced her call and filled her with that warmth and energy she craved. Eyes narrowing at the doctor, she had half a mind to test out her limits on the annoying bitch. But she doubts she could ever blast through the heavy doors to get out. Seeing the targets pop up, she had no other choice but to follow along with the experiment.

Taking a slow breath, the witch had reason to worry about her own powers. Having dealt with the suppressors for years now, she had no idea where her powers were. The risk of backlash could be life threatening. Kanoe started slow, trying to control the wealth of power flooding her body as she chanted the words of magic. Wisps of darkness gathered at her fingertips, swirling and forming into dense black beads at the tips of her fingers. With a swipe of her arm, she flinged the five fast bolts directly at the basic targets.

Jotting away at her clipboard, the doctor showed no signs of being impressed or anything else, instead holding her expression in place as if she was now all business. "Good show of accuracy. Well, I suppose even you have something going for you." The scientist then looked at Kanoe, clearly not planning on backing down from the student even with her level of power. Pressing on her remote, the scientist watched as the ruined targets withdrew from sight, only to have more holes whirring open.

Instead of having targets close together, they were now spread out even more, making it difficult to keep them all within sight at once. And unlike the other targets, they were continually withdrawing and extending, as if to present a moving target instead of a stationary one. "Now, with ten targets, let's see if you can maintain that accuracy. oh, and I'll be measuring how long you take. I would say to try your best but that might be a lost cause, no?"

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
So far so good. The small bolts were strong enough to destroy the targets and the dark witch was not even breathing hard. It was a strange feeling. She did not have to force the spell like she did when the inhibitors were up. This came as naturally as breathing. It felt good, very good. Unfortunately, the doctor did not seem impressed and continued to insult the raven haired beauty. The destroyed targets withdrew only to have ten more come out. Sighing softly, the witch began preparing another spell.

These targets were different by being popup targets like one you would find in a shooting range. They were spread out further too as they came out at random intervals. The dark witch watched them for a moment before forming two large bolts of darkness and spreading them over her fingertips. They may be coming out at random intervals, but that should not be much of an issue for the dark witch. As a target slides out on its pole, Kanoe flinged a bolt at it to destroy it before it fully came out. She repeated this process one after the other, narrowing her required line of vision until there were nothing left but pieces of broken target and even a few broken poles. She did not say anything or look back at the other woman. The witch simply waited, trying not to think about her situation.

"Well, at least you can do that much as well, maybe you're not such a hopeless case. Let's see, you maintained accuracy without any difficulties, and cleared this exercise within acceptable time. I suppose you do have more going for you than just that ridiculously lewd body of yours." The doctor smiled at the student, even as she clicked on the remote again, withdrawing the poles that hadn't been ruined in the student's demonstration of her abilities.

"Let's see, accuracy and control, both within acceptable parameters. Now, let's see if your little tricks have any kick to them." The scientist chuckled as she brought forward a machine, larger than just a target on a pole. It did have a target on it as well, but seemed to be built to withstand damage. A lot of damage, as it were. If anything, it was a way for the student to blow off some stress, as well as an opportunity to imagine that the target was Dr. Steiner herself. "Please go ahead and use your abilities against that target, destroy it if you can. I would like to see how much damage, if any, you can cause to it."

Of course, nothing seemed to impress this scientist and more insults were thrown at her. Lewd body? The doctor was one to talk wearing that overly revealing blouse and with breasts as big as hers. Kanoe smiled faintly as some of the poles could not withdraw as they were far too bent up to fit through the small holes. It was nothing important but it was breaking things in the labs at least.

Her next task involved a large machine that was to be her next target. It was about the size of a person and rather thick. "Hmph.." she huffed as the woman taunted her to see if her little 'tricks' could do any damage to this particular target. Extending her palm out towards the machine, she began to chant the words of magic. Her long raven black hair writhed about her as if being swayed by unseen winds. Wisps of darkness once more gathered into the palm of her hand. They swirled about as they formed a dense black orb of packed in dark mana.

Once prepared, the witch dashed towards the machine. She thrusted the orb directly into the dark. The orb was compact with countless threads of shadow magic and was designed to punch through objects as well as explode in a large concussive force. Usually she could only form small ones that were not very dense. But here, she could go all out and hopefully make an impact on this machine.

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
The scientist watched, seemingly bored, as her guinea pig went through the act of muttering words that she assumed were meant to pass for magical words. She rolled her eyes at the idea of magic, deciding that it was an insult to all forms of scientific progress. Though, the thing with the hair was somewhat disconcerting for the scientist. But if that was what the student wanted to call it, then so be it. She watched as Kanoe moved forward to do as she had been told, striking at the machine designed to measure the strength of her ability.

And was quite taken back as the spell did rather heavy damage to the machine. It was more than capable of handling even shotgun blasts, but this was somehow even worse than she had expected from the student. The target was entirely crumpled in, and the machine seemed to have suffered extensive damage from within, according to the console she was looking at. And the concussive force was far more than she had originally expected it to be. This wasn't something she could just ignore and as she wrote down on her clipboard, she looked up at Kanoe.

Keeping a straight face, the doctor smiled, if a bit reluctantly. "Hmm. Well, I suppose an apology is in order. You've surpassed my expectations on this exercise." Leaving it at just that, she began typing at the terminal beside her, bringing up programs and deciding on which one to start with. Before long, hard light creations flickered into life, appearing as visual monsters. Though, they were unable to harm the witch, they were governed by an A.I program she had come up with, one that stimulated the behavior of monsters.

"I would like to see how you perform against these 'monsters' under a controlled environment, now that you're capable of harming them. They're hard light, so they will be able to push you around, but they aren't programmed to cause damage. Whenever you're ready, please let me know."

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
The orb punched right into the machine, causing the metal chasis to fold inwards. The bolt seemed to have entered the device and detonated, causing the rest of the metal frame to bulge outwards as it managed to containt the massive concussive wave. Kanoe's hair was blown back but soon came to rest behind her shoulders. The witch turned to the doctor, returning to where she was standing before.

For once, she earned real praise and even an apology. Even the scientist had to recognize this as a threat even if she did not believe in magic. The proof of what this unknown force could do if not restained was right there before her. Kanoe took a deep breath, still doing rather well despite casting three spells already. Her fear of backlash was the only thing holding her back now. She did not want to risk breaking an arm or worse just for an experiment that this scientist could not even appreciate.

The flashes of light caught attention as holograms appeared out of thin air. Even though they were not real, Kanoe was apprehensive around the creatures. They looked and moved as if they were real and that was enough to put her on guard. Hearing the task given to her, she had no choice but to comply. A pity they were not real monsters, she would have enjoyed putting them in their place. "Very well," she said softly, "I am ready." Channeling her mana, she prepared herself to deal with the monsters before her.

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
Nodding at the student, the scientist tapped on her terminal a bit more, setting up the combat parameters for the hard-light creations, ensuring that the student would be safe regardless of what happened. She certainly didn't need to risk injuring her guinea pig, after all. Not when the school was quite adamant on keeping students healthy and in excellent conditions. After all, no one wants a slave with a limp, eh? "You may begin then, Miss Shade."

With that, the scientist remained out of the way as she seated herself at the desk, watching as the two monsters began moving toward the student, the green-fleshed one closing in on Kanoe slowly as the dark purple-colored one moved to the side, as if to get behind her, tentacles coming into view as it moved. Both were at least a foot taller than the student, and more built than most men, but they at least retained humanoid characteristics. For starters, though, as the scientist had planned on bringing in various hard-light versions of monsters to test her combat abilities to their limits.

For the most part, however, no matter how many times Kanoe struck them with magic, they would continue to reassemble themselves, as they were entirely made out of hard light. Just because one of them was blown apart, it did not mean they were out of commission just yet, but rather that they would take some time to begin pulling together. If anything, they were sure to keep trying to push the student until she was up against the ropes. And there was the fact that, even as hard light creations, they were still capable of forcing the witch down and raping her, but the scientist had conveniently forgotten to mention that. Though, given the power she had witnessed the student used against the machine, she doubted the monsters would be able to do that as they were on the lowest setting so far.

(Feel free to take control of the monsters, if you'd like. :D)

((Silly, what would be the fun in fighting something i'm controlling? They are all yours XD))

The monsters began closing in on the student. The witch sighed, hating being used like this. Still, she had no real choice besides letting the holograms hit her. Even if they were not real, she did not want to take any chances. Wisps of darkness gathered in both hands as she backed away to keep them infront of her. She had enough trouble dealing with monster and this doctor was starting her off with two.

They were large humanoid creatures so it was at least easier to target limbs and possible weakpoints. Unable to delay any longer, Kanoe dashed for the green monster and blasted it with one of the bolts in her hand. She held the other bolt in her other hand, turning to look at what the other monster was doing and sending a bolt directly at that one. With them being made of light, she had no idea how durable they were against her magic. Already, Kanoe was whispering more words of magic and summoning more darkness to her aid.

(Haha, just wanted to offer you the opportunity, is all. :D )

Dr. Steiner watched as the monsters continue to advance, confident that there was more than enough room for the student to move around in, considering the size of the room she had prepared. If anything, the woman had assumed that with abilities like her, Kanoe would at least find the space helpful once the tests grow more difficult. Well, that said, there would be obstacles later on, naturally. Both to hinder the monsters and the student alike.

After all, they had wanted to learn more about the student's combat ability. As long as they were prepared to give her what she had asked for in return, the scientist would test the student as much as possible. Until then, she would put up with the task of trying to learn where her guinea pig's limits were.

The monster that she had dashed at and struck with a bolt was sent backward by several steps, cracks appearing in the hard light construct in place of actual wounds. Already, the cracks were slowly repairing themselves but the thing appeared to be somewhat disoriented. The other, however, did not take the student's attack head on but instead moved to the side, allowing a tentacle to take the blow for it, the appendage shattering into pieces and becoming a dangling and useless part of the false monster, but it was still moving.

And it was still coming for Kanoe, several tentacles springing into action as they flew out toward the student's body, intending on trapping her in between them.

Post Re: For the Sake of Science [for Kanoe]
The spell crashed dead center into one of the monsters. Though there was no blood, the construct cracked from the force and even showed signs of staggering and daze. Her other spell missed, taking out a tentacle and left the main body unharmed. It was obvious that eventhough they were made of light, their bodies were very solid and durable. Minor spells would do little to no damage.

The monster rushing at her sent forth several tendrils to capture her. The spidery words of magic filled the room as Kanoe forced herself to channel more of her unrestricted powers. With a flick of her wrist, swiping her arm upwards, a rising arc of flame appeared from the metal floor with the intend of incinerating the lashing tentacles.

Her body was pulsing with energy. It felt so good to let go and let her mana fill her body. Kanoe brought both hands infront of her with thumbs and first fingers touching. A swirlf of flame formed in the diamond shaped gap she made with her hands. Her hands glowed a soft red, feeling the heat from her spell rising. Swiping both her arms outwards, she sent forth a wide wave of fire at the monster. She hoped this would heavily wound and or blind the creature as she prepared another bolt of darkness. She rushed up behind the flames, thrusting her palm right into the hologram's stomach.
