Personality: Energetic, enthusiastic and full of spunk (figuratively), Ravyn always tries to look on the bright side of life. She is very friendly and always tries to see the best in other people, and is never shy about making her romantic intentions known (ladies).

When not in her school uniform, Ravyn tends to dress quite conservatively -- jeans, sweaters, etc. However, she does like showing a little skin when she goes swimming. She also has a great fondness for knee socks.

Background: Born into a world of strife and civil war, Ravyn learned how to fend for herself on the streets at a young age after losing her father to a landmine and her mother to a tragic blimp accident. Receiving little formal education in her early years, she taught herself as much as possible from library books, homemade science experiments and hand-whittled geometry supplies.

As a child Ravyn survived by scavenging and doing odd jobs. She refused to ever steal food, even though it was common practice amongst her peers. This put her at a disadvantage on the streets, but it also established strong principles of honesty and virtue that she still tries to uphold.

As Ravyn grew older she was able to earn some basic part time employment, but discrimination against her lack of schooling and street urchin origins limited her options. When she turned 18 tough times forced her to turn to prostitution to supplement her income. Ravyn picked her customers carefully so most men were gentle with her, but the very idea of selling her body disgusted her enough to make having sex with men uncomfortable for her. After a while, she realised that part of that discomfort came from her attraction to other girls.

Ravyn dreamed of receiving a proper education from somewhere other than the school of hard knocks, and once she was able to raise herself up from the streets with her natural skills and intellect she jumped at the chance to attend Shokushu. She learned about the school through a government program for disadvantaged youths -- prospective candidates were tested to determine their abilities, and Ravyn's high test scores led to her being recommended Shokushu. She had never heard of the school, and it almost sounded too good to be true, but she couldn't resist the opportunity to get an education and make a fresh start in a far away place.

First of all, welcome. I remember when I first arrived at the island. I was so full of wonder and hope. Now I fight to gain my freedom from sexual slavery. Memories!



Silly you. The blimp accident occurred well after that. We have the man on the radio saying, "oh the humanity! The helium has NOT caught fire! People are hopping off the blimp and going into the nearby Starbucks."

It was probably something that an observer would not consider major. A gust of wind causes the blimp to shift slightly. The unlucky woman is crushed between the gondola and a stanchion. Everyone chuckles until they notice how severe the injuries are. More than "why", everyone is left asking "how?"
