"Glad you _"

"Sir, sir," the disembodied voice coming from a communicator, Kain grumbled then snatched it from the might stand where it rested.

"What is it?"

"We were just pulled out of hyperspace, two enemy ships, Cracken Class and a single Indicator ship in the rear of their formation."

Kain growled, shifting her aside as he grabbed at his discarded clothing from the night before. "I'll be right there."

Kirsty sighed and shook herself a little, "I'll try a quick wash, you go to the bridge Captain," She said to Kain with a smile, "My suit will be uncomfy if I'm sweaty," She said rushing into the bathroom for a quick washing off and making sure she was cleaned of any sweat.

While she was in the bathroom the ship was rocked just a little as a tremor ripped through it, then another but the shields of the ship were still holding fairly well she guessed. She had been unaware of what was going on though until she had finished and went to the bridge where Kain was busy standing on the bridge watching things unfold as he barked orders.

One ship, the Indicator vessel she guessed, was alrady smoldering in a few places, the airless vacuum of space snuffing those flames quickly though it seemed as if Kain was concentrating his fire power it while the pair of Cracken classed ships opened up on him, he exposing himself to get at the smaller vessel.

Kirsty watched this all washed dried and dressed up from a corner holding onto a railing just incase as the ship rocked a little.

It appeared that Kain was concentrating his fire on the Interdiction vessel, the only reason they were stuck here for the time being, which gave rise to the fact that the other vessel must have gotten off a distress signal and other vessels futher out were contacted.

It was the only thing that made sense as to how these vessels got in front of them, the initial ship must have reported their trajectory too so that this ambush could be set up. Kain didn't mind taking a few shots from the other ships to disable the Interciction vessel though and the extra thickness to the hull made it less of an issue when the ship was actually hit but the fighting continued for a few moments, the ship actually lurching when it was struck by torpedoes.

"Interdiction field down ..."

"Punch it!"

And with that the ship jumped to light speed, the stars becoming streaks of white.

Kirsty held onto a railing as the ship lurched from the hits as the ship that kept them from hyperjumping was taken out and they fled as she sighed and stood straight.

"That was a close call," She said.

"Yes, I'd say that this particular cargo is quite valueable to them if they brought three ships to bare against us. If the Indirection ships didn't have a few design flaws that could be exploited the pair of Craken's might have been able to disable us but they were flawed in that they were relying on it to stop us as without it there would be nothing keeping us in place where we'd have to fight."

Kirsty nodded, "Well I'm glad to see things are okay for now," Kirsty said softly as she walked over glancing around calmly.

"Wonder if they'll try again with something worse..." She whispered.

"I doubt that, their formation was too lax indicating that they threw things together in a rush, the Indicator vessel was not screened from attacks to well so I doubt we'd have anything further to worry about. We're close to our destination so the chances of encountering any other difficulties isn't too great." Even as he said that his gaze flickered to the view screen as if expecting trouble but of course there was none there.

Soon enough they were setting back on the planet they only departed a few hours ago.

Kirsty stretched her arms as she saw them back on the planet safe and sound for now, "Well..that was an interesting time," She jokes smiling at Kain.

"Very, but we got the goods and finding this place is a bit tricky too, still I'm eering on caution and keeping it guarded until we can unload it. They'll get their "cargo" back once we get paid for it. Right now I need to get fighters organized to run standard patrols just incase they show up onexpectadly so we have a deal of forewarning, their are a few stellites that act as sensors but they haven't been too reliable."

"Alright then...well I'm gonna go for a little walk kay, just incase any trouble's around the town already, never know if undercover agents from some groups are around," She said walking away.

Kain nodded at that as they split up and went their separate ways for the time being. While back at the docks she could see the aliens amongst the pirates that had been too slow to assemble for the latest mission or at least she assumed they were a portion of the group.

She even saw a krommite amongst them, larger then most with four pistols in holsters milling around the pirates or perhaps he was a pirate. And the blue skinned alien she had seen earlier the other day that she ran across in the bar.

Kirsty calmly walked away casually through the streets looking at anyone around curious about what to find in this city since she only arrived to find Kain.

There were no shortages to odd ball types, the blue skinned pirate only stood out because she met him before and the krommite seemed out of place. There were no other krommites here, though he or it, she could not tell, fit the part of being a tough looking sort. It was larger than most crommites too, probably some sort of warrior caste.

It appeared as if Kain would be busy or a little while which gave her some time to plan out her next move as far as her assignment went.
