Background:
She was born in Tokyo, Japan to a loving family. Wasn't too wealthy, the family wasn't, nor did they have as what everyone else would have in terms of technologies built for entertainment. No television or computers. Only a radio to catch up with the latest news and listen to songs, from the Western world. It was quiet and peaceful. Father worked as a grocery store clerk, standing at the cash register and Mother worked at home, in a small local bakery business of their own, known to the neighbors as "Furukawa's Breads". When they had the chance and the money, they moved and immigrated to the United States- to a small suburb near Seattle when she was three years old. She liked it. Enjoyed it, as she wasn't necessarily picked on in kindergarten either. She was happy with her life in America for the time being. And so was her family.
Although, like everything in life. Even the good things must come to an end and so life had decided that it'd change dramatically for the worse when her mother was killed in a car accident. A man was drunk behind the wheel of a transport truck, slammed into her car, as she was coming home from work, one such fateful evening. She was devastated immensely. But what may seem bad was, not as such, as her father was. Her father slowly succumbed to a deep depression. She though was looked after, as he put most of his attention to looking after her, making sure she was happy. He succumbed to alcoholism and gambling, from the depression, and in turn, began to act weird. From what she seen, as she hit the age of ten, it was often he'd seem that he'd forget who she was at times. She forgot all the things he's done for her. That he bought her toys, and would feed her and clothe her. She forgot that he would work seemingly non-stop for her well-being and in turn she began to hate him for his alcoholism and gambling addictions. It would be said her father would get drunk at the local taverns and pick fights with people in the alley ways. He'd come home bruised, which worried her about him, as she feared he'd be killed on of these days.
She got through middle school and junior high school, fairly easily. Not too many problems. Though it was High School that became another weight of discomfort on her shoulders, as it was then that she discovered the despicable act of bullying as a victim of such discomforting behaviors from individuals there. She would often sit in the corner during lunch times. Sit in the corner of a hall way or a stairwell to eat her lunches. If she had lunches that day. Somedays she'd go hungry, with no meal at all. Her grades dropped dramatically and was noticed by the teachers. They got involved and sent the Children's Aid Society to check on her living space to find what it being at home looked like only to find her father, passed out in his bed with a broken vodka bottle in his hand. Appalled by the sudden discovery of her father, she was immediately placed into the care of a foster home and her father was put into rehabilitation. The family she was put into wasn't loving or caring. They just saw her as a break from house work, as she was constantly placed to do chores, cleaning, cooking- doing the dishes, vacuuming the carpets, cleaning the tiles and wood flooring. After only a few months, she had moved out of her new home. Sorry, her new living space, as she was fed up of being an underaged house slave for ungrateful people, only to realize she was ungrateful to her father who tried his best to look out for her. She broke down, suddenly, as she walked the streets of Seattle. Slowly gathering her thoughts up, she figured she might as well apologize to him and then supposed that she could set out and live on her own at the age of seventeen. She graduated and moved out, moving into a small one room apartment downtown Seattle where she got a small job, working as a waitress in a pub.
She hated that job. Loud drunk business people boasting over sales or stocks or deals they had during the course of the day, or complaining of meetings. Often the occasional College students would come in. A loud bunch of people bent on getting waisted on a Saturday Night and watch a game of football. Cheering for their team and jeering for the other team. She hated every moment of it. Sometimes teens came in on dates. Sometimes people would come in, trying to hook someone up with someone else. Typical scene in any bar or pub within a major city. Drunkards, college students, teenagers, blind dating, online date meet ups... She felt she needed a better job. She kept her job as a waitress only for a year, when she decided herself to go to college and at least up her education since graduating High School. She soon found it. Shokushu... It seemed an interesting place, though why did they call it that? Never mind that... Hopefully it'll be the break she's always wanted. She sent in her application and waited. It was eight months by the time she was heard back from as she was finally accepted. She was excited and a few days she left for "SHS" she went to see her dad who was in rehabilitation. She then found he too was in a car accident. He wasn't killed, though. He suffered from amnesia and forgot about her completely. She was bothered, though, as she still told him the news as he questioned who she was in the first place. The next day she was on her way to SHS.
Psychological Profile: Slight depression, not entirely visible, as she keeps it inside. She though, despite the depression is viewed as a strong minded individual as she'd always, never succumb to peer pressure or the social norms brought on by pop culture, where she had to be this, be that, wear this, or wear that in order to fit in. Nor did she succumb to the disgusting and often unforgiving habits of drinking, smoking, sniffing, injecting, or whatever falls under the lines of 'drugs and alcohol'.
Personality: She is a shy person, not entirely being able to make friends as easily as she once was able to. She usually keeps to herself most of the time. There is though, the possibility of her opening up to people a few hours after getting to know them. Or rather, a few moments of a strange, awkward silence, which includes the occasional looking at the other person, though trying to avoid eye contact. Anyways, back to her personality. She though often talks to herself out loud, often random stuff, but at times would also ask questions to no one, but herself some times about her life, as why did it happen the way it did.
