Post Re: The Haunting (for Delia)
Cautiously she moved toward the ruins discovering that they were a few buildings at least a hundred years old given the remenants. There were no signs of disaster in the way of gun shots or fire that she could se though it was mostly portions of walls that she was seeing. Among the ruins was a single structure, a cathedral she thought, though the stained glassed windows had long since shattered and there was now a hole in the western wall and no front doors from what she could tell.

It was the only real structure in the ruins at least the one that appeared to be most intact at this stage.

Delia seeing no sign of danger was now going back to a curious mindset slowly as she glanced left and right carefully narrowed eyes as she saw the Cathedral the most together building and approached it from the hole it had and entered inside glancing around while walking over some of the rubble piles as she looked left and right inside the building and even looked upward to see if anything was on the ceiling.

Post Re: The Haunting (for Delia)
There were pews here but weather and age did a number on them. Looking around she noticed that instead of a pulpit there was a stone dias instead. Inspecting it it seemed rather straight forward, the only thing unusual about it was the triangular shaped hole a few inches in depth that rested atop the thing.

The ceiling here was collapsed in some places and exposed to the elements. On the eastern wall was a tattered tapestry secured to the wall denouncing a group of humans worshipping some strange octopi, the main human clutching a triangular shaped object to his chest ...

No, wait, as her eyes focused on that shape she realized that the colors for the object was off. While the rest of the tapestry was faded the color for the trianglar thing was sold and unbroken as if someone touched up that particular spot.

Delia blinked her eyes as she walked forward towards the dias seeing the triangle shaped indent on it as she trailed a finger along it curiously while she turned her head to see the tapestry and narrowed her eyes as she read up on it curious and more curious for the poor girl as she kept stroking the triangle shaped marking on the dias not knowing what it would do as she was showing her curious mind now, as she looked around again still in her tight clothing as she glanced around one more time for any dangers while stroking the triangle shape.

Post Re: The Haunting (for Delia)
There was a stillness in the night outside but no danger here as she absent mindly stroked the hole with a finger. It was only when there was a gust of wind that came into the cathedral from that hole in the wall, blasting the tapestry opposite of it that she could hear it rattle a little.

Despite the passage of time it was still secured though the sound had gathered her attention in the absence of all else. She noticed that the painted triangle expanded and contracted, and that what she thought was part of the tapestry was infact something else entirely. A portion of the tapestry had been removed where this object was and while stationary the tapestry and object appeared to be one and the same but moving as it was now she could tell that they were two separate things, someone's attempt to hid something in plain sight it seemed.

Delia noticed as a gust of wind exposed the object and smiled as she approached the Tapestry and gently began to wiggle the device out of it's position and held it in her hands marvelling at it's beauty.

"Wow...beautiful," She said softly as she stroked the object and headed back to the Dias seeing it had the same shaped indent ontop making her wonder if it was suppose to go in as she looked at both with curious eyes.

The object was a pyramid of some sort with green runes on each facing though she could not recognize these. Heading back to the dias she noted that the thing would not fit at least not right side up, though the top of it should if it were turned upside down. When she neared it though the runes etched on the device began emitting a soft green glow.

Delia noticed that the object didn't fit with the point facing the ceiling as she blinked seeing it glow as she looked at it and seeing the hole on the dias smiled as she nodded and turning it upside down so the point faced down as she pushed the Object into the Dias curiously wondering what was going to happen the girls curious mind getting her into trouble...again as she still wore the necklace the elder gave her as she glanced around.

Upon inserting the tip of the pyramid into the hole and locking it into place with a slight push Delia noticed several things. The necklace began emitting a greenish glow similar to the ruins, but more noticeable was the shaking, an earth quake? There was a flash of blinding green light near her location then the shaking stopped as quickly as it decended.

It took a moment for her vision to clear though as it was she felt something wind about her waist and coil about her wrists holding the two together like powerful strands of rope.

Quite annoying ... I had believed I got all of these ... A voice eechoed inside her own mind as her vision cleared to see a large mauve creature similar to the one on the tapestry.

Delia gasped as the necklace glowed Green as she covered her eyes with her arms as she felt something wrap around both her wrists tying them together and also one around her waist as she slowly regained vision and widened her eyes at the sight of the creature that was on the Tapestry, "Y-you're...that being on the Tapestry.." She whispered looking at him as she shivered as his tentacle around her waist was feeling her soft bare skin as she only had a tight shirt that showed her midriff and her almost tight bike short under her flimsy long skirt.

Had he had been any other creature he may have asked what she meant but it was easy plucking memories from her mind, which he did now to orientate himself better. He was blind as to the situation and got some answers from her own mind. Still Aegir could not help but flicker his gaze to the tapestry.

No ... same species.

The tapestry referred to another outcast that he had learned about, one that had humans worship her as a deity but she grew careless and the others eventually caught up with her. Still his milky white eyes fled to the tapestry to have a look for himself, his mouth tendrils twitching, then he glanced back at her.

Why have you summoned me? But seeing into her mind he already had his answers. More importantly he was scanning her memories, searching for his current location.

Delia felt his thoughts in her head realising he only talked in mental words as she looked at him a little scared as her memories of today and back at the school came flooding in again.

"I...didn't mean to summon you, I was just trying to get away from some wild men who lived in the nearby forest when I got here...and Curiosity got to me as I found the object and attempted to put it on the Dias...but I didn't think the Necklace would react too," She said as the Necklace around her neck as she looked at him.

Post Re: The Haunting (for Delia)
He studied her for a moment with unblinking eyes as if he were searching out the truth in her mind. He was intrigued that she had been a student on the island in the past, what were the odds? Last time he had been summoned accidentally by an ADD agent. Small galaxy, he thought as a tentacle coiled over the pyramid plucking it out of the stone it rested in.

At the same time the green glow on the necklace stopped though he seized that with a tentacle to lift it up enough to look at. He may have inquired about it too though the advantages of being a telepath were knowing the answers you sought for the most part. Of course he could tell she knew nothing of this, and the village head probably didn't know either. It was a simple charm, given to the high priest ages ago by their deity a mark of favoritism among the "slaves". He regarded this for a moment then withdrew his tentacles from around her wrists and waist. He was slow, yes, but he had other methods of detaining her should she decide to run. Besides he know the second she considered it and take steps to act then.

Man ... I doubt there is more than one, a hermit I believe or else the villagers may have had more information about them. A hermit, or perhaps a family.

Delia watched as the creature removed the device from the dias and also examined her necklace given to her by the elder as she looked at him more calm now that her body was freed as she looked at him curiously.

"Maybe...the Elder gave me the necklace as a sort of thank you, I was asked to explore the woods and see if it was safe to pass through since the villages usual route has bandit problems, I only wanted to help them," She said which was true while her memories showed she was a mercenary, she would work for bare minimum pay if it meant helping people out.

He gazed at the pyramid in his grasp for a bit then returned his sight upon her, analyzing what he wished to do here when she mentioned the elder at the village. He had no reason to doubt her and there were few beings capable of hiding things from him. Most sentient individuals were vulnerably to his mind reading abilities and humans for him became an easy read long ago.

Perhaps. Still, I will keep this. The necklace is of no consequence to me. But you interupted me while I was hunting, most annoying to be plucked out of your reality one moment and thrust into another so, what to do about that precisely ...

He studied her for a moment, his eyes flickering over here as he took her in, tentacles slithering around her on the floor as he stared at her for a moment longer.
