"Roger, this is Vega One. Making our approach. Landing zone appears clear..." The voice filled the cockpit, the young, feminine inflection making it sound more like a college student than a warrior. "Roger, permission granted to search and detain. Less-than-lethal force preferred but take care of yourselves." Came the reply from the radio, the static already building and making it difficult to make out as they passed through the atmosphere. "Roger." Sinead confirmed, putting the ship on autopilot and walking back to meet with her team.

Most of them seemed nervous... about a mission that would probably lead to finding a deserted ship or building and a discarded tracking beacon. That's how these things seemed to go most of the time. "Ok... I know this is a first assignment for some of you, and you all know this is a first command for me. That doesn't change anything. We're just a team out here. Any luck, we find our captured agent and go home. More than likely... they've been missing two weeks... their ship was obviously destroyed by pirates..." She paused. "More than likely we're chasing some black market merchant that accidentally bought a tracer. Just like the last two times." She admits, getting a nervous laugh from the agents. The four other women began to ready themselves as Sinead's ship warned them it was touching down.

The redhead joined them, already in her own outfit... her usual leather collar about her neck. A latex jacket, black with orange stripes that matched her hair down each half arm, ending well before the elbow where her gauntlets took over. The zipper was pulled halfway down, revealing an orange sport bra before the jacket swelled over her young chest and ended, baring her midriff completely. Her tight latex pants were belted just below her hips, matching her top with an orange stripe down the outside of either leg, and ending in large but flexible combat boots made for maneuverability. Unlike most of her fellow agents, she was carrying only her revolver on her hip instead of a rifle, preferring to rely on her diplomatic and martial skills over firearms.

"Right... atmosphere is hospitable if not a little warm, so if you get dehydrated, drink some water." She warned. "Going to be splitting up to cover more ground. You three..." She said, pairing Julia with the two most inexperienced agents, "...will cover west, I'll take east with Rose." She said, pulling the last woman onto her "Team".

There was no more time for questions before the ship landed and the back door opened. Moving with a purpose, the group set out on what appeared to be a former marketplace, the town having been half buried by the desert planet's sandstorms. There were still numerous tall buildings about though, suggesting probable life.

The sun was blazing down upon the hot sands of the planet. Though the atmosphere was breathable, it was barely habitable for the little life that still remained on this dust bowl. Lakes and rivers had long since dried up and gradually the desert spread over the planet's surface until there was little left. Most that remained on the planet moved underground or moved about the surface as nomadic tribes. Water was worth more than gold here and people came to this planet to avoid any troublesome laws that hindered their business on other planets. The planet was lawless and nearly forgotten by others in the galaxy.

For some people though, it was the perfect place to test out new experiments and technology as well as perform shady transactions. Vespira had landed nearby a buried city several hours earlier. Her voluptuous form glistened with a brilliant aura as the sun's rays reflected off her scales. Escorting her was a small group of large saurian creatures. The creatures were not particularly bright but they made up for that with physical prowess and a hunter's instinct. The Gorgonian slithered across the hot sands with no sign of discomfort of the arid environment as she made her way to one of the taller buildings.

Inside were several crates of supplies and weapons along with the owners of such goods. The traders were humanoid but with four legs rather than two. Their forms were made up of lean muscles covered with smooth and shiny grey skin with not a hair on their bodies. Their pure black eyes regarded Vespira warily as they continued to lay out their goods to do business. They were arms dealers though these particular dealers designed weapons for capture rather than killing, perfect for any slaver wishing to collect their own merchandise.

The weapons ranged from close range gloves and rods that delivered a stunning shock on contact to longer range weapons such as tranq darts, nets, and some higher tech energy weapons. But, Vespira needed to see these weapons in action if she were going to make a purchase. She needed to know how quickly these weapons effected her prey and she knew just how to test it. Setting a beacon up, she ordered the others to get ready for their future guest.

When the agents arrive, the markeplace would seem dead. That was nothing out of the ordinary telling the place was engulfed in sand. But, the beacon was still active. Who activated it and how did it get over here? As the agents patrolled and searched, lizardmen remained buried in the sand, waiting for their opportunity to strike.

The young mission commander darted from building to building, switching cover with her partner as they watched each other and searched. So far they had seen nothing that lived, but deep within one of the buildings, where the winds didn't constantly resift the sand, there were footprints that seemed recent. She flicked her visor over her right eye, the heads up display syncing with Julia's on the other team. "Team two, still reading that beacon? We've got some evidence of recent activity but no life, over." She whispered, getting a feed from Julia's visor after a few seconds.

"Roger Sin... Commander. Still reading, think we're getting closer. Suggest you flank our position in case of resistance... we're coming up on what seems like a market, though it's deserted as far as I can tell. Impossible to use heat vision due to the atmospheric interference." Julia responded.

"Roger that... moving to cover... about three minutes to reach your position, over." She said softly, jerking her thumb at Rose and falling back to the west.

Meanwhile, Julia's less experienced team began to press into the marketplace before Julia knew what was happening. The blonde team captain sighed, hissing at them to get back to position and wait. The young agent wiped sweat from her brow... hating the planet already. "Captain, the beacon is coming from over here! We can just go get it... there's nobody in here." Agent Regan called. "And what makes you so sure we're alone Erica? You and Jen get back over here and wait already!" Julia called back, keeping her phase assault rifle up and scanning the abandoned, sand infested stalls as she switched her rifle from safe to stun.

The arms dealers had moved their goods to a building further away from the beacon's position before taking position in the taller buildings. From there, they would be able to see over the marketplace as the agents warily moved closer. Armed with rifles, dart guns, and other long range weapons, the crew was more than ready to provide support for the saurians hiding in the sand. Vespira was inside another building, looking through a broken window so she could see just how these goods performed in a combat situation. Flicking her forked tongue briefly, the Gorgonian smiled at what the beacon had brought to her. Captured and brainwashed agents were always so helpful in showing her the various ADD technology they bring when performing missions against her. That beacon was just one of those wonderful gifts.

The ADD agents were being careful, keeping coms up amongst the two squads as they explored and searched for any signs of life. Unfortunately while Vespira was very patient, her escort was not. A lump in the sand suddenly burst forth, revealing the large lizardman. It swung at a nearby agent with a long metallic baton. The rod would make contact with the agent's suit and suddenly the woman would jolt as if shocked. The stun rod was specifically designed with a human's nervous system in mind. While the metal rod itself could hurt as a blunt weapon, the real power behind the weapon was the sudden impulse of information sent directly into the woman's brain. The agent's vision would flash black and white as if just taking a heavy blow to the head, effectively stunning and numbing the body for around one to five minutes.

Vespira hissed her displeasure at her minion's lack of patience. The alarm and commotion this caused would make the others think it was time to strike as more saurian creatures burst form from the sands and proceed to attack the two squads in two different areas.

Julia watched helplessly as the large, saurian creature erupted in front of Erica, making it impossible to shoot around her. Even if she were able, the monster was upon her instantly, striking her with some sort of baton and sending her to the ground. Julia opened up, her rifle firing a pair of stun blasts designed to work as tranquilizers as the impatient lizardman, one striking him and leaving him to quiver alongside her own agent. Before either agent could react further, however, numerous other aliens began to erupt from the sand and stalls. "Ambush! Fall back to me!" Julia screamed to Jen, the more inexperienced agent turning and fleeing towards her captain without a second thought but leaving her back open to attack. Julia tried to keep cover up on Jen and even Erica's quivering form while falling back to another stall. She brought up her communications during the fight, trying to hail her commander.

"Commander this is team... damnit Sinead get over here! They were waiting for us! Heck I don't even know who THEY are!" She screams.

Sinead had her own problems, however, as more of the lizardmen began to charge out of the buildings and rise from the sand around them. She drew her revolver and fired in warning at the nearest one, trying to buy time for Rose to regroup on her. The less experienced agent was taking her time about it, however, firing her own rifle set to stun at the lizardmen even as they flanked her. "Rose fall back! You're going to get overwhelmed!" She said, accessing her communications as the other team radioed her.

"I copy, we're in trouble ourselves... fall back to the ship if able, if not, we'll attempt to regroup on you." She said, her chest heaving in the tight latex as adrenaline filled her.

Erica could only groan as her head rolled slowly from side to side in a complete daze. She knew the danger but her body simply would not obey her as all hell broke loose around the squad. The attacking lizardmen hissed angerly from being shot, stumbling over as it too was temporarily stunned. With its scales absorbing most of the impact, it was a temporary measure of stopping the creature.

More lizardmen rushed the two remaining agents, mostly focusing on the fleeing Jen. Having sprung the trap sooner than planned, the creatures had to rely on their speed to cover the lost ground. One of the alien's threw an orb at Jen that burst open into a net upon contact, wrapping around the helpless agent. The net was soaked with muscle relaxants and chloroform, soaking into the woman's bare skin as well as producing fumes for her to inhale and further sap her strength to fight back. The rest of the ambush group would rush at Julia to try and capture her as well.

Sinead's group was a bit safer as they were not in the marketplace yet. But that was saying little as her group was just her and Rose. The stun shots would soak into the lizard's scales, making it his and stumble back only for another pair to rush past him. The revolver blew a nice hole in one of the alien creatures making it cought blood though still push forward in a rage. Vespira watched, pleased that things were going smoothly enough but not happy that the items in questioned were not tested as thoroughly as she wanted. That will teach her to bring a primitive species to perform a basic task. But it did prove that her precious guards were at least capable of performing their duties in battle. Picking up a communicator, she contacted the traders and informed them reposition just incase any agents manage to escape. Vespira would then make her way downstairs to see how things are faring personally.

Julia screamed in frustration as she watched the net expand over Erica, taking her down and apparently paralyzing her, for the agent struggled for a few moments and then seemed to calm, perhaps being knocked unconscious. In desperation she flipped the selection switch on her rifle to lethal force and continued to fall back, alternating between sprinting for new cover and firing off suppression fire... not even trying to defend her fallen comrades anymore, just trying to reach Sinead's group. "Sinead... please... it's just me. I need help." She panted into the communicator, her standard flightsuit heaving across her chest as her heart raced.

The commander had stopped holding back, now aiming each shot at one of the saurians, trying to hit them in their chest or heads. "Forget stun rounds, protect yourself!" She called to Rose, who had finally taken orders and was now working with Sinead to cover each other as they fell back. They were quickly making it to the ship, working with surprising teamwork and strategy. Both managed to avoid the lizardmen, keeping them at bay with gunfire, though Sinead had to stop and reload her six-shot revolver every few moments, slowing them both down. "Not going to make it to the ship before I run out of ammo!" She called over to Rose, pointing towards a nearby building... a small one with narrow corridor and offshoot rooms that looked almost like a seedy motel before the sand had claimed it. "In here!" She called, leading her subordinate in with her. Rose reloaded as they caught their breath... ducking into one of the side rooms. "I'll try to engage in melee while you hold the others off... pick them off if we can. Watch out for Julia, I'm going to lead her here." She says, flicking open her communicator again.

"Diverting into a small building... activating my own beacon. Fall back to here as soon as you can and announce your presence, we're going to cover the door." She said, gasping for breath but trying to sound confident.

The lethal rounds gave the enemy some pause as even their scaly hide could only take so much. The remaining agents fled, trying to get away from the rapidly pursuing lizardmen. A few of the alien creatures held back, turning their attention to the two fallen agents. They were quickly disarmed and carried off in another direction, isolating the remaining agent as she tried to find a place to hide. The saurians would search for Julia, their tongues flicking out to try and catch her scent.

Over at the hotel, lizardmen had gathered near the door but would not enter. Any attempts to enter would just earn them lead in their chest and belly. They hissed in annoyance but none would push into the narrow halls. Vespira would arrive shortly, eyes narrowing at the dead lizardmen and the number of wounded. Perhaps she judged too soon. A rather poor outcome against a few human agents. Still though, the items in question seemed to work rather well if put in the right hands.

One of the four legged aliens approached Vespira, holding out two devices. Both would release a potent gas that could be inhaled or soaked through the skin but each had their own effect. One was similar to the net, designed to incapacitate while the other had a much more enjoyable effect. Having lost a guard over this mess, the decision was easy. Taking a device, she passed it on to one of her saurian guards who then moved to the side of the entrance. It activated it and waited a few seconds before throwing it down the long hallway. A thick mist would pour out from the device revealing that it was a type of gas grenade. Depending on how far the two humans fled and where they hid might buy them some time before it begins to pour into their room. If the fumes are inhaled or make contact with their skin, their bodies would start to feel hot as their skin begins to tingle from the highly potent aphrodisics being released. Vespira would only have to wait for the results now.

The lone agent had managed to find a hiding spot, though the unmistakable serpentine sound of the lizardmen tasting the air and searching for her told her they were close and that she wouldn't stay safe much longer. Logic told her to do the intelligent thing and run, but she didn't feel right leaving the rookies to be captured. The agent reached to her belt, retrieving a flash bang and hoping that such a thing worked on Saurians, for she couldn't recall. The blonde girl pulled the pin and tossed it from behind her cover, plugging her ears and praying...

Across the ghost town, Rose was covering the hallway while Sinead tried to make contact with anyone off world, relaying her signal through her ship in desperation. "Mayday... this is Agent Connolly, my team has been ambushed and we're losing people. We need immediate backup and rescue, over!" She said, though received only static in response. They were too far out. Even if by some miracle someone even heard her, it would probably take half a day to reach them at this point, and she didn't think they were going to last that long.

There was a soft *clink clink* noise as something began to come down the hall, prompting Rose to swing out and steady her aim... though she saw nothing at first, only just catching the metallic glint of the canister. It burst open and began releasing a thick white cloud. "Gas Commander..." She said, biting her lip. Cursing, Sinead pulled her revolver out, loading it with the last 4 bullets she had, and motioning her Rose deeper into the hotel. "Go... try to find a way out and get back to the ship with Julia. I'll cover you." She says softly. The agent hesitated for a moment before nodding. Both women ducked into the hall, keeping low... Sinead simply moving back from room to room to try and stay ahead of the gas and place herself between Rose and any incoming fire, while Rose made a dash for the end of the hall, apparently reaching a stairwell rather than an exit. She began to climb up in the hopes of finding a window on the second floor.

Sinead, meanwhile, had fired off two of her four bullets at what she was pretty sure were shapes moving through the cloud. The gas itself had reached her, though, and in place of tears or sleeping gas, she began to feel... warm. Her clothing seemed tighter as blood rushed through her body, getting an involuntary gasp of surprise from her. "What kind of sick..." She muttered, her aim growing twitchy as it became hard to focus past the unwanted arousal.

It would only be a matter of time before the aliens caught Julia's scent. With them so close to her position, fleeing would not get the agent very far. The flashbang flew out and soon the loud bang ringed through everyone's ears along with the bright flash of light. Saurian's hissed angerly, their claws raking against the nearby walls as they tried to clear their vision.

Bullets flew out of the opening of the building, causing the lizardmen to retreat once more. Vespira could only sigh in annoyance. "Do not go through the gass you idiots... Go around," she ordered. Her guards would look at each other and the building before leaping up to one of the second floor windows to climb through. They would then dash down the halls to find the stairs down to the first floor. Vespira would wait with her arms crossed with the arms dealers as she waited for the agents to either run out or be captured. With the shots fired, she knew at least one of the agents is currently in the cloud. Every breath taken would further stimulate the human's frustrated body. Her skin would tingle as more of the fog gathered and absorbed through her skin. It would be only a matter of time before the agent was hers.

Rose had reached the second floor about the time she heard things scurrying down its hall towards her. Big things. These didn't appear to be the lizard men from before but more like... centaurs, only more human than horse. Muttering a curse she fired off a pair of shots intended to scare them into cover... or take one out if she was lucky... while she did the same, ramming her shoulder into an open door and bursting into another empty motel room.

Below, Sinead's vision was beginning to blur... not as if she were going to pass out, but in a way that left her in a stupor... her strong will fighting against the fuzziness that desperately wanted to take hold of her mind.
