Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia thought about these powers wondering which ones Oberron still were able to achieve. Alynia also breifly wondered if she was being hoodwinked as they spoke. She decided that wasn't possible. If it was so easy to woo in her the first place she decided he wouldn't have gone through all the trouble to help her, even now.
"I wouldn't go as far as to refer to him as my beau." Alynia stammered then sighed as she found herself doing the exact thing she told herself not to do. "But if there was any way to rescue him...without harming or greatly risking yourself of course" she added quickly. "I would plead you to attempt it." She bowed her head humbly.
"I really wish I was more capable in my own right. It doesn't sit right with me that I ask so much of you, and all I have to repay you is my body. I barely think that's enough for all that you've done. I'm sorry for being rather unavailing." Alynia finished quietly

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"Alright then, associate. Getting him, and I deduce his sister, out of here should be simple enough. Besides the distraction could benefit us in that Sable's attention might be diverted. Still I wouldn't want it to back fire and she puts more guards on the other prisoners or you for that matter so I'll wait to do it at the 11th hour so that Sable has little choice in any counter measures rather than given her a day plus in which to concoct and scheme.
"Really it is of no trouble. Now getting you out of here would be since your better guarded. Well, it's more the staying out part we'd have to worry about more with you. And believe me, what you have to offer in return is greater than even you imagine though I can't get into too many details about it."
He ushered her along until they came to a door leading to another tower at the opposite side of the castle. He opened the door and had a peek inside first, glancing up the stairs then back to her. "My home away from home you can say. I must profess a lot of my remaining power has been kept to maintain things here, a small matter I might add since it was one of the basic abilities I was born with. Of course the rest of the castle drains me greater than this sanctuary as Sable doesn't wish to take any unnecessary changes but I should point out that this is no big thing, yet it is big at the same time since I can still effect the entirity of the room the way I have."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia glanced at him with an appreicative smile before turning to walk up the stairs. "Yes" She agreed. "That would be for the best." Alynia stated trying to cast away her own guilt. The more favors he did for her, it only reminded her of how much more she owed him. Alynia was glad with the decision she made earlier to marry him, it felt right to try to pay him back one way or another. She hoped it made him happy.
"What is there to maintain up here?" She wondered with cuiosity standing next to the door which she assumed led to Oberron's room. Alynia noted to herself that despite being a king he was also prisoner of Sable's. She wondered if in the beginning Sable had also left him naught but a bare empty room. "If here drains you less than other parts of the castle we should have come here earlier." She mused concerned with his energy. She sighed. "Never mind that now. Is there something here you would like to show me?"

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"Well I should say I feel more at ease here, magic comes easier here, albeit I still have plenty of trouble with it but greater success here ... you'll see. Now close your eyes."
He waited for her to comply before she heard the door open with a creak from one of the hinges. He had simply nodded in compliance to her agreement about the prisoners earlier. No sense in taking chances when you didn't have too.
He took her by the hand, lead her forward and she heard the door creak to a close behind her. The ground beneath her feet felt softer than stone, uneven at that, and Oberron lead her on for a minute or so before addressing her.
"Ok, you may open them now."
The sights were unreal of course though it appeared as if they were outside in a glade. Their was no walls, ceilings or floor. Blue skies appeared over head, the trees probably marked the boundry of the wall and the ground was grass.
There were all manners of animals here and two stumps that served as seats. He gazed at her then. "A small place I use to go think, it no longer exists save for here." He tapped his temple. "I'm afreaid that this is no more than a figment but it appears real, smells real. If you were to pull a handful of grass from the ground then leave here the grass would linger for a few minutes outside of here rather than breaking up immediately."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
As soon as her eyes blinked opened she gasped, her eyes widened slightly with wonder as she looked around the room. Scarcely believing that such a place could only be made from illusions she walked foward serenely taking delight in the softness of the emerald grass as well as the small illusionary breeze that rolled through the room.
She noticed a few doe, standing shyly within the sadows of the trees and took a moment to wonder how that was even possible if the trees marked the edge of the walls. Her thoughs were interupted when two rabbits began weaving around, in, out of her legs as she walked, looking up at her with interest. Alynia giggled but took extreme caution not to step on any of them. A few small but colorful bird rested in the shade on the branches, a few more of them flew foward and fluttered around, but kept their distance, from the the girl.
Two of the birds flew to greet Oberron. The small and yellow one landed on Oberron's shoulder. "She has the most impressive chest, my lord" it chirped happily in fey dialect so Alynia couldn't understand. "Oh don't listen to him." said the other bird that was just as small but had an impressive red color. "She's lovley."
Alynia had made her way to one of the two stumps and sat down with interest. Finding that the illusionary seats were solid and stable she laughed. "It's amazing!" she exclaimed her eyes still looking around with fervor. "I can barely believe this isn't real." she turned her head to look at the blue sky and watched the clouds roll by lazily for a few seconds. "It seems like an excellent spot to sit and collect your thoughts." she smiled brightly at Oberron. Alynia pictured him sitting in one of the stumps she was on pondering over plans, visions, ideas, and memories looking both serious and regal while doing so. "It's fit for a king." she declared.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"Be respectful, she is your queen now," he rsponded in his language but he did grin. Of course the birds were merely figments but that did not stop him from "conjuring" a basket of bread for the animals. The birds taking flight towards it. Of course the bread was another illusion but rather than treating this place like a figment he acted as if it were real to keep a measure of his sanity.
"The stairs up dissolve the illusion before one can get to the door and open it, unless I will otherwise. I didn't want Sable or any of her minions to know of this place or what I did with it. It does appease me at times and seeks to allow me to forget about the truth for a small measure of time. To date only we know of this ... without the illusion of course it is identical to your own."
He moved to a stump and sat down. He said nothing for a long while, just staring at her. :You have such lovely eyes. Oh, normally I would have ended the tour here with this splendor but most of Sable's men are away from this section of the castle at this time so it would be easier to get here.
"In time, you will develop the simple things, I doubt that you will ever develop strong affinities with magic but you should pick up a few things," and it sounded as if he had either forgotten that she was to be executed tomorrow night, these powers would kick in rather quickly or that she had some sort of future that he had not told her about to assist her in getting out of this mess.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia smiled an flushed pink at his compliment. "You flatter me." she stated modestly turning her attention away from the splendor of the room to concentrate on Oberron. Such a simple and short compliment suddenly felt that it meant much more after a wedding. Though she knew it was silly in the current situation, but it simply was the way most newly married women thought.
"It's quite alright, I can't imagine a room in the castle as brilliant as this." Alynia had on a cheerful whimsical expression as she listened to his calm voice. Her face morphed into a more curious look as she thought over the possibility of doing magic. "Me?" she states in disbelief. Though from her expression Oberron could tell that she realized quickly that there really wasn't time for her to develop anything, even the simple things. But Alynia decided not to bring up her morbid fate. Such a topic didn't belong in a room where one could literally see the blue skies.
"I don't believe I have done any remotely near magic in my life. I dare say I won't believe it until I see it myself." A casual laugh tinkled around the room. "I didn't think it was possible to just develop it... " she said her voice trailing off.
The two were silent. Alynia was not the only one who had noticed something strange about the room, there seemed that there were less forest critters now. The sky seemed a bit darker than when they had first stepped in. It appeared that the trees and grass were shimmering as if they were about to evaporate into thin air. "Oberron, what's happening?" she asked in a whisper. A hint of fright was evident in her voice. Her question was answered as the sound of footsteps trampping up the stairs nearing the doorway were heard. Alynia frowned. "Someone mustve wanted to inform me about the fate of my hunter friend and discovered I was missing." she muttered bitterly. She had been having such a nice time too.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"Yes, you will pick it up. At first you will have no control of it but you will learn. Remember what I told you about tantric magic? Well it flows both ways. Albeit you won't receive much power initially given that I don't have much power to give at the moment."
He was about to explain further when there was a flickering in the illusion as his contingent magic took effect, Of course if someone came through the window there would have been no warning but who but Sable could have accessed the room such by that means? He also knew that Sable deemed herself to important to check personally.
"Quick!" Oberron leapt to his feet and rushed to the wall opening up the secret bedroom chamber and ushering her inside. He managed to get it closed, crossed the room and peered out the window as the door to his room opened after a quick stiff knock.
He was worried that Alyina might be right, that she might be discovered here but a tall guard entered.
"I thought I heard voices."
"You did, merely speaking to myself and organizing my thoughts over the past. What is it?"
"Merely send to inform you that Sable requests your presence tomorrow night for the ritual."
He knew it was not a request but was glad nevertheless that no one suspect that Alyina was gone, or maybe they had and used this as an excuse to check out his chamber, Sable was shred after all.. "What does she want me to do? My magic is merely gone by now."
"Drawing diagrams for the spell on the hall's floor."
"Oh? Is that all? My memory of her magics as arcaic as they are have been something I still possess. I can still mange that much at least. Why me?" He knew the reasons of course, Sable was vain and won't want to soil herself doing chalk out lines or collecting blood from the sacrifices.
"Just do it." The guard turned to leave, stopped when Oberron addressed him again.
"Pardon me, but I noticed the new guest in the dungeon, the hunter. What is to be done with him? He looks familar, was he not here a year ago?"
The guard snickered. "He will be at the ritual and see his sister die. Then, knowing how vain his attempt was he will be released with the body. You are right to remember him he came for an older siste rlast time but arrived too late to do much good save for bringing the body back."
"Ah, yes that is right I remember now. He braved the dark forest not once but twice. I'm surprised he survived, more surprised that he survived it once again to attempt to save his sister. How noble though it did him little good in the long run. There are some amongst even the cruelest that would kill him or even send him back with his sister. She is of little consequence now that they got the pretty one in the tower, unless she escaped and I doubt that Sable would be so careless with her and has marked her magically in some way to retrieve her easily if that were the case. Tomorrow night? I shall be ready, there is little else to occupy the time."
The guard turned and left though the illusion remained off until he willed it to restart. He hadn't crossing the room and opening up the hidden passage again. His eyes went to Alyina, a smile creeping over his face. "Such splendid news ... perhaps ... just perhaps you will not die tomorrow after all and Sable shall find that the scales have shifted against her.
"I will not be so foolish to allow her to linger on for centuries unless all of her power was stripped and since that is impossible then she must be eliminated. I cannot get into it just yet but we may be saved by her vanity. I cannot discuss it now though but soon. I trust that you heard all that was said?"
He looked more delighted then ever, he looked as if there were a glimmer of hope before but now he seemed brimming with confidence that things might work after all. Of course there was little time but there was no choice but to wait.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia had been sitting on his bed which she noted was larger than hers as well as more worn out. It was understandable due to the fact Oberron had been here far longer than her. When the door reappeared she turned toward it expectantly. She looked at Oberron with interested light smile. "Well whenever im allowed to know my plan of survival, please do share." she suggested carefully. She shook her head taking back her words "I know you cant tell me.. But its my nature to be curious." she shrugged. Even though she knew that he wasn't telling Alynia for her aswell as his own safety. "I heard. I was not aware the hunter has been here more than once." she stated a bit distracted.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"Will do. I shall tell you soon for telling you now would ruin matters and you only end up living hours rather than cen ..." he stopped, grinned. "See you nearly had me explaining to much there. I will only say that the time line is totally up to you when I can tell you in a way. You'll understand after the fact of course but might be very confused about it now."
He paused for a moment then strode forward so that he was standing before her. He reached out his hands taken her's into his as if he were going to assist her up. That was not the case however as it moved forward allowing his lips to make contact with hers once again in a long drawn out kiss that felt both pleasant and warm.
When that kiss parted he again smiled, kissed her again then spoke. "It is not safe for you to wonder around. In fact if I am caught in your room then I think it would be better than if you were caught in mine. I am given some leniency to wonder about most places here after all and my presence could be explained away easier, boredom, curiousity, whatever lie I could weave to the guards as to why I'm in the tower. You here means that your out and about not on your own accord since the door to your tower is locked.
"Still at least here we have so early warning."
She was still sitting on a bed though now it was a bed exposed to the elements out in the forest. Here in the bedroom had been the illusion of trees since the other room itself was the clearing she could easily see beyond him. The illusion seemed to reset itself though she was unaware of the trigger for the reset, perhaps when no living target was close by or after a designated amount of time passed as the lower tower door was closed, she was unsure only aware that it now existed once more.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia stilled her eyes accepting his kiss, for some reason this kiss seemed so much more delica, more loving. She lifted her gaze peering into his eyes briefly only to look away blushing. "I suppose your right." Alynia sighed "But it's so beautiful here." she thought of her empty room looking around in wonder. I guess her safety was more important than her enjoyment. "Shall we go back to my room then?" she stated innocently.
She would've gotten up herself but Oberron was standing in a way that pinned her sitting down in the bed. He was clutching her hands softly. Never has she been so close to a man who wasn't forcibly writhing against. She felt nervous but she leaned in slowly feeling that this was right. She slowly placed her lips on his, initiating her own heat. Her smooth lips moved slowly against his trying to portray her gratitude in a short moment of passion. She pulled away shyly, "Thank you." she whispered. "Should we head back?" she asked again changing the subject

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
He seemed to know how she thought or at least could deduce it well enough. "I said this is minor, I could do it for your chambers too, it will bleed my magical powers quicker to have such a cantrip active in two locations but something tells me that it won't matter for much longer, that things will turn out alright."
As she iniatited that warm kiss the heat of his lips crawled over her own, through her even. It felt more intense than any of the other kiss and as she drew back she noticed it only because they were in the wooded area now where some of the illusionary light was blocked out.
Oberron's skin was emitting a pale light, barely noticeable but there. As the kiss subsided so did this glow as he gazed at her part in surprise part in pleasure. He went to draw her up then found himself pressing her back to the bed, falling down over her body with a long kiss of his own. She could even feel his tongue pressing inside her mouth, sweeping against her as she felt his firmness growing beneath his pants poking at her. He then stopped quite suddenly as if there was something wrong, perhaps he heard something though he quickly stood up apologizing to her for the matter.
"Yes, we should head back before you are discovered here." Again he extended a hand down to her though this time he did pull her up before heading back into the other room, ensuring that she was still following he looked back over his shoulder at her before leaving the chamber.
As he opened the door the illusion dropped at least for a few moments until they were clear of the tower. Soon enough he had lead her back to her tower, unlocked the door and lead her inside. She heard him muttering to himself under his breath a few times in his native dialect but once they were safely back in her room and the door closed he regarded her for a quick moment, making a quick apology once more.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia laid there on her back for only a few seconds extra, a bit stunned, but the warm feeling of anticipation that had suddenly flowed into her veins wasn't entirely unpleasant at all. She felt even a bit of rather unfamiliar disappointment. She didnt know what to think of what happened. Nevertheless she stood, straightened herself up, and followed Oberron obediently.
As he locked the door behind him he and Alynia made brief eye contact. "It's quite alright." she responded politely to his apology. "You have nothing to be sorry about. No matter how informally, I am infact your wife." Alynia walked over to the window staring out into the real world, which was so much less eye pleasing than the illusions conjured in his glade. The day had gone rather quickly, though there was still an affluent amount of light in the sky, the sun looked considerably lower than it was this morning. It was sad, though Oberron had consistently comforted her a great deal, Alynia had already convinced herself that she was to die tomorrow night.
"Where I come from, there was a beach. This was the best time of the day to be there." Alynia said out of the blue. She had read somewhere that before you die, you remember things about the past. She wondered it that was happening to her. "Not yet too cold to swim in the ocean, and not so scorching you couldn't be on the sand." Alynia laughed to herself softly. "But all of that feels like a lifetime ago. But in reality it couldn't have been more than a week at best." She turned around to look at Oberron, who was watching her carefully. "Have you seen a beach before?" she wondered thinking he was likely surrounded by trees more often than sand.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"It's not alright ... I nearly ruined everything in my haste, but it is not ruined."
He listened to her as she explained the beach though he shook his head in response to her question. He had never been to a breach before being land locked in his forest there were few places outside of that he had seen before coming here that is.
"No, I never have but I've seen illustrations in books." He closed his eyes and Alyina could see a swirl of dut circling the room. The walls faded away, the light got brighter and in a few moments she had found that the scenery had changed to a sandy beach, white sands between her toes and now she found herself clad in a bikini.
He was standing there in silver shorts, sharply chiseled features greeted her eyes given that he was topless and only now did it become so evident how he dragged the guard the other day. He seemed to be well build though not overly so for his size.
The sparkling blue of the ocean was before them where the wall was.
Oberron opened his eyes the beach had a few gulls on it scavenging for food amongst the sands. There was no one else on the beach, however.
"Is it something like this?" he cast a glance at her. "It's been about a thousand years so I might not be capturing it quite right." The waves grew so they were a little more fuller, the beach sands suddenly changed color to whit sands and the sky grew bluer. Even the position of the sun changed dialing back the hour somewhat as minor changes were done.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia's face lit up with a bright smile as she watched the room dissolve into the scene she had been thinking about. "Yes!" she exclaimed happily clapping her hands together. Though the very beach was standing on had quite a few differences than the one back at Shokushu. The sand was a pristine white and the ocean was a bluer than any color she could imagine, she tilted her head up to he light blue sky and breathed in the salty air. "It's perfect." she mused.
Peering down at her own body she realized her clothes had changed too. A tight fitting pink bikini adorned her body which was a whole less than modest. She furrowed slightly at the tight fit but then smiled suspiciously wondering if he had arranged it so on purpose. Alynia looked up at Oberron and stopped for a second, pleasantly surprised with what she saw. "It's perfect." she repeated blushing walking toward him slowly wrapping her arms around herself shyly. She stood next to him and sat down, patting the warm sand beside her she motioned for him to sit too, she looked up at him with a cute smile. The way she was sitting also gave her husband a rather delicious view of her cleavage.
Though it was likely that she wasn't teasing him intentionally she sure wasn't making it any easier for him to wait until tomorrow.
