The battle below the waves had been fierce, this upstart was laying claim to what was his, no doubt that he had been new here. Aegir had to stall a little, long enough to feel the creatur's mind though the creature was not hangin back. It was capable of clse quarters fighting, Aegir stabbed by that spear earlier though numerous deep claw marks blooded te water.

Until he had a handle on this thing's mind it would be touch and go for a little bit.

Komiko could see the impression on Vikky skin that something had her, now wasn’t the time to panic and run off she had to save her new friend and decided on a bluff, now Komiko was sure that vision she had was true. “How dare you tell me what to do on my own hunting grounds, you release my prey now and I wont tear you apart, I would have thought you would have figured this out when I was pointing right at you giving you a subtle hint to leave, I would have shard her later with you but now I’m more interested in tearing your mind apart. Do you know who you are dealing with? I am Aegis! But you can call me Mr. Aegis! Now release my prey or else!” Komiko had demanded deepening her voice as best she could and sound menacing though inside she was scared to death.

Komiko had hoped this would make the creature have second thoughts so she could get Vikky away from here and maybe up to Aegis secret cave for him to keep them safe till this blew over. Least they could hide there if he wasn’t there. “Come Vikky the mean little monster not going to hurt you.” Komiko said holding her hand out for her hoping she would come to her and the monster would think twice believing in her bluff. “Because of you now I have to start a new game with her. When I am done with this little one you and I will talk… tell me your name so I don’t have to rip it out of your head to find out.” Komiko said sounding angry with the invisible creature.

This was a dangerous game Komiko figured she was playing because she didn’t know anything about how monster disputed territory other then knowing this monster seemed to be new to the place and maybe looking for new territory to take over. Komiko when far into the woods enough so she could see her friend and hope the monster would leave the so called illusion and give up if not she would have to do something about that monster if anything sacrifice her own body to save her friend from that beast. Komiko wished she knew how to use that node within her if she could even use it at all, she became worried for Aegis as well as for Vikky she was new to this and from the sounds of it she ran into the most hostile monsters so far. Komiko hoped her rues worked maybe give her friend time enough to run from this beast thinking to herself. ‘Come on take the bait you stupid monster.’ Komiko sat in hiding not making any noise in a good spot where the monster couldn’t see her. The vision she got was Vikky and the monster where the monster was looking back and forth from Vikky to where Komiko had disappeared to not knowing which was the real Vikky. To Komiko this was comical.

She had tried to move forward… it had almost seemed like she got away… then her hair had been grabbed and Vikky made a little yelp at the sudden pain in the scalp as her hair was pulled. She was forced back towards the invisible monster, incapable of getting away. … Gee. Here she had intended on heroically sacrificing herself to rescue her new friend. … But now she was a helpless bargaining ship which life was used to press Komiko into submitting. … Great. Vikky realized what Komiko was doing. … But… that’s entirely insensible. … Maybe? … Eh. Slarr glared at Komi. If she were telling the truth then she was the hated Aegir, if she were a student amd duped him he would a laughing stock amongst the other monsters here. Still he had to make a judgement call. It would be tough to over power both students at the same time and if that was Aegir and he attacked him then Aegir might not be so forgiving.

At the same time he knew that Aegir's powers over perception were strong indeed so he could have been holding a tree stump … no, wait, he might have bought that if he were in the forest but not on the beach so he grinned. Nice try, you had me going there.

Aegir had pulled his bloody body into the grotto. He was suffering from numerous bit and claw wound though the worse was the spear wound, the burning poison that swpt through him would not kill him nor would it leave him in the best of moods either.

This had been his territory, suffice to say and while Komi was too distant to pick up he sensed the node implanted inside her nearby. The forest … Number Four. Four and Seven where pretty close and he had considered that Komi might have been on the beach again, might have been driven off by Slarr.

Thus he felt out using the node to feel Komi's duress. It allowed him to use his powers through it at a distance and in an instant he had been appraised of what was going on.

A monster flew over head casting a shadow of an angel or it least looked like an angel, Komiko was using what she had recalled in one of her awoken memories the angel looked down at the monster and started laughing at Slarr as it continued on to some unknown destination. “Oh dear, as I had feared you still looked the fool among the other inhabitants I did warn you what it was… oh wait I said it was a tree didn’t I… my mistake. Now I suggest you get off my territory before I really get mad.” Komiko said this and her eyes glowed red, her voice deep and harsh. “Or I can kill you now if that would be more to your liking?” Komiko finished waiting to see what the creature would do and hoped Vikky didn’t think she really was Aegis she would have to wait to explain this and she wanted to introduce her to him the one who help to save her from that monster.

Thanks to Aegis Komiko was truly able to see this creature and it was every bit ugly as in her vision, she still hadn’t been able to control them to show the vision on there own and half the time she wasn’t sure if they was daydreams or vision, but this one had been a true vision that Komiko saw. Komiko walked up to the umbrella and took hold of the center of it, which was Vikky hand and pulled it away from Slarr. Komiko wrapped an arm around the illusion. “Come my dear now for you to fulfill your promise to me.” Komiko said holding the umbrella and walked into the forest she had plan to take Vikky to Aegis grotto where they could be safe with Aegis. Once out of sight Komiko sighed with relief “That was close. Thank you Mr. Aegis” Komiko said in a low voice as the illusion of Vikky disappeared and the real Vikky was holding hands with her.

So, was it working or...? The monster was not making much move- “Eep…!” Vikky involuntarily jolted when one of his fingers started caressing the curves of one of her breasts. ... He went quiet, flew after “Aegir” and was ready to strike diving down though pulling away once Komi had spotted him, knowing it would do no go head to head with Aigir he sulked then flew off to the forest.

Komiko wasn’t sure how Vikky would react about this news and if she would still be her friend, but she wasn’t about let her friend die just because he was a monster, after all he was the only one who seemed to be able to reawaken her lost memories. “Umm you haven’t met him before have you? If this was a trap… Vikky figured she’d be walking straight into it. “I don’t learn the names of the monsters I encounter.” Vikky said with a bit of a stiff tone.

So the location of this cave was a secret. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone where to find a monster’s den.” … She hoped that didn’t come out sounding too much like she was prejudicial. There was a pool here that lead out to the ocean and a dily lit cave. Aegir was here by the pool digging the resin out of his wound as the two arrived.

Komiko eyes finally became adjusted and saw Aegis next to the pool, she ran to his side. “Oh Mr. Aegis, what happen? Is there something I can do to help?” Komiko asked concerned that he looked so bad, there must have been another monster that was as powerful as he was to cause such damage. Komiko wished she had listen to Vikky when she said that they could use the stuff as a makeshift bandage but she was to much in a hurry to get to Aegis. Komiko knew first aid but she didn’t know how it would help a creature like Aegis, the first aid she learned was for humans not monsters.

Komiko looked over to Vikky, her eyes showed concerned for her monster friend. “I should have listen to you when I had the chance to bring the things we had along, would you please look after Mr. Aegis for me while I go back and get my things I left behind Vikky, don’t worry he wont hurt you.” Komiko said and got up from where she was kneeling by Aegis. “Don’t worry Mr. Aegis I’ll be right back, I’m going to get my things and make a bandage for you.” Komiko said and was headed to the cave opening. Komiko saw the look on her face on the way here that Vikky had and turned and looked at Vikky. “I know you have no reason to trust monsters and I don’t blame you, I felt the same way till I met Mr. Aegis here, he the only one that was nice to me.” Komiko said chewing on her lower lip not sure if she should leave or stay but wanted to get something to help him.

... Oh. The monster was... over there. He… he really was hurt. After having climbed those rocks to get there, the monster was over there, treating himself. Vikky guessed even monsters did not entirely support one another. Competing with each other in order to claim the students for themselves…? This particular one appeared to have used a strategy to befriend at least one student… and had most likely taken pleasure from that student, if Komiko’s blush was of any indication. However… Vikky couldn’t quite come to support such a relationship. But on the other hand, she did want to support her new friend. If that turned out to be the mistake of the year… then so be it.

Komiko was fast to come to support her beloved monster. Vikky wasn’t quite as fast. She kept a light distance, evaluating the damage from afar. Not that she was any expert in doing so, but… she didn’t have anything better to do. This scene of the Beauty and the Beast… Was the Beast as kind-hearted as in the tale? Komiko stood up and… wanted to go back and fetch her items? … The other monster was probably still there, somewhere… The items really weren’t that important. But… her priorities… gee… you really care a lot for this monster, don’t you… Vikky was about to suggest the use of clothes instead, but was reminded that Komiko was wearing a two-piece… hardly anything to patch up with…

Vikky sighed. “No… I’ll go and fetch your things. I’m the physically capable one, am I not? You stay here and take care of him. I’d be nigh useless left with this guy, while you at least can be emotionally supportive. I won’t trust any monster for a long time. But… for you, I can take a few steps.” Vikky gripped her white t-shirt and took it off, leaving herself in an equally white sports-bra. Chances were, it would have been ripped apart anyway. Now with her mid-riff and shoulders exposed, she offered the t-shirt to her new friend. “Use this until I get back. I wouldn’t have a better use of it anyway. Be here and support your monster. See you in a bit.” … And with that, Vikky gave a light friendly smile and then turned around to make use of her athletic and strong body to reach those things as fast as possible. Climb, run, fetch. She didn’t want to be out there too long…
