You could post them somewhere else than just in a "Pictures you think are cool" thread, though. I mean, you made them, right? Maybe still in silliness if you want, since they are rather silly in content, but maybe in a seperate thread? I mean... It doesn't feel like the place own creations should be...? I still enjoy them no matter where you post them, though. And I guess they fit the thread description, since they are cool. Heh-heh.

Except the internet the school provides meaning the system goes down a lot when you try sending messages home lol (what I'm saying is that Shokushu Campus has its own internet to give the illusion that there still on earth, you cant tell me that the school doesn't have anime and porn sites, after all they might be interested in more kinks they might want to try unwillingly with monster lol)

Actually, yes I can. There is NO INTERNET ACCESS, or anything that looks like the internet, on the island.

The school does have an intranet, which has stuff that can be used for researches. But no anime or porn sites.

Haha Calidare I love them! Slowly learning more and more things about the school but I agree if your going to continue with them I think you should make a place to keep them all together. Either way special thanks for the strip with Alynia!

On the same rationale that the school has an intranet I would think that they would also have cell phones which could make calls strictly limited to the island locale (with reception prone to shutdowns whenever it is convenient for the faculty or monsters). It would help with maintaining the illusion of normalcy. Not to mention that several threads exist where NPCs and players utilize such locally restricted cell phones.

Not really. There are no transmitters that cellphones can use. Landlines, yes for use on the island and to the labs. But no cellphones.

Remember, one of the basises of the island is ISOLATION. Meaning no contact with the outside world.

I did specify that the cell phones could only call cell phones within the school, meaning that any outside cell phones would have been confiscated mid-flight during the transition to Shokushu. The cell phones I'm talking about would be available from the Shokushu commissary, and would operate more similarly to walkie talkies with a few modern features. The idea wouldn't be to allow communication off the island, that wouldn't happen. But the faux-cell phones would promote an air of normalcy, whereas the total lack of cell phones would be considered so unorthodox and draconian that it might well reduce the influx of new students to a trickle. Shokushu would likely have to resort to capturing its girls outright.

Anyway, the basic issue is that communication off the world of Shokushu is out-of-bounds. However, I do not see how local communication devices at all break that rule. Technically speaking, even ordinary cell phones wouldn't break that rule--they wouldn't be able to signal across the vast distance to space in order to reach Earth. Thus, even if ordinary Earth cell phones were not confiscated all the students would simply assume that the island of Shokushu is so remote that they can't get any reception.

On another note, now that I think of it, since a debate on the subject has started I think it might be best to transfer the discussion to the RP Discussions thread. Silliness isn't exactly the venue for comparing rule-interpretations.
