"Gresham. The seal was carved by my own hand. And you forgot one thing. I can't see your illusions, because you've never entered my mind. Strike bloody three" And with that, she brings the knife down with one swift chop, severing Gresham's penis. Not content with that, she grabs it, eyes glowing visciously red, and forces it into his mouth, then forces his jaw to bite down on it again and again. She then takes the knife, and stabs his third eye until it bursts, splattering her. She grabs his shoulder, hacks off an arm. Then she forces the jagged, broken bone into his colon. "Illusion this, you foul, scum filled cesspool of incompetence".

Her eyes turn blue as she turns to face Rhaine. She catches her breath. "What just happened?" She asks. She wipes a smear of blood from her face. "Oh." She looks at her handiwork. She thinks forms second, then kicks the writhing demon once in the side and once in the groin, bringing out further screams of pain.

"Well, my lady, shall we depart this wretched place?", she politely asks, offering an arm.

I haven't have I? Do you think you could have done so much unhindered? I've had more than a peek into it already. Gersham chuckled, still standing there with an arm about Rhaine's throat now as Midnight turns back to address Rhaine.

The hand securing her by the waist removes itself becoming rather animated as black miasma engulfs his hand and he fling a ball of cold shady entry of inky darkness at her that spits and splits again guaranteeing that one if not multiple orbs strike her and bring a cascade of cold energy through her body that is both chilling and numbing to the muscles.

Oops. Guess you got to self assured there. You will find that this place works much differently than you'd expect.

"Oh really?", Midnight asks. "I know this isn't an illusion, you haven't been in my mind, so how did you heal so fast? It isn't possible". She turns to Gresham. "I can see you, lying writhing on the floor, yet I see you before me, and neither are illusions, and you aren't using magic. So how did you do it?"

"And what is my skill? My only magic is telekinisis. A little levitation of small objects. But, you know what? I feel charitable today. So how about a trade. I give you the knife, you give me Rhaine, nobody dies horribly? Sound good?"

And even such petty magiv exhausts you now. Combat as well as magical skills are dimished. He seemed to give it some thought. And just how do you propose that?

"Simple", Midnight says. "On three, I hand you the knife, you let go of Rhaine, and nobody attacks each other. I'm not lying to you on a deal. I don't lie about deals. So how about it?"

He would know if she were lying with his third eye of his. Even so he gazed at her coolly. And I am to trust that you will not stab me with the blade when I reach in for it? Place it on the floor and step away from it and I will release the girl at the time time.

"If I have your word, then we shall", Mid night replies. "Three... Two... One." She places the blade on the ground, and steadies Rhaine as Gersham roughly shoves her over. As he picks up the blade, she looks him in the eye. "One more thing I ought to tell you, if you really want to know", she says, face emotionless, giving nothing away.

Now he had already glimpsed into the truth or rather the apparnt truth so he was ready. Of course he was still unconcerned as he glances at the blond looking up from the knife he now grasps. And what is that?

Midnight grins. "That wasn't a real seal. Ever heard of the Placebo Effect?". And with a flick of the wrist, the knife is embedded in Gersham's eye. She grabs Rhaine by the hand, and practically drags her along. She slams doors behind her, and doesn't stop running until they're in the dorms corridor.

Gasping for breath, she slides down the wall and sits down. "I don't think we'll be seeing him for a while. Are you OK?", she asks Rhaine.

When they get to the dorms Rhaine smiles as a black bolt of dark miasma rushes over Midnight, the last thing she sees is Rhaine grinning at her.

When she regains consciousness she is chained securely back in the basement, she was in the center of a magical circle that impeded the generation of magic to nil … magical effects that already existed would perish, new ones could not e generated inside the circle.

Rhaine held a whip and Midnight found herself completely naked and stripped before Rhaine.

“Unfortunately for you there is only one way to completely destroy me but as we are waiting for my new body to form I am using this one.”

He rounded to her back, then struck her with the lash. “So I was aware of the deception prior to your ineffectual attack.” He whipped her helpless body once more.

"You are one persistent guy, aren't you?" Midnight sighs. "So why go to all this trouble? Why not just have a look in my mind and plant a little illusion? You haven't done that yet. Are you scared?" She grins, and for a second, her eyes not only glow red, but something lurks behind them. Horrors that would drive even creatures like Gersham mad, should they see them. He feels slightly uneasy at the sight.

Midnight laughed. Not an warm laugh. The kind of laugh done by men who carry large, serrated knives in dark alleyways. "I take it your silence is a sign of fear? Shush, hush now, child. There is no need to answer that. You won't be paying my mind a visit anytime soon, unless you want a one way ticket outta Sanityville". She was in hysterics. "And you whipping doesn't work. I've had much worse. So what does that leave you with, tough guy?" She asks, clearly enjoying this.

He was not afraid but amused, especially since there was nothing the student could do about it at all. She had thought she was strong but he was leading her on those far. He chuckled making a simple incantation the whip now crackles with electrical energy as he uses it to lash against her bare back not saying anything as the energy washes over her. Regardless, he would be amused by her. He had no fear fr her, she could not destroy him regardless of how hard she tried and now if she tried anything she would only succeed in harming Rhaine. Only Aegir could dcestroy him and so it was pointless in fearing anything else.
