The motion had been so clear in Juniper's mind, a quick crack with the headbutt to daze Eve. She might have driven Eve's skull back into Gersham's head as well, but given some of the shots he'd already shrugged off from Eve she didn't expect that to even slow him down. "God dammit!" she cursed freely as the soft earth behind her rippled a ruptured with dozens of grasping boney claws, "Get your filthy hands offa me!" she demanded. Simply put, she didn't have the freedom to dodge this time. With deceptive strength they clutched at her, red lines from shallow cuts running along her skin where she tried to twist free and drew the narrow tips of fleshless fingers against her skin. When he saw her with that slime she had been more docile but he assumed that was because resisting in this fashion.

That was most unwise Amelia. He was not about to let her go as he gazed down at her now. "Dammit, do you know what the definition of insanity is!?" she called as Eve went on the attack again, pulling hard against the skeletal hands as she tried to pull herself up again. With a sharp twist and a long cut she managed to get a wrist free, but the hand grasping just below her bicep kept her from getting the arm up. "You're the only one at risk here! Fall back and arm yourself already!"

Gersham glanced at the helpless Amelia, a smirk on his features seeing her in such a state and they were only beginning. That toy stuck in Amelia, bobbing there, almost begging to be used again. He stroked the side of Eve's face with his fingers as he looked back. Had he had use of his third eye this would have been easier as he would have seen intentions though at this range, this close to her the vision was blurry and barely good but it was good enough in that moment.
