Tha torch went flyin an tha doktor could not evade the slime far long. Sha manages to recover har wepon and shoot at tha last Xagi gathering up ta torch an using it on tha slime to free tha dok. Once done sha recovers har wepons and breaths out a sigh of relief.

“Not that I'm complaining but fancy runnin into you har. Shall we go b4 the gate activates agin? My luck can only go so far.”

He nods then looks at the recent body of a Xagi. The gate was to large to remove from the station with just the two of them and he had run off to collect their notes on the gate. He then glance to the computers, one less now but that still left little less than a dozen that had been wired into the facility.

Sadly the gate wasn't the only thing here but with these things moving from one dimension to another he had to destroy it regretfully. He had changed his mind about it when rushing off to acquire his notes. It was less likely that they'd just destroy the station from range if the gate was destroyed it meant no reinforcement for these things and the station could be reclaimed.

He had considered the less important projects that they had been working on her and rationalized a bit better even if it were his project which was the one that was being lost. Sacrifices had to be made he suppose.

“Give me a sec.” He began keying in figures into the gate's monitoring programs.

“K, make it qwik.” She covers the door with her rifle.

He clicks some keys and uses his clearance codes to bypass some of the safety buffers as he sets up an over load as he intends on redirecting the energy of the gate that it used to trace back on itself.

"Alright, done!” He pushes away from the computer as he stands and rushes to the door with her in tow close behind him.

“What abut tha ships?” Sha states as sha runs after him close behind. Sha did not think that they could fly. Still sha considers it as they make there way back 2 tha hanger.

“They can't use them.” The doctor huffs as they race to the hangers. The route is rather indirect but after all this time he seems to know what he's doing. “I can arrange it so three minutes after the hanger doors close they won't open again without the proper codes that can be transmited through the coms, it's easy enough but will take about five minutes of work. Warm the ship up and then come and cover me as I work, OK?”

It took longer than three minutes to warm up a ship from a cold start so it was up to her if she wished to carry this out or not. She could escape and destroy the station if she wanted to cost the ADD billions … the captain was out so she was in charge now.

Hope is in charge though the doctor made sense … “Alright. Get to work on the program.” She makes sure her rifle is fully loaded, the Nagai blade in easy reach as she reaches the hanger there are a bunch of Xagi drones she has to navigate around . They split up, the doctor rushing to the computers in the flight control room as she rushes aboard the Behemoth 2 start up the engines. That done she rushes to the flight control … this is almost too easy now.

Things were indeed too easy thus far. A lot of that had been due to her incredible luck, part because the drones had no real intelligence but did as commanded. But deep in the station on of the larger drones made the metamorphosis into a Collector a headless, gorilla-like thing with a mouth where the base of the neck would be with dozens of backwards pointed teeth.

It posed a long subtle tongue and tentacles instead of arms or legs moving oddly by hoping. It had greater intelligence though it was aware of them and now directed the Xagi after them. It had no qualms about using countless Xagi to further it's ends and as Hope reaches the doors that lead into the flight control tower here the doors to the hanger slid open and in pour countless Xagi into the only hanger it had yet to secure. The only good thing was that it had to divide the remaining Xagi between all the hangers unsure of which it's quarry would go after.

SHIT!

She wasn't expectations so many of them and so soon too. She would have to split from the doctor to tend to this, cross the room and draw attention away from them. To start off though she arms one of her grenades and tosses it towards the hanger doors when she has a chance to catch most of them in the blast radius.

What she does next depends on the situation. If the Behemoth was closer she would head that way, otherwise to one of the shuttles to keep attention away from the doctor. Hopefully they were just after her and wouldn't pay him much attention. She fired her plasma rifle as she moved though in order to give the Xagi something to think about.

The grenade explodes sensing explosive force through out the group. They are bunched together causing lots of casualties but others are still coming and with their linked minds they know where she is now and the Collector gives the commands to the others to go there.

Firing her rifle luck remains oh her side as she takes out several more thought the Behemoth is closer to the doors.

Three shuttles lightly armed and armored remain on her left and it is there which she scrambles a she looses sight to the doctor at least for now.

She makes her way to the shuttles as quickly as possible doing her best to avoid any ot the green slime spat in her direction. There are less of them so it's easier mow but my word they were still coming! She was at the shuttles, using then as a degree of cover again the Xagi.

And that is what the collector wanted. That false sense of security that she had as she made her way to the shuttles. Slime was launched at her though smeared against the shuttles for the most part. Several Xagi floated upward in order to still have shots against her,

From the ventilation system near the still smoking hanger doors came dozens of Xagi to join in the fight though the reinforcement was unnecessary as something huge slams into the wall behind her causing it to shudder violently. Whatever was there it was coming though wall or no wall. With the momentary distraction the Xagi continue launching their attack of endless green slime.

What the hell!

She lost her focus just long enough though, green slime catching the edge of her jumpsuit adhering an arm to a shuttle. She tugs 2 tare herself free but b4 she can she is hit by another blast of slime that smears over her as whatever was behind that wall slams into it again.


Even as restrained as she is she keeps her finger depressed on the trigger firing away though the lateral movement with her arms is more than a bit restricted and she doesn't hit much of anything.

He had won. That was clear, that was all three. Hope was virtually helpless and the Xagi began to sense that as they pressed in not even bothering with the green slime any longer, tentacles whipping about in anticipation as the wall shudders again.

A Collector never worried about how many drones were expended in completing it's objective as long as the objective was complete and results were obtained. Drones were easy to replace after all.

Something slams against the wall yet again denting and buckling the metal into a flimy state.

She was not completely helpless as the Xagi were soon to realize. She was raised among the Nagai an honorable species that dedicated themselves to the sword and craftsman ship.

Hope quickly draws the alien blade with her off hand for the other is pinned. She moves and slashes with precision but she only manages to catch a few. As pinned as she was her luck was quickly eroding here. There had been little place to dodge and soon her sword hand is stuck to the blade … well she couldn't be disarmed but the blade could be stuck to other things which it was. It was as good as being disarmed she gulped as the wall is slammed into again.
