“I wish I could say that but everyone is afraid of getting tangled up with Eclipse so I had to do this on my own darling,” Kevin draws back the cowl of his cloak and looks in the indicted direction.

It was true that Kristy was safe, that there was no need to do anything foolish but he knew Kristy better than that She wasn't going to just let him abandon Greeana, whomever she was. She was probably looking for help in the situation. He considered for a moment.

“What're we dealing with? How many guards? Who's Greeana?”

"Greeana is the elf woman they were taking when we intervened yesterday." She explained. "She said they were using her to get to her father. We need to go find him and get his help rescuing her. There are too many men for just the two of us to take on by ourselves. She said he was in a place called Haven."

The situation explained to him Kevin nods. “Haven is just that way. They took you through Haven to here so I just passed through it but didn't really talk to people more than necessary to track Eclipse here. A lot of people seem afraid of these guys but it we push it we could be back in Haven in under and hour.”

He paused though and seemed to consider. “Was there anything else there other than the guards that we need to be worried about?” He gestured her over to the spare horse dismounting to help her up if necessary.

Kirsty frowned at his question and a nagging concern returned to her. "They have the gem stones we've been looking for but I think they were using them to summon something nasty. We sabotaged their summoning circle but Greeana was the one who took the stones. I forgot all about them until now. We'd better hurry and get to Haven before the shit really hits the fan."

His eyes widen at the mention of the stones. Could it be that easy? He had been looking for them for a good deal longer than she. “Quick then, let's hurry!”

Getting to Haven seems to be quick enough. There seems to be a foggy that sort of glosses over travel time and the pair arrive a short time later.

Haven is a city at the base of the mountains near the forest. Four species dominate.

Humans, of course, then from the nearby forests some the elves. There were the cross breeds or half-elves and last and in a huge minority where some of the dwarfs from steel mountain.

Asking about Ishan the elf is eventually tracked down in one of the libraries of a wizard's academy, a stack of books before them that magically float to a book case and put themselves away while others drift to the table that the elf is sitting at as he thumbs through the first as if looking for something.

Kirsty watches the books fly around the room in wonder for a moment, wishing she had time to linger here, but she had a purpose to accomplish. Something about that thought struck her as odd but she had long forgotten why. Still, she couldn't shake the nagging feel that it was somehow strange for this adventure to have been so... focused? She caught sight of the elf at the table scouring through the books drifting back and forth to him and the thought melted away. This must be the man they were looking for. "Umm... Excuse me, are you the one they call Ishan? I have news of your daughter..."

The elf paused at hearing the intrusion, green eyes flickering up to the features of a comely human, though regardless of her age she was a mere child. He smiled at her though realizing that humans passed the years differently and he noticed another nearby and figured that he was a husband. He looked but saw no wedding rings though the girl had what might be an engagement ring,

In that look he studied their attire too. They were outsiders, their dress did not belong here.

Another book flew to the bookshelf sliding into place as it put itself away.

“Yes, I am he.” And he rose to clasp their forearms in turn. “Greeana? Oh, what word does she send?”

"Well, I'm not sure if word has gotten to you yet of this but your daughter was taken by Eclipse. My fiance and I were there when it happened and tried to intervene but we were outnumbered. I ended up being captured with your daughter. I believe their plan was to sell us to slavers." She looked down guiltily. "Greeana helped me escape. I did not want to leave her but only one of us was able to slip their guard, she distracted the men while I escaped. She told me to come find you in hopes that you would be able to help us rescue her. I'm not sure where the gang was going but I can lead you to where they were holding us. If we hurry we might be able to catch up with them."

He curses in elven slamming his fist upon the table making it clear that he did not know at all what Eclipse had done. Fools, if they really wanted a lesson … He was pissed now, before he had been annoyed with them.

To sell the girls into slavery was probably the ultimate aim of Eclipse no doubt when they had no more use of them but he knew what they were after, they were assembling the stones and nearly had a complete set, the crown would be next once they had the stones and Greeana would be their leverage to get the crown.

“Bring me to them.” And they were off again. Though he had no steed he summoned a spectral one into being and made his way along with the pair, his grip strong on his staff and sure enough she was able to guide him to the place she had been imprisoned.

Without a word he dismounted as the sun was sinking beneath the horizon to the West. After dismounting the steed vanished and he boldly approached glaring at the building as he did so. Kevin looking towards her as he did so as if he himself had been confused.

Kirsty exchanged a confused look with Kevin at the elf's strange behavior and then shrugged and dismounted her own horse to follow. "He seem to know what he is doing." She commented to her befuddled fiance. The elf clearly knew how to do real magic, not the science Kevin had been passing off as sorcery. She had to trust that Ishan had some plan in mind. "I doubt they are still here. If they had any brains they would have left once they discovered that I'd escaped." Surely they had to know she was going to go get help. Unless they were so stupid and arrogant that they thought they could take whatever she bought back with her. She looked uneasily at the two intellectual men she'd brought with her and frowned. They might be right. She had no idea how useful Ishan's magic would be. "We should probably still be cautious none the less.

Arrogant they were. No one came after Eclipse. Law enforcement or other wise and while they were not all present there were enough of them. It was terrifying in a way, Ihsan's magic was simply incredible as he overwhelmed the defenders.

With flashy incantations there was only one left, the one that had been recently freed from the cell he was locked up in.

“Where is my daughter!”

“I-I don't know! I swear! The others went to get the crown and took her -” He never got to finish as their was a loud crack that snapped his neck. Ihsan was quit upset. Suffice it to say he knew where the crown was and pondered briefly about that.

“Thank you.” And it looked as if the scary elven wizard was getting ready to depart company with them.

"Wait!" Kirsty replied abruptly. She was a little horrified by the scene she had just witnessed but she understood Ishan's fury and it wasn't as though these scumbags really deserved any pity. They would have raped her and sold her into slavery if they'd had the chance. And they still had Greeana. "Do you know where they have taken her. Please let us come with you. I feel awful about escaping without Greeana. I need to be certain she is alright."

Ihsan paused. He looked back at the humans who had been mere spectators at this point to his wrath. He considered the woman's words and wondered how useful the pair would be in the long run.

“I know where they are heading and have a chance to over take them. You are free to come or stay but you will not be allowed to drag me down if either of you fall behind I will simply leave you behind. Is that clear?”

Kirsty understood now why everyone in this world was so respectful towards her and Kevin. They thought Kevin was a wizard and that was apparently no small thing here. She nodded at Ishan's statement. "We would slow you down, I promise. I owe your daughter this though. If there is anyway I can help I will."

“Then let's go.”

He leaves there and while the two get on their horses he summons up his spectral stead again by smacking his staff upon the ground. They are off again and it is about an hour before they see riders ahead of them. They attempt to go faster though three men peel off and come towards them. The larger man she had not seen but she thinks that she recognizes the other two as they approach.

Ihsan summons up swords for the two humans then tosses a bolt of lightning at the lead rider, the large man who parries it with the shield as the magical power is harmlessly absorded as the trio thunders forth toward them.
