All it took was one man down on his luck to unleash Omega upon the ship. The ship was an old transport class ship used in mostly smuggling operations, now turned into almost a luxury liner in an ironic twist of fate. Poor fools would throw money into it believing they would get to see the best the galaxy had to offer when in reality it was all just a scam to get a few cheap credits by showing them a few flashy sights here and there before dumping them off upon some remote planet and leaving with the cash. So far they hadn't been caught or punished for their actions, after all who would care about a few rich tourists put out of some cash.

There was nothing truly special about the vessel's destination nor any evil intent behind the outbreak on-board. The man was simply tricked into believing the contents of the vial he stole was worth a small fortune. The man knew he needed to be sure it was real and foolishly broke the seal upon the vial in a desperate attempt to get his hands upon that golden orb that seemed to have taunted him since he stole it during his previous job on-board a cargo ship.

The second its prison was broken, a fleshy tendril burst from the orb and struck the man before it began to break him down and absorb him into its mass.

Within moments the ship’s cargo bay was filled with a fleshy-organic matter that coated its walls and floor before spread further into the ship.

Within minutes most of the crew was dead or about to be as the tendrils consumed every male member to turn them into fresh mass for the creature to expand.

Within hours the ship was silent, floating in space as it begin to correct its course. An S.O.S. beacon had been triggered in the chaos and now the ship was programmed to head for the nearest planet in hopes of rescue, unwittingly bringing this virus toward a world in which it would grow upon and consume over time in its current state. The S.O.S. would be sent to any nearby ship or planet, signalling a ship in distress, the perfect target for pirates or any would-be rescuers. A second signal is also sent, alerting the authorities to a biological attack on-board and its potential threat to the worlds in this system.

All Omega had to do was wait for planet fall. Perhaps some unlucky travellers would stumble upon the ship and entertain it while it waits. Fresh female victims to replace the already worn crew it had spared to keep as pets.

It could only hope.

Rei Yamamoto was working on her Cosmo Eagle when she the sensors on her ship had come alive. The platinum haired woman put down her tools and walked over to her sensors to see what was going on. Almost instantly she saw a distress a signal from a transport class ship, Rei recognize the class. It was old class of ship, way too slow and unmaneuverable to have any chance of getting away from pirates. It would be easy pickings until help arrived, the young outlaw quickly put her tools away and began to fly her ship to the where the distress signal was coming from.

The pirate quickly began looking information on the transport ship, to see what she could find out about the transport. Quickly the former agent found information that it had been turned into a luxury liner to make some money. Rei chuckled as the very idea seemed to be laughable at best. However if anyone had been suckered to get on board the ship then they probably had some money. And that meant that Rei could raid the ship for loot. Heck if she did it right she could take the money as a rescue fee and the people on board would think her a hero. By the time authorities figured out what happen she would be long gone.

The pirate made her way to the ship following the distress signals and soon found on course to a inhabited system. Knowing it would not be long before help arrived, the pirate quickly moved her ship to dock with the transport. Surprisingly none answered any of her messages and she had to wonder if they were in any condition to respond. Just in case the young woman wore her skin tight space suit just in case there was any exposure to vacuum. She had a pistol strapped to her hip just in case one of the passengers got uppiity. With a simple effort the pirate moved over to airlock to board the "luxury" ship.

The ship's AI still seems to somewhat function as the airlock opens to permit her progress before sealing again and undergoing the procedure for pressurizing and allowing oxygen to flow within before the doors open to allow her inside. The ships lights begin to flicker to life once on board, suggesting the crew hasn't been down here in some time as the ship is programmed to only provide power to areas of the ship that contain life to ensure there is enough to reach the planet. There is almost no sign of the crew anywhere on the lower levels, suggesting they either fled or where forced to enter a certain part of the ship for whatever reason.

It's only upon the second level that the first signs something is wrong, as this is where the first stage of growth can be seen. A fleshy substance that seems stretched over the walls, floor and ceiling and rather sticky to touch or walk upon. There is no poisons or deadly toxins in the air, only this strange pulsing as the flesh seems alive but unaware to anything passing by, atleast how it would seem. Omega knows better then to charge at first chance, no it would wait until she was deeper before attacking.

Here and there signs of the crew could be found. Random jewellery, clothing, weapons, all of it left scattered and forgotten among the fleshy walls or floor as if dropped in a panic or perhaps discarded in a mad dash to escape this alien life. The ship was still filled with life signs but it was impossible to tell what was living people or this growth, the main focus of life seemed to be within the secondary cargo bay located at the front of the ship where the escape pods where located away from the rest of the cargo. The only way to reach it would be upon the third floor after accessing the bridge as it seems the ship has some areas locked down, perhaps to stop the growth from reaching further in.

The airlock slowly cycled as the platinum blonde waited for the ship's AI to grant her access to the ship. It seemed strange that no one had raced to the opening airlock to try to escape what ever emergency that they found themselves against. The pirate looked around that as she moved into the ship and everything seemed to be automated and dark. A quick look around the low levels show no sign of human life so perhaps the crew had moved to upper levels to conserve whatever oxygen was left aboard this modified cargo ship.

Rei came up to the second level and came across something she least expected, some sort of the growth that was on the walls, floor, even the ceiling. The outlaw could see that the fleshy substance seemed to be covered in some sort of sticky substance as it coated her space suit's boots as she moved through the hall. The suit's sensors showed there was no poisons or toxins in the air, still the tan skinned woman felt more than a bit disturbed at the way the flesh pulsed like it was a beating heart. Still it did not react to the pirate as she moved through the ship.

The outlaw would have given up and left this ship, but she found jewelry and weapons just simply abandoned among the fleshy walls and floor. Each of them would fetch a high value and she spurred on to collect more valuables. She could see that if she would keep going she would find herself on the bridge. Perhaps there the platinum blonde would find some security cameras that would tell her what happened to ship and how it wound like this. More importantly it would tell her where the rest of the loot that could be found on this vessel. So far for the pirate, this seemed like such an easy score. She had no idea that her every move was being watched by the very walls themselves...

It can feel her every step as she dives deeper and deeper into the infested ship. She is unaware, too easily distracted by the shiny things and objects the other humans had clung so feverishly to even as they were taken away. Finally, deciding that she has gotten far enough, Omega begins to make its move. The way behind her becomes sealed as a mass of tentacles seals the passage, blocking the way back and lashing out if she dares to come closer. The floor itself seems to begin to move, revealing the strange pulsing was actually tendrils moving around her, shifting through the fleshy substance before striking now.

One of them seems to explode from the floor at her feet, striking her pistol and knocking it from her hip, knocking it to the floor. Within moments more begin to wrap around it and suck it into the ground much like she found the other items. Her suit was another problem, it had no way of telling how durable it was but Omega was keen to find out. The tendrils now no longer hiding as they begin to emerge in all shapes and sizes. They begin to take swipes at her, darting past her to strike and tear at her suit, testing and being careful never to harm her. If it wanted her dead it could have easily attacked her sooner, no it wanted to capture her.

A moan from the end of the hallway reveals a moving figure that stalks toward her. Perhaps it used to be a crew member or some unlucky tourist, but now it had no real features to be recognized by. Stripped down and rebuilt, it was not just a mass of flesh and muscle that drags its body toward her, blocking the path ahead. Tendrils seem to emerge from its flesh as it gets closer, making sure she can't just run past or try anything funny.

In truth Omega wanted to test her, to toy with her abit. It was more fun to give her a chance to fight, to see just how well she can handle herself and learn from it.

Rei continued to move deeper and deeper into the ship, so far it seemed like there despite the organic material everywhere that there was nothing that showed that it was dangerous, despite the platinum blonde better senses. It was the the items that were all over the place that kept the outlaw here, as it would be all too easy just to pick up the stuff as she went. It would probably would be the easiest score she had ever made. If only her ruby eyes had noticed that tentacles were sealing off the passages that she had taken to get here...

All of the sudden of a tentacle shot from the floor and hit her arm. The outlaw shouted as she found her gun knocked out of her hands. As soon as the weapon hit the floor tentacles wrapped around the pistol and sucked into the ground. The pirate had no chance to react when other tentacles shot out at her sexy frame. The platinum blonde screamed as she attempted to dodge out of the way, though the tendrils seemed to grab her. She could feel parts of skin tight suit being torn away.

As if to make the outlaw realize that any airtight seal was gone in her suit, there was a moan coming in front of her. The pirate looked up to see a mass of flesh and muscle heading towards her its tendrils spreading out in preparation of capturing her. The woman turned to find that the route behind her sealed, there was simply no where to run.

The outlaw immediately looked around anything to fight off the creature that was coming towards her.
