Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
“As much as I would love to simply gaze out upon the morning sky time grows short. Our window of opportunity is not going to be so strong here.” He gazed at her near oblivious to the thoughts that had been steaming through her head. His mind had been focused on his own questions of course. Things that he had been concerned with himself.

The screams and cries of pain took some getting use to at first thought now he did not hear them as sat there. Despite his words he did not rise but it was with her confirmation of them that he stood at last and nodded after shooting her a smile.

He had wanted to kiss her then. For luck he could reason though there was always the danger of wanting more so he refrained as he regarded her in the morning light as it washed over her.

“Normally I do not pay visits to the cells. For that I use the goblins.”

Before long there were a pair of goblins escorting her to the cell. She had been locked away with the others. Typhoon laying on his bed and playing the harmonica, Gale flickered her eyes towards the cell door as it closed.

“So good of you to join us.” The tone sarcastic as her elven eyes appraised the human before turning her gaze back to the bald muscular dwarf meditating in the center of the room who was sitting cross legged. He was wearing brown pants but his chest had been bare save for numerous tattoos that adorned his chest, the most prominent had been six goblin heads with a circle and line through them on his left breath and two dragons one on each arm. On the left a wingless dragon that seemed to be comprised of stone while the other had a crimson winged dragon sprouting flame.

He did have a breaded brown bead that stretched down to his waist and seemed to be unconscious, he was just that still. A simple cloth collar had been in place around his neck.

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
Eventually they had to part, an unfortunate yet inevitable turn of events she was guided back to her cell by goblin escorts. While neither he nor she had given into temptation that morning they'd gotten a taste of paradise the night before and although they may not indulge in the same ever again they got to share it at least once. That in itself might be terrible considering that they desired to do so again another time which would be nigh impossible if Flame failed to succeed, but then having never done so in the first place would've been far worse.

Arriving back at the cell she looked at the familiar faces, Gale and Typhoon while she assumed that the newcomer would be Roc, true to his word a spiritual character by the looks of it. The dwarf certainly appeared to be an extraordinary display of body art, the meaning of which could take a while to decipher if there was any behind it, and spirituality as he sat there in an unfamiliar fashion, apparantly having his mind centered on his thoughts unless he consciously avoided paying the sarcastic remark of the elf any mind.

Upon entering her eyes swept over his muscular appearance, somewhat hampered by his obvious lack of height which she might not even remotely consider average for a human being, but then again he was as human as the princess with an inflated sense of her own importance.

Still, no matter how rude or offending Gale would become, the red haired sorceress knew better than letting herself get carried away. There might've been little point in treating her well seeing how she wasn't exactly one of her preferred allies, but in the end they were all in the same boat and making a good impression on the others could prove beneficial. In any case she hadn't been there for the night, not able to stick to her plans with Typhoon, keeping each other warm for the night.

"It wasn't my choice, your highness." Flame lowered her head, gaze diverted to the ground before glancing at Gale. "I was in a condition that could be easily exploited and ended up spending the night elsewhere .. I had no control over it."

There was nothing else to be said, she doubted that someone who treated her like this would ask nothing more of a human than to contemplate how insignificant she found them. With the red head that wasn't the case, she figured, because of her Murk had gotten a few punches in that rendered her quite helpless, a state she undoubtedly never if rarely experienced in life. "But I remember that my actions have caused you great discomfort and while I might never be able to make it up to you, I'd like to apologise for it."

"I'm sorry." She didn't have much else to offer aside from allowing the other to slap her across the face or any other infliction of pain that gave her a slight relief, but that'd be all there is for the moment safe for the slight bow she did near the end.

In all honesty it didn't truly matter whether her apology made a difference as she turned to Roc shortly after, pondering just how she should approach him. Disrupting his focus could be considered disrespectful and she had no intention of acting in such a manner before him even though the harmonica playing in the back hadn't managed to set him off yet.

A rash decision, perhaps, but she walked toward him, kneeling before him as she cleared her throat. "Excuse me?"

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
While she may have doubted what the future would bring Nicodemus remained confident that she would succeed that this in a way was destined in an odd way. It was not ironic that he essentially became the very prisoner of the woman he had been meant to destroy.

For over a century he had spent her as a warden when not at Tori's side or doing her bidding, though at last he was allowed to feel alive again, that he was far more significant to someone and was more than a tool bid to do this or that. It was something that he could not really impress upon her though there were things that he could liken it to so that she would better understand.

But she was soon ushered back to her cell, Gale glancing at the human as she gave her excuses. Either she bought it or didn't really care though the words were the truth and Gale had no reason to question her about it. Unlike elves humans weren't raised on wine and could not hold their drink as well but the matter did sort of add up to the special treatment she supposed.

She was just about to tell Flame to save her apologies when she regarded her as if for the first time. It was unclear what she had or hadn't seen but she gave a slight nod. “Whatever. Just stay out of my way next time.”

Now Roc had been that focused, and his tattoos did indeed tell a story, one that he was proud of but wasn't in the habit of boosting about unless asked specifically about them.

Flame approached and when she knelt down in front of the dwarf and spoke deep brown eyes opened taking in the aura of energy that he had felt approach him. He could feel the flames that danced within not that he hadn't worked out what element that they were missing by now.

“Flame is it?” He spoke the language slow, each word thought out though the statement was concise and straight forward. “How can I help you?”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
She was rather surprised that Gale reacted in such a manner, but Flame didn't make much of it. Perhaps the place was simply getting to her, her anger waning with every passing second although she couldn't tell. Not that it mattered, her focus had been on Roc from this point on.

Kneeling before the dwarf her hands clasped together within her lap, casually seated as her eyes took in his that seemed to emanate a certain sense of great wisdom though she tried not to get lost in thought in the process. "Yes .." Nodding at his words her gaze briefly averted from his as she considered, returning to him shortly after. "Then you must be the earth elementalist we've been missing .. Roc, if I'm not mistaken. It's a pleasure finally meeting you."

Saying his name out loud might give away that she knew a thing or two the others did not unless they had a chat with him earlier, but then again she wasn't around to receive the same information as they did. For a moment she considered telling him that her most recent acquaintance wasn't all too friendly by comparison either, but that was more of an impulse than coherent thought. "I merely wanted to check up on you, that's all .. how you were doing .. how much you remember about your past, for example. Perhaps have a bit of friendly conversation, if you wouldn't mind sparing some of your time?"

Her voice was soft as she straightened up in her posture, eyeing him cautiously in case he showed any signs of discomfort. So far he seemed fairly content with her approach and while she wanted to know who each of her cellmates were, it seemed that none of the others really warmed up to one another and therefore spent time by themselves.

Flame glanced at the tattoos on his chest before turning back to his eyes with a soft smile, looking for something to break the ice before inquiring any further. The amount and quality of depictions of dragons and the like were unmistakable, seeing how he wasn't wearing a shirt he might prefer putting them on display so they seemed to be the most logical choice. "I couldn't help but notice the fantastic artwork on your arms and chest and wondered if you could recall what any of them stand for."

“I assure you, the pleasure is mine.” His pronunciation was clear though his words slow given a clue that he was not a native speaker and had to think a little about what he wanted to say translating it in his head. There had been no trace of an accent in his words though probably because he took care not to use one, that or he had been quite adapt at this tongue but just naturally slow.

Dwarfs and elves did not like one another, both were good natured but had rivalries with one another that were long and deep. Suffice it to say that Typhoon had kept clear from the business of the two non-humans least Gale think he favored Roc or vice versa though elf and dwarf had essentially ignored one another at least for the moment.

He grinned at her. “Child I have only time to give, sit.” He gestured before him to the floor. It wasn't much but it wasn't as if they had much either. He was use to spartan conditions after all.

“In regards to you first statement I remember two hundred of my two hundred fifty years. The early memories are a bit foggy as is always the case but I do not remember certain teachings either, most of the details but it is as if a lock has been placed on my mind to forbid me knowledge.” It was funny, his memory loss seemed to be more selective than hers, perhaps he being subject to it later the technique was refined, perhaps not.

Again he grinned as she inquired about the tattoos. “I recall all of them but I will tell you about the three most interesting. The others are guild associates and battles I have take part in over the two and a half centuries of my life. These,” he pointed a thumb at the goblin heads, “are the number of goblin chieftains I laid low throughout the years. Seeing that the chiefs are usually the strongest and best protected on the battle field on the side of the goblins that is a moderate accomplishment in bringing down numerous chiefs. Dealing with one or two chiefs alone would be nothing worth bragging about and could even be attributed to luck if you believe in it.

“The stone serpent on my left arm denotes the Earth Snake and the dragon on my right is Kale who once threatened our halls that I slew in combat. It took me nearly two years to fully recover from that ordeal.”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
Flame inched closer to Roc as he gave it his consent, offering the dwarf a warm hearted smile. "Thank you very much." With Gale seemingly resenting the sorceress for no apparant reason other than her own personal status and Typhoon giving her the feeling of not being trusted since he was cautious in telling her too much of what he knew, it felt good to not be considered hostile for once.

With any luck she recalled tiny fragments, bits and pieces of her memories that rarely if ever surfaced out of the blue though by comparison she couldn't live up to someone of over two hundred years. If he'd forgotten fifty of his entire lifespan it was no surprise that she couldn't remember anything, be it through either age or spell that was laid on them before. For all she knew elves could become far older than humans as well and with the only other member of her species being unaffected she didn't have any examples that'd provide evidence for these theories.

Ruby red eyes flickered between picture to picture, occasionally glancing back up to his face as he told of numerous things that he lived through. As fascinating as it was, she hadn't forgotten why she was doing this in the first place and perhaps having a solid fighter by her side in the days to come would be better than who she originally wanted to pick.

"That's quite a lengthy list of accomplishments, isn't it?" The red head wondered briefly whether it was considered anything special for a dwarf his age, but let that thought slide.

"But none of these sound familiar to me, I'm afraid.", she added with slightly lessened enthusiasm. "This .. lock .. in your mind, I'm suffering from it as well. Most of my life is nothing but a distant thought of what it could've been, so I don't have much to share about myself, but I hope you don't mind if this conversation turns out to be rather one sided."

Her face lit up when she drifted away from the misery she was in. While she didn't have any recollection of past events she'd gladly make up for them with the memories of others. "Would you care to tell me more about Kale or the Earth Snake?"

“Most of the first fifty years I'd expect to have forgotten, infancy and all. Not many people recall them -”

“Elves do,” Gale interrupted from across the room reminding them that the cell wasn't to big.

“Well isn't that special. Anyway, the threading of memories I've lost in other areas precludes me from remembering much about the Earth Snake. I remember that I could conjure it but don't remember hot and that it is an important symbol from the order.

“But Kale. Now that I recall with perfect clarity. I was a fair bit younger then and had been away from the halls undertaking my training for about three decades ad the monastery up in the mountains.

"Nearly two centuries went by with Kale living in the depths of the mountains and it wasn't until later that we found he came to use due to a dare. A dwarf child dared another deep into the mountains and coaxed the boy to steal a single coin from the vast horde he collected.

“For a dwarf the lad had incredible will power keeping to stealing one gold coin but when the dragon returned it could sense the coin was missing, flew into a rage and searched for it feeling in in the dwarven halls.

“He attacked and for six days the defenders tried to fight him off. He destroyed much, killed many and burst into the halls were many brave souls battled against him, tooth and claw, wing and breath. The Thane was hidden away by his guards by the dragon would not quit. Being so far in the halls I supposed he figured that he would add our wealth to his.

“News reached me at the monistary as to what happened and I and a half dozen students set out as well. The others were killed nearly at once leaving me alone with the thing as the Thane was hurried off. I recall being smacked around a fair bit but I held on and proved I was as unyielding as stone. I don't remember how but my studies of Earth magic came together then and there and for the first time I was able to call up the Earth Serpent which was why I was able to win that contest. My powers over stone allowed me to endure long enough to make defeat into a victory.

“As you can tell I have no problems with carry a conversation. They are numerous life time accomplishments. You can tell me some of yours when you get your memories that. After all this a tattoo of the witch will adorn my chest.”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
Safe for the initial interruption of his tale Flame listened to him undisturbed, rather uncaring about the fact their other cellmates could or rather were forced to listen to Roc. They simply had to make do with what little space they had and if there were comments or protests from the audience then so be it.

The Thane, it could've been Crom for all she knew unless there were multiple ones though all it really did was refer to another piece of information she received earlier.

Whether these tattoos were a reminder of the loss of his people, the great accomplishment in slaying a rampaging dragon or both, she couldn't help but nod when he mentioned the lack of knowledge on conjuring the earth snake, or serpent for that matter, however one may refer it. His memories seemed to be affected in a more precise manner, having been blocked out with far less of an impact than the sorceress herself had experienced. Perhaps she'd been nothing more than a trial run of sorts, the first one the spell was used on, but at least the ones with more experience retained a major portion of their own thanks to what the witch did to Flame.

"I've noticed, but on the other hand I was afraid I might bore you so I'm glad that's not the case. Thank you for sharing those tales with me." She finally proclaimed with a smile as he was about to finish. "Someday I might, if the circumstances allow for it. I doubt any of them would even remotely measure up to your own, but I'm assuming we'll just have to wait and see."

His last phrase made her curious, while she suspected that none of the three would sit around all day and not look for a way out it felt odd to find someone with such confidence in the ultimate conclusion of their predicament. "What makes you so sure we'll live to tell this tale in particular?"

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
“That is the problem with flame. It burns brilliantly but soon goes out. Stone endures over ages. It is unyielding but can erode over millennia. Like stone I am unyielding in my resolve. Maybe tomorrow, maybe a century from now but I know that constant drips will gradually erode a foundation.

“We may not necessarily kill the witch, we may be long since dead but she will pay. Like stone I am stubborn though, I have decided that she will pay for her crimes and I have faith that she shall.. Nothing will stop that drive for justice once it begins.”

“So full of yourself dwarf! Stone erodes. Flame is quenched by water -”

“And burns brightest with a stiff breeze,” Typhoon stopped playing and sat up on the edge of his bed. “Look we can spend hours debating over this element's strength or weakness but the fact remains that we are all here. We all got captured for the witches plan so it is a no brainier that we have to keep it together, get free, get these collars off and some how make it back to our own Shadow. The odds are against us but if we bicker over our respective elements or species then doing anything about it becomes impossible.”
The others swung their attention to Typhoon as they considered for a moment .

Typhoon regarded them for a moment. “Now, I might have a way out of these collars, maybe even out of these cells but I haven't figured out how to get to our Shadow yet. Now I intend to get back there someday, who's with me?”

Gale looked as if she were straining in holding back an insult, Roc just nodded slowly.

“As long as the witch learns her lesson from this.”

“She will, so help me she will.”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
This wasn't good. Aside from the unexpected argument that simply broke out among elf and dwarf Typhoon attempted to persuade them into an untimely escape and much to her dismay it appeared to be working. She was in dire need of a plan, but she didn't have a lot of leverage to begin with and what little else there was had to be kept secret to an extent. Flame swiftly got up on her feet, arms bent at the elbows and palms pointed at the ground she urged them to tone it down a notch. "Let's not do anything rash, alright?"

Her gaze swept back and forth between the three prisoners. "We need a plan other than prioritising an escape as the first and foremost goal. Especially you should know that, Typhoon." Fixating on him for a moment she proceeded. "You told me that the goblins have a ring that opens portals, one of the only ways off this Shadow and back to our own, hopefully, but we have no idea where it is at this point in time. We make it out of our cell, past the guards and then what? We're stuck here unless we gain access to it and we've got no leads as to who it actually holds."

"Even if we do manage to get away with the ring, we're weaker without certain memories concerning our conjurations so any golems we encounter along the way would be near impossible to overcome. Also, our escape might stall the witch's plans but one way or another she's going to get what she wants and I'd prefer it if she didn't become any more powerful than she already is, plus we're either going to be followed or others will take our place and I wouldn't want that on my conscience either .. so I suggest we all take a breather and consider that our freedom is worth more than a thirty second conversation. In the best case scenario we've only got one shot at this, and I'd rather not play the ace first when we've got another card on our hands."

It made her uncomfortable, trying to assume a dominant stature with beings far older than herself, though what she was about to say hurt far more than she let on. "Utilize our jailor, Nicodemus."

Regrettably she had to knit up a few lies along the way, but if she were to be put on the task of retrieving his feather all by herself, she might not be successful in the end. It wasn't clear whether or not she had the same amount of time if all the prisoners had escaped, if Nicodemus could keep Tori at bay long enough, so the safest bet for Flame was to keep them all here at any cost.

"I can get close since he has taken a liking to me, discover the location of the ring or perhaps even convince him to give it to us, all I need is a little more time with him. That's all .. If I fail then your plan is still an option though if there were no unknown variables we'd get out of here safely."

“Pft.” Gale didn't look too happy though when she gazed at Typhoon she found that he seemed guarded in the look upon his features. He was holding back in the advent of mixed company she assumed if she was reading this right.

To the annoyance of he elf the dwarf let out a chuckle. “Are you certain you are Flame? Fire is chaotic, without patience it will consume all the oxygen around, grow and grow beyond it's means until it is too late.

“I can be as patient as stone if I need to. I shall wait.”

“I wonder why you seek to use our jailor.”

“Because, Princess it is merely the sensible thing to do in this situation. We have to obtain more information first.”

“Whatever. This better not take long. We all know that our jailor isn't about to give up that ring.”

“Show of hands, who remembers how they got here?” And that had been both Typhoon and Gale. Roc only knew smatterings of it. “The ring is elsewhere. We were brought through a portal an brought to this prison and not stored in the one with the portal. I'm fairly certain that the ring is not even on this Shadow but a portal is simply left open to the other and the ring is there, I could be wrong though.”

Something told Flame that he was positive that this was the case though. He sounded a bit confident in that. He reflecting on this.

“I will wait,” Roc chimed in. He was the most patient of the quartet. And water taking the shape of it's container had Typhoon waiting to see how this turned out before going with the consensus though he was fairly certain how this would go.

“Fine. But I get nothing to eat but peanut butter sandwiches and such abysmal treatment I will escape. They cannot keep me in this place. You'll have two days to show me some interesting results, Flame, before I figure we're just wasting our time.”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
It was her mistake not to take the remainder of their memories into account, but fortunately her reason had been sound or so she thought at least. Fire may be chaotic, but burned brightly until either extinguished or suffocated and Flame was determined to regain their freedom, wary of the single misstep necessary to bite off more than she could chew.

"Seeing how the four of us are already assembled, I'm afraid we won't have much time. If we managed to remove the collars and ended up getting captured, I doubt they won't do anything in their power to ensure we'll never be able to escape again."

Gale must've suspected something concerning the red head and Nicodemus, but she wasn't worried about it hindering the progression of their plans. Their strategy primarily involved escaping the hell of Carrion, but the sorceress was able to present another that'd rid them of the witch and allow for their freedom at the same time. Still, she abused what little trust they had in each other, but deemed it a necessary risk considering what she feared they'd decide to do when faced with the implausible claim of Nicodemus being a fallen angel.

"Thank you. All of you." At the end her gaze fell on Typhoon, not having heard any direct approval on his part though there wasn't any sort of objection either. "I won't disappoint."

She turned to Gale then, two days were more than enough to give the Elven Princess something to work with. All that needed to be done was swap 'feather' with 'ring' though she hadn't worked out yet how to tell them the truth upon retrieving the former or what effect it'd have on the one she was with at the time. "Perhaps I could coax him into providing more favorable meals or have him and the goblins treat us better from now on although I won't be making any promises. I will, however, do my best to make our imprisonment slightly more tolerable for as long as I don't know where exactly the ring is and how we'll retrieve it."

Absent mindedly crossing her arms in front of her chest she adressed the three once more. "Nicodemus told me I'd be taken elsewhere for lunch, so I'll set things in motion once we meet face to face again. When I return you will know what I know though rest assured that I won't stress the time constraint you've laid on me."

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
Typhoon caught the eye of Flame. She projected a confidence even though she was in the dark about so many things right now. He gave her a brief nod, reassuring her that he was in on this for it had always been a habit of his to go with the flow and she had convinced the others to go along with her. He would have had to choose if one of the others had been indecisive but as the weakest but smartest of the four he was in favor of waiting for that golden opportunity. Besides, even now he was doing far more than practicing his playing.

“Ring? What ring?” Roc was curious as it was mentioned, his brown eyes swung in her direction, regarding her for a moment.

Getting on good terms with Nicodemus? Gale said nothing , the fact that elves were wired different than other species when it came to sex was something that came easy to her. The men could see the advantage it that, even Typhoon, though gay, had been no stranger to the fact that she was good looking.

Elves had few taboos when it came to sex. They had been wily in their charms. So this was nothing knew and made sense, of course, she wasn't going to sully herself with a commoner of all things. Sex, even after marriage with other people tended to be casual and open as long as their was no love and no attachments formed it was acceptable. It was alright to enjoy the act as long as emotional ties were avoided. Thus she was easy going with this.

She was more concerned with food though. “As long as those filthy things aren't preparing my meals. You have two days.”

“Then we are agreed. We will wait two days at least, agreed?”

“Agreed.”

“Agreed.”

Her time with them allowed her to go over finer points of matters with her. Eventually two goblins came for her and lead her to the familiar balcony we two places were set with dishes. The goblins stayed until Nicodemus arrived a few minutes later and bid her well before sitting down, dismissing the guards.

“So have you decided on you choice?”

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
"The ring that opens portals to other Shadows. We know the goblins have one of the three that exist which would be our ticket to each of our respective Shadows." The explanation for Roc was brief though polite in spite of having already said what it means and she wondered if the language barrier was responsible for his lack of understanding, or if he'd been lost in thought and didn't listen quite as intently as he let on.

Flame was knitting a lie since she already knew what needed to be done and how, now that she got her cellmates to play along there were fewer hurdles to overcome. Any further discussion contained more lies or extended on those already stated, telling the truth was out of the question until they'd done whatever was necessary to achieve their freedom. Upon being led away a strange feeling befell the red head, good for one because she was going to see Nicodemus in the flesh once again though her mind had been troubled by riddling the relationship with her cellmates with false intentions.

Stepping onto the familiar balcony she waited for his arrival, every passing second rising the pounding in her chest as her belly made her feel as though she could simply melt on the spot. She was horribly nervous as this longing surged through her, something she hadn't felt the day before it wasn't after their night together she became aware of the pleasure she took in simply seeing him. It dawned on her that she might be guided by emotions rather than rational thought in undertaking such a journey for the angel, but part of her just didn't care to question her good intentions.

When he finally did arrive after what felt like an eternity she was overjoyed despite the faint wails and screams of the damned, wanting to wrap her arms around him or simply step closer so that she may revel in his presence, but with the goblins nearby that seemed far too daring. Gulping down her own demands she had been seated on the other side of the table once more.

"Why yes, I have. Roc will be the one who accompanies me." She glanced at the man before her, his eyes blue rather than natural gold she discovered in his pure form. "I take it he's the most experienced in battle and could come in handy in a fight, if not the only one of the three I expect to follow me until the end without making a run for it."

Her trust for him hang in the balance, but she decided to tell him of what occured in the morning. "Typhoon confessed he might have a way out of the collars, Nick. He was trying to persuade the others into breaking out although I convinced them otherwise."

She had been ashamed of her actions as her gaze trailed off toward the ground, her hunger visibly restrained for she prefered to talk rather than eat. Would he support her decision to lie or would he prefer that his true shape were kept a secret among her cellmates? "I've lied to them. I told them I would get you to reveal the location of one of the three rings that could get us off this Shadow rather than tell them of our true intentions that lie in retrieving your feather .. For that I've been given two days before they'll go through with their original plan."

"I thought it best to leave them in the dark until we've acquired the last fragment of your power, they gain their freedom either way so I wasn't entirely concerned with the details." The red head ended up looking back into his eyes accompanied by a frown that adorned her features. "If you think any less of me, I'd understand, but I was afraid they wouldn't be willing to stay if I tried confronting them with the truth and I didn't know what else to do. I'm sorry .."

Post Re: The Fallen (for Ryu)
Roc nodded at Flame's answer. He was unsure if they could acquire that ring, something that valuable had to be well guarded after all but he would try.

And try he would. Now finding a means back seemed easy enough if the portal remained open since it was open. It lead into Llynoria and not Brindel but they could improvise once there and get to their home Shadow.

They were all from the same Shadow though different lands on that Shadow it had been deemed. Her cellmates followed with some routine question well, Roc and Typhoon did. Gale was content to ask little as long as the were well feed and treated well enough.

But soon the goblin guards came to fetch her filling Flame with those mixed feelings. Knowing that this might be the last time she saw the angel if things went horribly wrong. She arrives first and Nicodemus joins her in relatively short order.

He is restrained given his promise though that does little to negate the thoughts that stream through his head, of taking her from behind while she held onto the railing of the balcony or sat her atop it as he pressed into her.

Roc, Gale, Typhoon he had ordered the likeness of her partner as to how effective she would few them so as she selected the dwarf that came as no surprise.

“After lunch we will set things into motion.” He considered what little he knew of the dwarf since he had not interviewed him yet though as she mentioned Typhoon the final piece of the puzzle slips into place. It is a theory that he entertains.

“I suspect that he could remove the collars. I also suspect he's a little more than he let's on in being. Rats on a sinking ship I believe the phrase is. As things grow more dire he will calculate his escape, even if he can't get off of the Shadow right away he'd get aboard another ship to buy time from drowning.

“I am no disappointed in you. The others knowing that I am more than a simple spellcaster could complicate matters. I appreciate your candor in such a matter. I will have Roc sent for as soon as we finish here all has been arranged. You will see the goblin Mog, the old chieftain of the Rune Carvers, you will not mistake him for so painfully few reach such a venerable age though he appears a half decade or so younger than he actually is. You are mere moments away from freedom and mine shall not be far behind."
