Re: Sample (for Xui)
She knew she was found out, but at least she knew where to go now and there wasn't anything left in her way as far as she knew. One way or another she was sure she would be leaving this station sooner rather than later. She kept her rifle drawn as she moved forward, the word 'safety' kept playing over in her head to keep her from doing anything too stupid, not that she thought going into the target without a plan wasn't stupid. She knew it was stupid, but it was stupid with a good purpose this time. She'd step over the remains of the drones and activate the door into the room where she'd seen the life signs with gun aimed straight ahead for the moment.
“Ven, I'm here for Priscilla in the name of the ADD. Hand her over and surrender.” she sounded like she was reading from a text book, and she hadn't even looked into the room well enough to know if he was still in the room or not, she was just getting it out of the way.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
She raced down the corridor towards the room where the life signs had emitted from. At least when she had last checked for the room was a simple one. There were computer banks on each wall with several chairs in front of them and she got a fell that this had been some sort of control room.
There were four doors and she could only guess that each lead down a corridor to a secret panel and it seemed that the center of the station had been hidden from the rest of it. There was the door she came through and one other at each facing of the compass. In the center of the room was a stairway that descended into a lit area where the life signs must have gone though they could have very easily ducked out one of the other doors as well.
Announcing herself had been both good and bad. Bad in that the room was not vacated, good in that laser shots rang out in her direction from the dozen or so drones her that came forth. There were three crones at each door, most were in the process of automatically responding drawing closer, four departed two in one direction, two in the opposite direction. Clearly Ven wanted to keep her out of this chamber or perhaps there were so many drones here because Ven had been here and thus needed defenses adequate to protect himself should he be discovered.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui wasn't disappointed by the lack of her target, at least not completely, laser fire was welcome to break up the boredom of wandering the halls. She took a glancing hit on her armor which hissed slightly from the burn and she could only smirk as she looked at the eight drones that were approaching her. “Finally a halfway decent fight!” she exclaimed as she slipped from listening to her orders and dropping her rifle to instead drawing a slightly more close range weapon set, the pistol at her hip and one of her blades. She'd dash towards the drones, she avoided a good number of shots fired at her and her armor took the rest as she stabbed a blade into one drone before firing a round into another enjoying this fight so far, though really she was sure she'd have enjoyed fighting her target more... she could only wonder why he was seeming to avoid her rather than approach her, everything she had been told had been leading her to believe this had been a trap of some sort and he seemed to be doing his damnedest to prove her wrong... or maybe she wasn't thinking straight.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Why indeed had Ven left. He had been a mercenary after all and may have even lost a step with his disability though cybernetics repaired him to about 90% efficiency. And he had a remarkable new ability that made up for that slight difference. He had lost that edge in a straight up contest that he was so use to having but that had not hindered him much.
He was close enough where the sounds of the drones still reached his ears. The discharge of lasers, the crunching of metal, a gun shot, two of the drones already smashed to the ground. Ven was aware that they would no stop her, that had not been their purpose after all.
Six drones where left, they spit up attempting to surround her, two to the front and two either side. Siting her had not seemed to be the problem, penetrating the armor was so their shots were slower as they charged each burst with more power. This gave her more of a chance given that the shots were fewer but stronger whereas before they were rapid and uneven the longer charge times allowed them to aim their shots better rather than tracking he movements.
The four that left were going to attack her from behind, sound tactics if they could have gotten into position quick enough though the six drones were going to be dealt with well before they managed to circle around her. Their knowledge on tactics had been alright but their application of them left something to be desired.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui noticed their attacks had slowed as the remaining drones surrounded her, she didn't seem perturbed by the six until one blast actually managed to hit her and sheer off a sleeve of her armor revealing that she did indeed wear at least a skintight outfit under it. She grit her teeth looking rather frustrated with this turn of events. She knew she'd have to hurry a little, which she didn't quite like, she had wanted to enjoy the destruction a little. Even still she'd rip into one drone with her blade and fire the rest of her clip into the others only taking a few more hits in the process.
She huffed as she peeled the drone's remains off her blade moving towards the stairway and forgetting about the drones behind her for the moment. She glanced down at the armor she had left only to growl slightly and rip the tattered suit off leaving her in a skin tight top that conformed to her body, a skirt that she'd tucked under the armor and stockings. The bone plates of her arms were now bared to ther air of the station.
“Alright Ven! I'm gonna kick your ass for havin' these drones destory that armor!” they're going to scold me when I get back for destroying equipment she cringed at the thought of the talking down she'd get back at head quarters

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Drones were cheap but they served a purpose. The ones that were circling around her were still doing that, it would be minutes before they even reached the corridor she had raveled down though she already had he drones here defeated though at the cost of here armor.
The dozen or so drones she defeated didn't cost as much as the armor so it was a reasonable pay off better than he had hoped for.
She sounded pissed, which was good. She'd be prone to mistakes as thus far everything was going smoothly, Ven did not expect to simply overwhelm the agent in the beginning mind you, or no, he knew this was going to take time.
As she descended down to the sub level the green lights cast everything in a green-white glow. She could hear the hum of the repulsors of more drones up ahead, a vanguard that she had yet to see?
As she approached she would find that there were no doors, just a straight corridor but no drones. None … and then a wall slams down behind her cutting off the way back but nothing yet. She has a few moments to process this before she begins to float as a weightless feeling comes over her as the artificial gravity in that section of the station gets cut off.
Then the drones make their appearance, lots of them pouring forth at the end of the corridor these ones using the less accurate and less powerful but numerous shoots.
There were lots of them but they weren't all that great and did not stand up to damage all that well.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui turned her attention to the wall for only a moment as it slammed down behind her leaving her with only one direction to go down this hall, though it also meant the drones behind her wouldn't be getting to her, that was one thing off her mind. Though as the floor got away from her feet and her skirt fluttered slightly in the weightlessness she glared down the hall as drones began flowing towards her.
She was angry, that was clear in her expression and her motions. She flexed her wings and used them to propel herself forward at a surprisingly fast clique letting strikes hit her scales as she moved, she wasn't about to use her weapons now her claws spread and she'd slash through drone arms and spit at others, the spit hissed as it burned through the metal; generally she didn't use this ability, generally she prefered the tactile sensation of destruction her weapons and claws provided, but at this point she didn't care.
“Stop throwing these worthless scrap heaps at me and fight me face to face!” she shouted as she flapped her wings again moving herself further down the passage still destroying drones as she went, likely taking a few small holes in her skirt.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Her Zero-G training was being tested though the drones were still little challenge with her ability to use her wings to soar forth. The guns being on a lower, quicker setting did not slam into her with punishing shots but more annoying ones. Ven was banking on these hurting her less but annoying her to the point that her anger grew.
Already she had reverted to using the savagery of her unarmed attacks. Melted and shredded droids floated ahead of her impeding so shots from the others and giving her a degree of cover.
Now the goad. It was Ven over a PA system so there must have been a communications chamber ahead. “Come on, Xiu. You're much to slow or are a few drones too much?”
There was an orange red glow along with the green from the lights as she could see the latest droid that resemble a huge crustacean, the glow emitting from a flame thrower cannon mounted on the top of it's head.
Unlike a true crab that could only move side to side it moved forward, metallic legs clattered over to floor and it's legs had to be magnetized to keep it from drifting off.
The metallic plating on this droid had been thicker. It was far more durable than the drones and far more expensive costing nearly half as much as her star ship. Ven watched the monitors. His new found ability did not function remotely though but he would only pause long enough to see how she dealt with this latest development

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui would just smirk a little as she heard the PA go off and Ven's voice ring into the passageway. She was a little slow, she knew that, but the very thought that drones were too much for her was just laughable, at least until she saw the next drone that came into the passageway. “Finally, an actual combat droid. Was thinking there wasn't anythign worth fighting in here”
she cracked her knuckles seeing the flame thrower on its head, she assume it would be a bad Idea to attack it head on. She'd propel herself forward towards the droid trying to pass close to its legs so she could strike at what she could only guess was the weakest part of the thing, its joints. And try to make it so the thing couldn't accurately aim its flame thrower at her... the last thing she wanted was to actually be hit by a flame thrower, even if it wouldn't hurt it would leave her in a rather uncomfortable situation that she didn't want to have to deal with.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
The drones were simple drones used for corporate security and usually equipped with stunners to neutralize security threats but these had been modified with weapons to do lethal force. The crab however had been designed for war. It had a full array of combat abilities and while she came forward it stopped advancing and relayed commands in binary pulses to the less sophisticated drones to stay back bu still rain down fire.
It was comprised of a red alloy that was quite durable, she barely scratched the thing as she struck it and while hings like missiles had been used to penetrate it's thick armor the crab attacked with the larger pincer.
Being fairly large I was less maneuverable and while unhindered by her attack she found that the flame thrower was actual on a turret. An internal nozzle of fuel fed it as it used it a gout of flame against her as it clambered up the metal walls and shuffled backward while the smaller claw tried to snap at her ankle to grasp her, the large snapping at her arms in an attempt to render her helpless.
“Hm. Too bad you don't have heavier weapons. That alloy was specially treated against your acid attacks. Guess you'll just have to run away and see if you can figure something out if it pursues.”

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui growled slightly as she heard the PA system ring out again as she realized her claws weren't quite up to the task of ripping into this droid's joints let alone its body. She considered her next course of action as she did her best to propel herself away from the fire managing to well enough save for a scorch mark on her boots; the only piece of her armor that remained on. There was no sense of urgency though, currently this was a battle of attrition rather than a one sided brawl. He was right though, she should've brought an energy weapon rather than all projectile equipment, her only option really was to run passed it and continue on through the corridor which is what she would attempt to do as she propelled herself forward.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
She propels forward in the Zero G environment he crab follows by scuttling backwards, turning around too awkward. Some of the drones that she bypassed earlier zipped by now firing rapidly at the agent though fortunately the crab was too large to allow many to get by though scorch marks soon riddle the wall behind her as she is forced into the room the crab came from. There was a large corridor coming off the room leading to a large door, the corridor big … in the room the crab could turn around and pursue her down that hall.
This chamber seemed to be a maintenance room of sorts for the droids. Drone parts lined shelves and boxes along the North wall and a half completed chassis was on a bench. There were various tools for fixing droids, a large computer and fire extinguisher along the North wall as well near the work bench.
With the Zero G's another option remains open to her, a closed hatch in the ceiling big enough for her and the drones way to small for the crab. The drones had no hands though just laser cannons so closing the hatch behind her would mean stealing herself away from having to deal with them. But which way did Ven go? She had to pick a direction quick as two of the crones made their way into the room and the crab would soon back up into the maintenance area.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui reached the maintenance chamber huffing slightly to herself she took a look around the room for anything she might be able to use. She saw nothing but spare droid parts, which was quite frustrating for the woman that always preferred to fight “Don't get injured, Don't get injured, those were the orders...” she repeated to herself clenching her teeth as she floated to the ceiling to get the hatch open, deciding this was the best option that presented itself.
As the two drones entered the room she'd get the hatch open and swoop into it only to turn and pull the hatch closed again, as a precaution she'd break it as soon as it was closed in such a way that it wouldn't be opening again without repairs. Panting for breath the wiped her hand over her forehead and moved on through the patch the hatch led to crawling stopping at a point to take a breath.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
The drones fired as she scurried through the hatch closing it. The din of laser fire rang out on the hatch though it was not strong enough to penetrate. Even as they slowed their rate of fire after a minute the heavier shots failed to damage the hatch.
The crab, too large for the hatch, searched for another way around going down the wide passage way. Xui was able to float along and had to grab a breather at one stage. Shortly after gravity returned and she found herself in a corridor. Slits in the ceiling opened up and out dropped several incendiary grenades, most being harmless and causing nothing more then minor burns but some discharging with a stronger blast of electrical energy though towards the end of this storm of grenades was on that triggered an EMP pulse, the lights in the corridor dulling with it though a door opens at the end of the corridor and out comes a grinning Ven armed with a katana.
He had a blaster on his hip though it seemed as if he wished to settle this at last, one warrior to another.
“Engarde.” He lifted the sword up the tip pointing at her as he stepped forward intend in closing the distance. His cybernetic eye allowing him to pierce the veil of darkness for the EMP grenade that would have killed any electronic devices she may have been carrying as well as the lights. It was clear that finally he seemed to mean business.

Re: Sample (for Xui)
Xui folded her wings behind her as the gravity came back on, she was thankful for that certainly, floating and flying were two very different feelings. She continued down the corridor not expecting anything out of the ordinary, when she heard the first clatter of grenades she started to run back, the incendiary grenades scorched her scales and made her have to pat out her clothes, the EMPs however had an unexpected effect, her knees became weak and she couldn't help but moan out, it was a feeling she'd never experienced before,
understanding what exactly just happened would have to wait though, her target just presented himself to her with a sword. She collected herself as quickly as she could steadying her stance though her face was flush. She stretched out her claws and grounded herself . “Thought you'd never show up... had to have little toys try and get me tired.” she huffed slightly at that. “Either you expected a human or you didn't get enough info 'bout me to be useful.”
