Edgar seemed dejected as he set his sword to the side after checking the sharpness. Why he had though this time would be different then the last he could not say with any real certainty as he drew his dagger beginning to sharpen that too.

Really he didn't want to hope again but there was no way around that now. The more he had been around her the more he had hoped. He would see this through to the end of course regardless.

“Yeah, I guess you're right about getting there.” He repeated, his gaze drifted toward her for a moment. Then a if needing to shift the subject.

“Are you any good with a blade?”

"I don't know." She frowned at herself and her short answer. She could feel it was just as awkward for him as it was for her. He was even willing to change the subject. She should at least help with it. Turning around, she shifted, scooting herself closer to his side as she looked at the blade.

"Show me. How do I best handle it?" Her mana was already relaxing as she drew closer to him, put at a disarming current as she placed her shoulder next to his. She looked to both the blade. "Who encrusted your blade with those glyphs? What do they do? Have you had them long?" She asked curiously.

The heat of her body, that closeness … he glanced to the blade as she asked her questions, feeling foolish a asking his own, lack of memories, right. But he studied the sword for a moment.

“Oh, I've had this sword going on three years now ...” he held it up for her to see. Each rune delicately engraved into I in elven script. “I do not know who enchanted it but the sword seems to be guided by itself at he best of times.

“It has no real weigh other than at the handle. It was loot that I got years back and I cannot read the script. In he years since it's been translated by Jenna of all people. It reads in elven, SWIFT CLEANSING RAIN OF ENLIGHTMENT.”

He nods and gets out another dagger that he had hidden up his sleeve pressing it into her hands. “And this is Viper though I have a better idea of what it does. It is enchanted too and I would like for you to carry it on your person.”

She nodded, focusing on the smaller dagger and the longer blade. Her eyes were mesmerized by the intricate works that it had been made in. Elves . . . Wow, so they existed on this plain, too. "I bet this Shadow is so wonderful . . . I never thought I'd see an Elf, let alone their blade." She ran her finger up the length of the blade, towards the hilt, until her fingers met with his knuckles. Blushing, she allowed her fingers to drop away and look at the much smaller dagger.

"Viper? Quick and lethal . . . A fitting name," she offered, smiling towards him as she held it in her palms. It felt weighty, yet still sure. It was small enough for her to carry under her clothing, but weighty enough to actually do some serious damage. Whoever met at the other end of the blade would not walk away the same, even if it was only one strike. She looked to him. "Are you sure? I'm certain you'd do better at its handling than I would be able to," she said, uncertain, even though she did tuck it away in her robes.

She looked again to the longer blade, wondering if she were to be even cut by it, would it have an effect of the blessing. The name alone made her want to try.

"Swift cleansing, rain of enlightment . . . What would the chances of it being to cut through enchantments?" She only hoped as she looked up it wouldn't give away too much of her thoughts, knowing he might not be so full for the idea.

Her touch is electric at that contact and he grins a bit as she blushes though she is pressed closed to as he shows off the features of the weapon.

“Well there are no elves in this nation that I am aware of though the enchanted weapons are of obvious elven make and had to be going o an elf.”

He nods but takes the dagger from her first to explain it a little, it didn't dawn on him at first what it was and he triggered it by accident. “The pommel as you and see is the head of a hooded cobra that can be depressed. If you look her on the blade it has a hole and that leads to a passage that venom leaks out of it.

“It has one dose of poison, currently it's a paralytic poison but can be replaced with any poison. It is called a Dagger of Venom I am told.”

At her comment about his blade though he is uncertain. Swift Cleansing Rain of Enlightenment … “It might be able to cut through wards or the like, I've never used it in such a manner before. Do you know about it?”

She gave him a playful flick on the nose. "No . . . But if your guess was as much as mines . . . Would it break through a Blessing? Cleanse me of its hold, enlighten me of my memories? It should work," she gave, coming to her knees and leaning closer. She already felt the uncertainty that was showing on his brow.

"Look, Edgar, we're in danger. If Rhode's come upon us and I can't do everything in my power to protect you and Jenna . . . I'd never forgive myself." Her eyes look over his, her face already so close. She fought the instinct to lower the distance and forget the conversation and let body do what memory wanted to have. "Please, tell me you know it's worth a shot," she asked, resting her hands on his knees.

She had looked good on her knees, an internal fire swept over him at he touch of her hands resting atop his knees and he was certainly looking forward to other matters at he time.

He considers the request uncertain. Ironic that the person that knew about magic was the one that lost her memories. He looked at her then to the blade.

“What do I do, nick you with it and see what results?”

"I don't know. Maybe we could try?" Part of her knew the effect she was having on him. The other part didn't care as she leaned closer. "Yeah, you should try it."

She had been avoiding looks at him all day because she knew if he so much as tried to pressed, hell, even prod her with the idea, she might have just caved. She wondered if they were formerly as intimate as her body was aching for now. "You should use that sword like you know how. Don't tell me you're shy all of a sudden," she said blankly, fighting back the grin that was on her lips now.

It was unmistakable, her word play of course though with the prospect of Jenna coming back, well they would have to go else where or be rushed about matters.

Truth be told he tried o be less 'pushy' this time around and just allowed for things to happen though I was clear that he was stimulated by her choice of words as he felt himself begin to stir.

“You want me to do so here?” He asked as he handled the blade, of course that was a reminder that Jenna was sill around and it would tell him if she really had other things in her mind since such a nick could be accomplished her and now without much fuss.

She gave a questioning 'hmm' as she let her fingers glide down from his knees, no longer needing the support from so high when they could easily find more softer cushion up his thighs.

"Do what exactly?" She smiled, eyes lowering just a pinch. Why was she being so forward this time? Was it like her? She hadn't supposed. But it was getting harder and harder to resist knowing how attractive he was and just . . . Well, she was tired of it. "I haven't said anything but try and see if it would work. You are sure about your weapon handling, right? I know you could do a lot. I'm sure you wouldn't . . . .hurt me."

If Jenna walked on, she didn't know how she would handle it. But she didn't move away, hadn't even so much as blushed. Her mana was aflame. Seemed to breathe more life than the fire set behind her as the shadows danced in her hair.

“Funny story actually. I got his sword minus the scabbard. I've tried several out but none seemed to be the right fit for it. Perhaps I will find a better fit to encase it than the one that I settled on for it.”

He grinned a little, the heat of her grasp on his had been intense, almost as intense of him leaning forward his lips brushed over her own then as a hand rested loosely at the back of her head as his eyes close and his lips move against her own his tongue swirling against her lips seeking admittance into the solace of her warm mouth.

His other hand rested upon her hip, holding her there as he coaxed her a little closer.

She moaned into the kiss, feeling his own lips on her like a searing desire that she couldn't quench. It was as if she had taken a gasp of air after being under water for so long as she opened her mouth, giving passage for his tongue to proceed forth, her thumbs beginning to knead his inner thigh in silent encouragement.

Sparks flew at the kiss, her eyes fluttering closed as she turned her head to better accommodate him. If he needed a scabbard, who was she to deny him from letting loose such a fine sword?

His second hand needed only a little goading of her hips to get closer, her body falling into place like a puzzle piece as she nestled onto his lap, her hands replacing themselves on his shoulders as he brought them closer. She couldn't resist, she wanted him to pull her as close as he could, wanted to feel that passion he had been holding back. She knew . . . Just knew that maybe if she gave in, maybe if she just let it happen, the rest of her memories would fall into place, too. She nudged her knee gently over the split of his pants, rubbing it affectionately, coaxing him on. Sure, she might pay for waking the dragon, but she would pay the iron price for it gladly.

Drawing her forth into his lap there had been no mistaking that he was already hard, his tongue wasting no time in sweeping over her own as he throbbed beneath her with that strengthening nee. She wondered only passively, realizing her body would act the way that was natural of it to move with him. Perhaps there were more answers to be given. But she'd never know if she didn't continue on. But he didn't seem to be against the idea either as he rounded his hands around her body.

She gave a small moan, trying to encourage him forward as he rolled her on her back, her hair coming undone from her loose ponytail, far too untended from the long travels. Her lips lifted up as he maneuvered her robes to fall loose around her, his hands, always so warm, calloused, hard, rubbing her so gently. She marveled at how skilled he was at restraining his strength, made so gentle now.

There was a need to rush, to finish before Jenna returned but there had been no sense of urgency in his actions. He touched her heated flesh tracing along her leg as he lifted the robes higher and higher as her removed hat barrier of cloth out of the way.

Repositioning her ebony legs to either side of his body he reached up beneath her robes, pulling aside the panties that he had discovered there. The index finger of his other hand patiently easing against her labia as they sealed this moment with that deep kiss.
