It had been unusual that a student made the list the very first time that he had met them. In fact she had been the first student that he had spent an entire night with and he had found the experience rewarding so he had been prompted in finding her again.

Doing so was not tough for someone like him as he masqueraded through the halls. He had all the information taken from her mind the last time that he had encountered her and began to think as to what sort of scenario he could manipulate this time.

There was the invention of Julie too, and exchange that he had given her for her continued cooperation though tonight he considered that he was going to plague her dreams. He had considered the approach that he had used twice before with Ishtar and Vikky, pleasant encounters in the waking world but dreams that were both good and bad in parts.

In truth he had done this with Alynia to though in her case he let her own subconscious mind guide things along.

But what was this? This should not be so unusual as he felt familiar minds so close. There was Rebecca that he messed with not too long ago with Hel, that had been fun, and Pia too though he had a pretty good relationship with her, her magic might tell her what was going on so he left that alone for now as he tended to sculpt scenarios of a different sort for her.

Then there was Izumi who he had dealt with once before, plaguing her with rather dark dreams. She was a witch too … perfect … and given that he powers chiefly manipulated the luck of others there was little chance of being discovered.

He let himself in Lily's dorm using telekinesis on the lock. He closed the door behind him, relocked it and grinned as he went into the dorm room. He had been where the guise of Ruby if anyone saw him they would have that image projected to them.

Lily had been unconscious at this stage, her dreams usurped by Aegir with ease. Lily would find that she was clad in dark brown leather armor, a backpack on her back, a harp in her hands and a sword at her side.

Izumi had been drawn in as well dressed in maroon robes. There was also a man, Clyde, adorned in dented platemail armor and wielding a giant sized ax. There were others to, all dead on the ground.

Surrounding them on three sides were numerous gray-green humanoids armed with a variety of weapons though spears and swords are common among them. Tusk jut out of their mouths and their features seem a little porcine … orcs, dozens of them. Dozens more liter the ground already slain.

A dark passage resides behind them in the near distance.

“Ladies, run!” Clyde bellows as he boldly steps forward as if to ward himself off between the orcs and them.

What the? One moment she was sunning herself at the beach with Mildred at her side the next in this dark and dank place with the strong scent of blood in the air. A quick assessment of the situation told her that she was not the only one here either, there were two others and it seemed that their other companions were deceased with a sea of these creatures pressing in on them.

How fitting. Robes. This dream had pegged him in the role of spell caster though she had no choice but to play along at this stage.

She wondered what they were doing here, saw that she had a sword at her side and a staff in her hands with the top glowing shedding light like a torch.

She didn't have to be told twice as she beats a hasty retreat to the passage indicated.

Lily was used to strange, confusing dreams but usually her dreams had always had smooth transition into a new dream. But this change was sudden. She went from a dream that crossed Star Wars with Kingdom Hearts to this strange, nightmarish fantasy. One look at herself and she knew she was a traveling bard and a warrior. And boy was this a lucid dream. She ran the moment that man told her. She stayed with the other girl.

“What the hell is going on?” Izumi pants after they run some distance and she is unable to draw more breath into her lungs as she pants heavily. She looks at the other girl. “I don't know who you are or what we're doing or where we are at for that matter.”

She sakes her head as a frown creases her lips. “Asano Izumi,” she'd offer more if she was not dealing with a life and death situation.

Clyde backed up, his ax whirling in a huge arc daring the orcs to press in close. He stopped in the entrance leading into the cave so that the orcs could come at him only from the front. He would buy the girls whatever time they needed though it was clear that he was going to give his life for there's.

At least someone would live …

Meanwhile in that cave as the girls panted and tried to determine what was going on here Trakh heard the pair. He at first ignored them as plenty of orcs moved through the area but as he neared he got to listening.

The voices that drifted to his ears had been soft and feminine. Female? All the orc warriors were male though this sounded like two of them. He inhaled the air sniffing strongly before growling the guttural sound carrying in the darkness to get the attention of the pair.

"Lily Soleanna. I have no clue what's goi-" the blonde began, only to be interrupted by a strange growling from deeper in the cave. "That can't be good." She drew her sword, worried they were about to run into something... unpleasant.

“No, not at all,” Izumi added as she gripped the staff tightly in one hand and drew her sword in another. The sudden change in her dream had caught her off guard, her heart thumping in her chest as distant sounds of Clyde's fighting reached her ears.

Her blue eyes (for her dream self had envisioned that her color changing contacts were in) strained to see in the darkness as she waited stepping up next to Lily so that she had more light to see by.

The creature caught up to the pair, inhaling their scent as he drew near. He could smell their fear entwined in the air as he drew close, his eyes well adjusted to the light allowing him to see in darkness though Trakh had viewed the pair standing in the halo of light, the troll grinning as he looked eagerly at the two females. Humans. This was going to be fun for it had been years since he had encountered any and they were so rare here of all places.

His shaft started to stiffen, long and hard as it swelled with his blood in anticipation of taking the two. First he would have a bit of fun before he devoured them, maybe he would keep them alive for a bit so he could have fun for a few days time, maybe right now he would only eat one of them to tide him over as he played with the others.

Knowing no fear the enormous troll approached from out of the darkness as he headed straight towards the pair.

"Oh shit!" Lily screamed as she saw a troll charging at them out of the darkness. She had played enough video games to know this was bad. Very bad. Trolls were very hard to kill. You had to trick them into hurting themselves.

Izumi's eyes widened in terror. The huge creature lumbered forth and she could feel her resolve faltering. She might have known some magic but it was not flashy and dealt primarily with probabilities. Influencing luck for good or bad.

She grasps Lily by the wrists and runs too vexed to even consider using magic at the time being. Fire, wasn't there something about fire harming them? They were fearless, right? Stupid. Regenerators? She struggled to recall all the tales but they varied form fairy tale to fairy tall. In Lords of the Rings sunlight turned them to stone and they didn't regenerate but in D&D they did not turn to stone but regenerated.

What sort of troll was this though?

The troll did not turn to stone in the sunlight, nor did he regenerate but Trakh was very, very durable. He growled as the pair ran off though the illumination of light from the staff made it easy for him to follow.

He lumbered after the pair, long gangly limbs reaching out towards the girls, reaching towards the back of the heads to grasp them but just barely missing currently. His rank breath on the back of her neck until she realized that it was getting a little further from her or was focused on her. Clearly, this wasn't her day.

Lily ran with Izumi, not even bothering to look back. The two girls didn't stand a chance against the troll in a fight. But maybe there was something she could do to slow it down. She hoped this would work! As she ran, Lily began singing a lullaby that echoed off the cave walls beautifully. The echo made up for the distortion in her voice caused by running.

She was out of tricks really. She had hit Lily with her luck enhancing gaze though had not tried the Evil Eye on the troll considering it never seemed to work against the residents on Shokushu … this was a dream but still, would her powers be effected?

At least one of them would get away. Lily began out distancing the pair of them, the troll looming closer, her heart pounded in her chest as she felt the rank breath of the beast upon her then the singing began ...

Trakh was right behind them. He ran through the darkness with an uneasy gait and it looked as if he were about to snatch hold of the bard though she got quicker and quicker as if adrenaline kicked in all of a sudden. No real loose there was another and he turned his focus to the wizard not really caring who he caught.

But then came the singing. Not just that it had been enhanced by Izumi's luck ability. Lily was going to be awfully lucky for a bit and as it were she was lucky that a troll did not have incredible will power.

He slowed hearing the echo of the enchanted song bouncing off of the walls, another lucky break?

What sealed the deal was that the troll smashed into the ground, weary and nearly asleep. Up ahead was a passage way too narrow for the troll to pass through.

Lily heard the troll collapse and stopped, looking for Izume who was a ways behind her. She kkept singing and gestured for Izume to catch up. She wasn't going to leave the girl behind. For some reason, she felt like Izume wasn't just a figment of her sleeping mind, but a real person sharing her dream.
