Huffing and puffing Izumi was able to catch up. She looked back as she ran seeing the troll on the ground drawing in deep heavy breaths as it fought off complete sleep. Now they had a decision to make. Back the way they came or forward towards the passage ahead of them into the unknown.

"Thank you! I think it's not going to be a problem for a little bit. Should we go where it can not reach us?”

She pointed to the passage ahead.

Trakh had driven the two girls this way but not on purpose. He had not pressed into this part of the caves all too often.

It was a rare thing that he moved through the orc controlled areas of the cave and the way the passage narrowed ahead he would have figured that a humanoid of some sort called it home. Something man sized or smaller from the likes of it.

Eventually though he fell asleep unable to resist the lullaby completely as it washed over him.

"I'm thinking those orcs are still looking for us. Let's try our luck going this way," Lily said, gesturing towards the passage ahead. "If anything attacks us, I can try to lop its head off."

“Sounds like a plan.” Izumi glanced over her shoulder at the way they had just come where they left the troll somewhere in the darkness. Eventually their friend was going to drop and that area area was going to be chalk full of orcs.

She leads her way into the passage squeezing her way along in some places.

The passage eventually leads into a huge chamber. There is a ceiling somewhere over their heads beyond the source of their light as well as the chamber extending on either sire to the limits of their vision. There was a lake in this room somewhere as well as other passages that were much larger that they had yet to discover.

The cavern was littered with bones of several creatures and by the looks of it they were orc bones, some goblin bones too.

But her luck held strong for the time being anyway though now she felt as if she was being watched.

Eventually they find the lake and a huge web, one of many that has the cockkned bodies of beings, more .ike.y than not orcs.

The feeling of being watched only grew until a sticky strand fires from the darkness hitting Izumi in the shoulder and jerking her up into the sky.

Lily, being as musically inclined as she was, had a very strong sense of hearing. She heard the strand as it was shot, but she was too slow to push Izume to safety. Instead the best she could do was grab Izume's hand and try with all her might to keep her new friend from being taken away by whatever monster was attacking. Out the corner of her eye, she saw coccoons and webbing, but for some reason she couldn't quite add those clues up. Probably because she was too preoccupied trying to save Izume.

“AHH!” The attack had startled her more than hurt, her right shoulder forcing her arm bark then reeled it forward but that moment, just a little bit, had been enough for Lily was blessed with all manners of luck and managed to grab hold of her hand.

Luck held out … this thing was not strong enough to reel both girls up at the same time it seemed and with all her might she clung on.

“Don't let go!”

Wretched brat! Aria cursed from her position on the ceiling. The spider like being was caught up in a tug of war. The pair together were just a little to heavy for her to lift and with this constant tug of war there was something that had to give and in this case it was Izumi's robe or at least the shoulder portion of it tore and ripped away as the strand had been reeled up into the darkness.

But at the same time her children emerged from the shadows. Some descended from the ceiling on strands of silk, others scurried forth along the floor towards them.

Spiders, no Demons! Maybe something else seeing that each was about half the size of a house cat with a tiny, human-like head with eight eyes emerging from it. This head had mandibles too and the creatures looked like sick jokes of humans and spiders combined.

"Maybe we should have tried our luck with the orcs," Lily said. "Run or fight?" (Are these spiders intent on sex or food?)

Indeed, dealing with the orcs had probably been best at this stage as she sees the swarm of spider-like creatures emerging towards them. Shit! Her robe hangs loosely over her shoulder, blue eyes cast out as these things appear.

She realizes that she has been limiting herself. If this truly was a dream then there were things she should be able to do that she normally couldn't. While she new plenty of Abjurations she called upon the mighty magics of Invocation as she tries to bring forth a gout of flame.

(both, food once their amusements end)

some of the spiders get blasted as Izumi breaks out of her mold but others keep coming, each spitting a stream of webbing from their mouths at them, to snare them up and tangle them further even then they could only pull the girl's toward them though their shots allowed mother to fire from the darkness on the ceiling as they attempted to drive her into Aria's shoots.

Lily dodged one shot after another, backing towards Izume. "I think we should run back the way we came. With any luck the troll will still be out cold."

“No argument there!” She fried some more of the creepy spiders though her luck was not enhanced. She was struck again and again, pieces of her robe taring though the smaller spiders had little power and it was only that initial contact akin to a shove causing her to stagger back, the strands beginning to become a nuisance as multiple spiders worked in concert but she burn the flames.

She supposed the spiders wanted her to dodge so that the larger one had an easier time of it but Lily, still blessed by luck avoided all the spiders large and small.

Tossing up a wall of flame she ran back with Lily hoping to get out of this mess.

Indeed Trakh was still out of it. Snoring heavily as Lily passes but as Izumi tries it's eyes suddenly snap open and a large meaty claw seals about her ankle as he growls and jerks her off of her feet, a growl that is answered by something else in the darkness, another troll perhaps?

Having escaped the spider's den with Izume, Lily ran with her back past the troll. She heard a quick scuffle behind her and stopped, doing a full turn-about and drawing her sword in time to see the troll lifting Izume off the ground. Wasting no time, Lily ran in with her sword and stabbed at the troll's armpit in an attempt to cripple his arm so he would be forced to drop her friend.
