It was a terrible, helpless sensation. Without her magic, she wouldn't be able to free herself and escape with Bria. Indirectly, she'd done just as Birch had asked, and chosen to free one of them. Fenris would have to stay with the monster, but at least Bria wouldn't suffer the same fate.
