Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
“Your welcome,” the rules in this place were different of course. While he could create clothes normally it was her strong belief in what he could do that gave him the power to do it just as if she believed he couldn't he couldn't tap into that feature but for her to believe, to truly believe that his magic was beyond his skill though that would take a great deal of doing, even if she had no memory of him at all she would believe that magic was in the realm of possibility and it would take an entire disbelief in magic.

He looked to the charred corpses and nodded. “Since this is a false memory your mind will forget everything until now. This is one of your memories now that I am here but the prior stuff shall fade in a few days at most, well most of it should save for any major details.”

At least, in theory this should have been the case from all that he had studied, in practice he did not deal with such a situation as imparting false memories on a subject, he had access to a great many Enchantments though to beguile the mind.

“There is no trouble at all. You seem to have had the worse of it in any case, I just had to show up.”
Abdul explained and doing so was no choir on his part. He would do so and continue to do so when he felt that something was wrong.

“The Blue Shrine … interesting … these negotiations will fall apart I'm afraid and your opportunity to get one of the four Paraelementalists alone will fail if not done soon once they realize what Tori has figured out already …

“The Blue Shrine is a lock vault of magical treasures, anyone opening it would obtain that immense power that was locked away an age ago. The keys were the serpents of air, earth, fire and water. The wielder of air was opposed to the earth wielder and water opposed with fire so they would not work together to open the shrine.

“Fast forward a few hundred years and Tori wished to use prisoners but had to use the best and acquiring replacements for those of your skill would take time, she would have to acquire those that had the skill to succeed you, those that could summon the serpents, even for a few seconds would show they had the eventual skills.

“Now Tori has reasoned that the Paraelements can unlock the shrine too given that they have all four elements to draw upon and can summon serpents too. This probably has not occurred to the Paraelements, everything written is about the elements after all but Tori will get Bryne thinking and he will open the shrine on his own rather than share power unless she can make it rather inconvenience for them. She has lost Nicodemus so she has lost a powerful ally, of course they probably do not know this and it may hold them back for the time being but I have no doubts that they will seek to betray them.”

Abdul paused in his assessment of matters. “If they can be dealt with though you'll have bought yourself a few weeks before Tori could hope to get replacements in which time you will have to defeat her and Nicodemus will have in recovering.

“I could assist in neutralizing one or two of the Paraelementals but you would have to get me, the situation is a bit embarrassing but I am stuck for the time being, nothing I can't manage to get out of in time, being an immortal I am patient but with time being of the essence it would be easier for you to come the J'zar.

“I am not on Brindel though I'll explain it all too you … that is what delayed me a little from getting her straight away, quite frankly I'm surprised it worked but I constructed the link between use very carefully.”

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
"I'm relieved that'll be the case, I would rather not retain this particular memory alongside the few I've gathered since my memories have been suppressed." Naturally they had to pursue the recovery of her memories sooner or later, but in the meantime more pressing matters demanded their attention and with Willow out of the equation Flame had to wait for Nicodemus to fully recover before he might have a chance to accomplish that goal.

In a sense forgetting about the whole incident would be preferable considering that Typhoon supplied the memory and must've been the one to assault her, threatening her with a dagger up against her throat, drastically altering her view on the rather easygoing mage.

Needless to say even in the continuous struggle against evil did the young sorceress choose to spare him rather than make him pay for his atrocities, but that was before the abhorrent scene unfolded in ever greater terror prior to the arrival of her father, allowing for the nubile red head to grasp the gravity of the situation at hand. Perhaps he never truly abandoned his path and stuck around with the lowly bandits to this day, something that hadn't appeared to be impossible, but overall their pleasant first meeting had left an impression and she wouldn't seek to jeaopardise their at least temporary alliance against the witch by viewing him in that light.

Still, if Flame didn't know the man in the slightest, she would have been compelled to hunt him down and hold him accountable for his actions.

"I understand." Time was of the essence and while she listened intently as Abdul explained circumstances to the best of his ability given his existing knowledge on the Forgotten Four, his daughter hadn't asked any more questions than necessary. Neither Tori nor them could be allowed to access the Blue Shrine and they had to act swiftly before Bryne caught wind of their possibilities in that regard.

The coming weeks were going to decide whether their adversary would manage to overcome the obstacles provided by her former prisoners although Flame hadn't known how Nicodemus was going to recover throughout these days. His kind didn't sleep nor rest from what she could tell, but she would most certainly try to allocate the necessary ressources in his favor which might grant him the strength to defeat her.

"With Spencer and an Angel by our side I'm certain we could probably manage to reach J'zar within the hour in case we set out for Sirocco straight away." She paused, considering the assembly back in Brindel where the others were at the time. "Of course I will have to relay your proposition to them first and let them make up their mind, but I doubt they should have anything against picking you up unless they deem their strategy good enough to succeed without your help."

Somehow his notion on being stuck got her thinking, not that she could make any sense of the phrasing which pointed out that he wasn't on Brindel when in reality he had to be in order to meet them, but he already stated that in time he would explain. "I would need to know where to find you, however, you never really told me where exactly you are."

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Fire and water were opposites and yet there had been no animosity between her and Typhoon. In fact as she recounted that first fateful meeting he could have taken advantage of her then, if it had been his intention. Either he must have feared repercussions from their jailor or had not been interested … was his shape shifting natural? Could he have done it even with the collar still on?

One thing seemed clearer, that he was able to command or communicate with the rats, that was why he kept getting harmonica or the tools to make crude ones though there was no evidence that he had retained any tools the Goblins grew sick in taking the simple instrument off him all the time.

In the memory Typhoon did not have any elemental magic either so his mastery of the element had to have changed him in some way, it was an earlier memory, possibly only a few years old since he did not appear much younger than he was now.

But listening to her father explain the politics of the situation as he understood it he nodded at her.

“Of course, bending their idea of how to handle the situation … there could even be some merit in being captured again too. Your the keys to opening the shrine, the Paraelementals are keys as well, keys that Tori won't need if she had the others though once it is open you'd need someone else to sweep in to take possession of it and I'm assuming she has a good many of her minions there so that might not be practical.

“But as of my location … I am on the Shadow of Nod. It is a rather long story but you can get to it through the City Within a City at J'zar. All you must do is open a door, I cannot open it from this side, not yet anyway, and while you could Shadow-walk to Nod itself the directions are easier if you simply trace the path, it gets rather complicated otherwise, you'll see.”

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Initially Flame suspected that she might have been imprisoned for committing atrocious deeds and only the spell suppressing her memories prevented her from drawing upon these memories in the first place, extending the reign of fear for ever disspelling the Enchantment entailed the full recovery of these vivid scenes which the sorceress expected to find amidst her mind. Perhaps not recalling them at all proved beneficial in the long run, at least that's what she thought back then, but even if her assumptions were true then being unaware of her true nature wouldn't purge the suffering she caused.

Typhoon might've changed since then and while he remembered his criminal past with utmost clarity, altering his mindset and perhaps feeling regret over such events alone did not excuse his actions, no matter what caused him to avert his path from robbery and murder. Their pleasant time and reliance on each other merely made hating the man that much harder.

"It's alright, I trust your word and will set out to J'zar instead of travelling there directly should the others agree." Abdul was her father and an immortal being, more than enough to depend on his wisdom on the technicalities of their upcoming journey. "What exactly are we looking for in the City Within a City? I imagine Whitney could show us the way unless what we're looking for is rather easy to find and simple to access without causing too much trouble."

While the crimson haired maiden was looking forward to seeing him again it would be rather awkward to arrive with the sheer abundance and variety of her companions in tow, not that they had any time to chat in regards to the urgency of their task. Perhaps when the more pressing matters were dealt with she could head to J'zar and stop by on her own rather than trouble him with the great many newcomers by her side though they should probably travel in one small group regardless in case the Efreeti were keeping an eye out for them in favor of their alliance with the witch.

"I don't recall the Shadow of Nod, unfortunately .. We haven't seen to my suppressed memories yet due to rather unpleasant circumstances, but that's not important now. With your directions we should be able to navigate our way to the door you speak of, but from what I gather it's not an ordinary door considering that you've gotten yourself stuck on the other side."

Flame flashed an amused smile at that, wondering how he of all people managed to find himself unable to overcome the obstacle in his path. "Once we're there, how would we manage to open it?"

“You will have to grab someone that could shorten your trip in some fashion unless you wish for it to take months. Still, I doubt I would be free in that time,” he grinned and she would have to grab Spencer or someone else that could walk the Shadows to form a short cut on points on this one.

“Whitney can direct you. He knows where I went too and what I was attempting to accomplish here.

"The Hidden Drink … he will supply you directions to it but be careful of Rene, she is the one who has locked me here. I let my guard down and had believed that she was with the resistance but that is obviously not the case. Still you will need her key to access Nod and may have to steal it, confronting her directly may make her suspicious.”

He gave her a nod. “It's not an ordinary door, no, but I cannot seem to get out from this side. The thing is I accomplished my objective here too seeing that there was nothing else to do save for figure a way out now.

“Once you are on Nod you only have to use that key from Renee, there is nothing special about opening the door, do not pass through the portal though, else you risk being stuck here too.”

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Flame shook her head, returning his grin with one of her own though she honestly hadn't expected to free him from imprisonment when embarking on the adventure selflessly provided by Typhoon. "You won't have to wait months, father. I'm currently in the company of someone who can wander the Shadows without difficulty and he'll probably help me out should I ask for his services."

They were likely to travel in the same arrangement as before, Roc and Spencer by her side due to her inability to shrink herself down to a fraction of her former self whereas the two of them could become invisible while the young sorceress could not, allowing them to steal the key with ease for as long as the presence of the Faerie Dragon went by unnoticed. Without the Dwarf they might've been able to keep an even lower profile than they already had, but his abilities and protection amidst the settlement from J'zar from any unwelcome intrusions of the local populace were more than necessary to reach her father.

Meeting up with Whitney should prove relatively easy by comparison unless Jamal himself might've become suspicious in face of their sudden disappearance from the City Within the City, they simply had to mull things over on their way there and might have to sneak in the way they'd gotten out the first time around unless the windows were closed that time as well.

"Very well, I might have to resort to stealing the key in order to save time, but it shouldn't be much of an issue unless she can see someone who has gone invisible." Abdul himself possessed that power, experienced by his daughter first hand while he resided in her mind and there would be little point in trying to take it from her in that way.

Something about that had bothered the nubile red head, wondering why he had been imprisoned in the first place other than his apparant sympathy for the established resistance in the very town she lived, but perhaps leaving the technicalities up to her father would be best for the time being.

Only then did Flame rise from the log, preparing for her departure from the realm of her mind. "Unless there is anything else I need to know which Whitney might be unaware of, I should probably get going."

“I do not mind having to wait, though the sooner the better. I am in no danger of dying and my time is spent trying to work out a solution so my interests are reserved for solving this situation I find myself in now.” He grinned, he was immortal and in no rush like the typical humans. Being taking out of circulation for a little while had been like receiving a vacation.

“I am uncertain if she can see invisibility, at least permanently. Detecting invisible things is a simple incantation but unless one has cause to use it one normally doesn't … I just found it convenient to make seeing invisible things permanent, it helps a lot after all. But seeing things as I do, unlikely, through a Divination? Possible.”

He stood too and shook his head. “News about Renee will be a surprise to him but other wise there is nothing I can think of. Unfortunately I can only contact you while you are asleep. And at any time I choose now that I have figured out how to do so from here … I will have to come up with a means for you using something similar but I do not sleep so we will have to work on some sort of Telepathy but that will wait for now.”

Getting back to her reality was easy enough, her eyes fluttering open as she willed it. Typhoon was sitting worried nearby and Spencer was at her side, if not for their little talk earlier and Typhoon's presence he might have been doing something Fae-like or rather perverted.

“Welcome back. How did it go?”

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Despite her fondness for Abdul his daughter had been standing in awe of the colossal male rather than embrace him in appreciation of his heroic rescue at the last possible moment, profoundly affected by her suppressed memories whereby not even the knowledge of their past relationship could make up for two suppressed decades of time spent together as a family. She didn't mean to behave as poorly as she did, parting in such a manner under these circumstances without showing him an adequate amount of affection fused her stream of thought with a certain degree of discomfort though surely he would understand her position.

Sooner or later these memories would return and Flame would recall their life thus far, but until then she would have to ease into the situation and her involvement with him at her own pace. "I'll see to your freedom, father, you have my word."

Ultimately the decision laid with the others to an extent though the fiery red head had returned to the familiar scene of the forest seemingly at whim, blinking a few times in the recovery of her senses from her artificially induced slumber. Crimson eyes fell on Spencer, then Typhoon in a fleeting glance before falling back onto the former, dismissing the atrocities of the latter amidst recent events for the time being.

"Not as good as I'd hoped, unfortunately." She began to straighten up, sitting rather than lying down whilst one hand offered added support and another timidly clung to the unusual glass shard from earlier. "I haven't been out of it for long, have I?"

But before settling with such trivialities Flame had assumed a cross legged posture, shifting beside the Fae as the question given unto her caused the nubile sorceress to frown mildly. "Well, I managed to reach out to Abdul and he could be of assistance in dealing with the Forgotten Four, but from what I gather he has been trapped somewhere on the Shadow of Nod and cannot leave anytime soon without interference from the outside."

"A woman he believed to be affiliated with a particular organization he sides with has imprisoned him behind a door he can't open from his side, not at the moment at least." Typhoon didn't know of their journey there and left her to explain things in sparse detail in order to save time. "Unless we set out to retrieve him ourselves we'd leave him stuck there for months on end."

She spoke with determination in mind, emphasizing on the notion of abandoning one of their greater advantages in the struggle for more time even though he may not have known the true meaning behind her words, that he was her father and therefore far more important to the buxom red head than any ordinary man though her main focus remained on Spencer.

"I plan on taking you and Roc with me back to J'zar in order to set him free should our newly devised strategy allow for that sort of undertaking. Abdul explained that the path leading to his current position would be easier to trace from the City Within the City rather than travelling to Nod directly and I need both of you to reach him swiftly among a few other things .. But before that we should consult the others."

Slowly the red haired beauty got up on her feet, standing at full height between the two as she considered his words from earlier. "Abdul warned me that Bryne might see through whatever the witch is planning and would rather seek the power of the Blue Shrine for himself than share it with Tori by the time he realizes their capability of accessing the powers within. Sooner or later the negotiations will fail and we shouldn't lose any more time until we can safely say that neither of them can access it."

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
She had returned to the forest after departing from her father, though Typhoon could not hold her gaze when she looked at him briefly. He had an idea at what she had gone through and while matters were likely to have been different from what they had been the premises would have had similar results.

For the time being he said nothing though as she turned her focus back on Spencer as he answered the question.

“No, just a few minutes ...”
time here had past slower. It seemed as if the Reflecting Glass induced memories were like a dream where months or years could have whizzed by in a short span of time. It did not take long for her distress to come up and fortunately for her Abdul was as good as he was to figure out how to access her mind so quickly given that he was cute off in Nod, or was suppose to be for he remained confident that he could figure something out.

“Nod … he would be of help against the Forgotten Four if they are as powerful as mentioned.”

“You were just there. At Nod at least. It is the only Shadow that we can all travel to when we sleep. We can also reach Nod in the normal sense too. Your dreams, my dreams, everyone's dreams go to Nod.

“I hear that there is a great multitude of doors there, one for each dreamer and you can enter into someone's dream by moving through the door so I'm assuming that he was in someone's dream and got stuck in it. A dreamer cannot leave their dream but can change it so if the doorway into one is closed it fades until open again I surmise … I wonder if the door is
kept open if someone could be lead out though I imagine if they left their own dream they would just wake up and their rescuer would be in Nod.” Typhoon was theorizing it, he had never considered the matter though upon questioning why Abdul was in another's dream he had two answers that were likely, of course he had not lived as long as the Immortal but Typhoon was brilliant and could string together clues.

That was a little amusing to Spencer that someone wandering in someone's dream had been so easily stymied by a closed door. He grinned then shook his head. “We can be back their within an hour, I can speed in up a bit to make it within half an hour we were not in a huge hurry last time.”

[color=#0080FF]“Roc should stay,”
Typhoon added. “From what I gathered when we were prisoners he was a soldier. If the Forgotten Four move on the Blue Shrine he will be better than I or Gale in making militant decisions.

“By virtue of her age Gale could add a thing or two though I hardly have any experience. So by default I would be amongst the worse with dealing with confrontation or thinking up a battle strategy. We can pose that to the others though, in the event that something does happen they may want someone capable of thinking of these things away encase whatever thy go with doesn't work Roc can try to come up with something after the fact.”

She probably didn't want to travel with him so he left her an out here to show that their had been no hard feelings if she seized it.

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Flame wasn't taken aback by his initial reaction to her fleeting glance in his direction, undoubtedly well aware of what she encountered in the darker excerpt of his sinister past and not commenting on the transpired events in the slightest spoke more than thousand words in regards to her overall experience back then.

"Oh?" He brought some much needed clarity on the subject of the Shadow of Nod, however, taking her thoughts elsewhere as she thought about his predicament with a little more knowledge on the matter. "Well, I haven't recovered my memories yet so I know little to nothing about Nod in the first place."

"Apparantly the woman, Renee, is in possession of a key which can access Nod and open the door preventing his escape. I'm guessing that she sleeps rarely or not at all considering that he would require months to free himself without assistance, but that might be deliberate as you have pointed out unless I'm getting things jumbled again and once the dreamer departs from the dream that dream remains closed forever and Renee falling asleep again is not in any way related to his freedom, but I wouldn't know. I do not fully understand the technicalities of Nod nor do I remember anything about it since my memories have been suppressed, but what Abdul told me should prove sufficient to free him."

Crimson eyes returned to Spencer, nodding in acknowledgement of the time they needed to travel from one Shadow to the other. "We will have to see to Whitney beforehand, he knows where Abdul was headed and should be able to help us trace his path."

Neither Flame nor Typhoon were versed in the realm of battle and while the Fire Elementalist might've been the strongest of the four she barely participated in combat before being forced to in her struggle to obtain the feather which restored Nicodemus fully.

"I agree, Roc might be more useful here than anywhere else." She mulled over the matter in her mind, reasoning that taking Gale along would defeat the purpose of keeping a low profile in case any of the less reserved males approached them and she didn't manage to keep her temper in check. "But I need someone capable of casting a reduction spell, preferably a man considering the people who roam the streets of J'zar seem less than modest in the presence of women and thus far I don't think anyone other than Roc can do so."

Spencer might've been able to cast it himself although without someone else by her side the lecherous orcs and others of their kind would undoubtedly make a move on the buxom red head, even more Jamal seeing the look in his eyes prior to their departure for the City Within the City, making any travel on her own a gamble of sorts, especially in the evening as they were now when the less honest folk were leaving the streets. "I would travel with you two in case either of you know the spell or someone can teach us how it's done in a short period of time. We're probably less efficient in battle than them and I'd rather not undermine our goal here by taking Roc along."

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Typhoon had been thinking on the predicament before hand. “It's likely that this Renee has a key that accesses a dreamer's dream. Most of the doors at Nod are unlocked from what I've studied. You may enter a dream and when it ends you are expelled to the same area on Nod you entered into it at.

“I think he must be locked in a dream where the dreamer will not awaken from. Someone in a coma or induced sleep. There was probably a reason that they did not want the individual targeted at all and sealed away access to him. Renee either did it herself or stole the key from someone I'm guessing. And Abdul needed to make contact with this person for whatever reason and got locked inside this never ending dream. At lest that is my best guess of the matter.”

Typhoon reasoned this though he could be wrong too but in a nutshell that's how he saw it.

“Alright then,” Spencer nodded. The City Within a City would be easy enough to infiltrate he thought though whoever thought of hiding a city in a city was clever. Walking the Shadow was convenient and walking between points on that Shadow made short cuts. Brindel and Sirocco were on the same Shadow but he could fashion a short cut between the countries by similar means narrowing down their journey from a month or two to a half hour or so, clearly it was a quick way to travel.

Spencer did not know the spell, just minor illusions for the most part and a few prismatic effects that he was yet to use. Typhoon grinned though. “There has been no need for me to learn the spell but it is a rather minor one and I can learn it in five minutes or so and it's counter about as long.” Talk about a fast learner.

“I would need to see Roc use it once or consult any notes on the spell. So, my first adventure since leaving the prison … my first in about two years … now Sirocco ...” He rubbed his chin as he considered a persona to adopt for this matter, one beginning to take shape in his head.

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Unsurprisingly Typhoon professed his ability to learn the spell they needed within mere minutes and considering his rapid advance in the realm of elemental arts Flame didn't even remotely doubt that notion. He must've been an extraordinarily fast learner and the memory she had witnessed aside, someone she felt lucky to know by her side in the coming weeks.

"Good, then it is settled unless the others see any reason not to let us go through with our plan." Spencer for their travels and Typhoon for relative safety and much needed knowledge, not that the lecherous beasts were going to be intimated by him as much as the Dwarf previously though he would have to suffice for the duration of their trip. At least they didn't have to stay there for long, lacking the ability to transmute ordinary stones into gemstones without her former companion would've been a major setback otherwise, the young woman left in the belief that he reshaped rather than transported them since he never brought much light on the matter.

Flame would've preferred to travel alongside Spencer alone rather than the two of them at once, not solely due to her experience with the human's past, but rather since the buxom maiden wished to discuss the plans they'd made the other day and if they were still going to travel together once they weren't caught up in their quest here. Naturally he did see the sorceress fully naked for more than three seconds, fulfilling her part of their arrangement in a sense, but for the moment decided to keep the subject for later.

Once the Paralementals were dealt with they wouldn't have to press on with little respite for several weeks, something she was looking forward to as it brought some semblance of normality into everyday life.

Unless either of them had anything else to discuss, Flame handed over the artifact before slowly making her way back to the three others of their assembly, wondering how they were going to take the news although surely such a powerful ally as Abdul couldn't be left behind.

“I should go. I've been their before and know the terrain.” Nicodemus looked to the Dwarf and simply shook his head …

“He makes a point. Your assistance is better spent here assisting us with the problem at hand -”

“Why bother? You want your revenge, sure, I get that but there's nothing in it for us.”

“Save for thwarting Tori from getting a hold of a source of power in which she could wreck havoc.”

“Regardless, if the Paraelementals get involved we will certainly need Abdul's help. Roc, teach Typhoon the spell so that he may join Flame.”

It had been resolved. Typhoon learned the spell in sort order and the three of them soon traveled to J'zar though Typhoon cloaked himself in the illusion of a muscular man with a thin mustache, turban, scimitar and attire in fashion with Sirocco as far as his readings had detailed and while not current Flame had seen people at J'zar last time in similar clothes so the style was not too outdated, uncommon perhaps.

Money had not seemed to matter to them as Spencer hurried through their short cut to the outskirts of J'zar.

“My a settlement like this and no oasis ...”
Typhoon did not see one though the answer was a simple one, not that he couldn't feel it the closer they got to the city. “Ah, there is a sizable water supply beneath the city … hm, alright I think we have a bit of time to discuss any sort of game plan before we arrive we have a few minutes.”

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Strangely enough departing on another daring adventure didn't affact the red haired sorceress nearly as much as the neglected sentiment of adoration in the presence of her beloved, stealing occasional glimpses of the Angel whenever she deemed the moment appropriate and none were paying attention to the buxom woman standing by the sidelines, paying only minor attention to the teachings of the reduction spell considering that even in the rare glances that weren't directed at the sturdy Dwarf and his temporary student she didn't think that any of the obtained knowledge would remain in her memory. He simply proved to be too fast of a learner for that.

Leaving them entailed leaving Nicodemus and even though Flame would much rather embrace him at least once before setting out for Sirocco, she refrained from showing him any degree of affection for the sake of their common goal. Everyone had their burden to carry in these crucial hours which may or may not decide the fate of the witch and their own and she wasn't an exception in that regard.

Saving Abdul came first and thus heading for J'zar had been her task to fulfill, soon travelling alongside Spencer and Typhoon to the warmth of the desert though she heard that throughout the night even the endless plains of sand would cool down drastically, wondering whether this continent would share in that thought.

Crimson eyes settled on the male by her side as he donned an illusion prior to their arrival. His altered appearance would help to keep the less temperate inhabitants at bay although beneath the fabricated image of a local had been the same man as before, hoping that someone who could see through the disguise wouldn't call them out along the way and complicate matters. "It has already made me uncomfortable during the day. We should be quick about it lest we'll find out what the night will bring."

She thought over their plan as they walked, contemplating their priorities. "Our first order of business would be getting into the City Within the City. From what I gather there are only two ways inside, either straight through the front door of Jamal's domain or the window of the room where the City itself resides."

"Jamal is what you might call the keeper of the City, he will grant us access upon conveying a password of sorts, but I'm afraid he'd rather add me to his harem than discuss business again, especially since Roc and I vanished without a trace the last time we were here. We should be careful when we meet him, unless his doors are already closed at this hour."

"The window on the other hand leads into a back alley and should be easy to access once we shrink ourselves down and let Spencer carry us there, but chances are they've locked it up since our departure quite a few days ago which might hinder our progress. At the same time it would certainly serve as the most inconspicuous way inside."

At least Flame thought those were their possibilities, not that she minded alternatives. "Whichever way we choose, once inside we'll meet up with Whitney, the mayor. He should have the information we need in regards to Abdul's whereabouts, he said something about a Hidden Drink as well which I premuse he might've used to induce sleep or partake of a particular dreamer's dream."

Whitney would know, without a doubt, it shouldn't be too difficult to trace her father's steps with his help and do exactly what he did. Unfortunately without knowledge on Renee's home they couldn't split up to achieve their goals even quicker. "We'll have to obtain the key from Renee beforehand, but I would like to refrain from seeing to her personally as to not arouse any suspicion and just steal the object in order to save time, although I'm not sure if sending you in alone, Spencer, would be such a good idea. She might be able to see you in your invisible form and I don't know what would happen then, after all she managed to imprison an Efreeti."

Flame nodded towards Typhoon then before concluding her thoughts on the matter. "I suppose our plan is getting inside the City Within the City, consulting with Whitney to find out where Renee lives and where we may find Abdul, stealing the key and using it once I managed to gain access to Nod in order to free him."

Post Re: Blue Shrine (for Ryu)
Simple enough. Typhoon brought a hand to his chin as he quickly analyzed all the pitfalls that they were likely to face but with all their skills working together this should be a breeze at least up to going into Nod itself.

“I see. Nothing too difficult. I can get us into the building. This Jamal character seems to be someone we should avoid altogether if possible any way. The key should be easy enough to get but I'll know a little more once we are in the city. Depending how it was shrunk will tell me a great deal though I'm suspecting nothing elaborate. First things first let's see Whitney.”

She got a few stares from Half Orcs, the lewd creatures they were and a group of them even approached at one stage though seemed to think better of the option with a causal gesture from Typhoon which she could only imagine was some form of Enchantment or Compulsion of some sort.

They got to the building in question and sure enough the window was locked. Typhoon used a simple Divination first as he inspected the window …

“It's not magically sealed but it is trapped. If the window is opened a mechanism is tripped, I can see how it is trapped but not what the mechanism is attached to. Good eyes,” he pointed and grinned. “Step back, this will be a synch.”

Once they were far enough back another enchantment had broken his form up to water that creep along the wall. He was more like an ooze than actual water and squeezed through the cracks of the window taking shape inside and inspecting the trap from inside, notably the ceiling. It seemed that something feel or swung down from there though it was just as likely that opening the window armed the trap.

After a few minutes where Typhoon effortlessly conjured magically hands that flew to the ceiling to manipulate the device which she found was a scythe blade he opened the window, the three able to make their way to the model after Typhoon closed the window.

“So this is it, the fabled City Within a City, well, I was only told of it recently.”
He gazed down at it inspecting a point that they could access the city with little effect and saw that their was a park.

“Unless there is anything that needs to be done before hand, shall we?”
