Post Re: Bad Medicine (for Ania)
Nothing stalked her upon fleeing the scene, the creature either fought off or succumbed to the inflicted wounds although her arm wasn't worth much anymore considering that her fingers went numb while trying to actively move them. Furthermore her heart would be endagered sooner than suffering an attack on the right side where the notion of running out of time wouldn't be nearly as depressing, but following the Venir had only guided her deeper into the dense treelines.

Skipping from root to root proved challenging, but most certainly safer and quicker than clumsily wading through the water any longer and moving at a brisk pace rewarded her with staying above the surface without falling into the muddy sludge once more.

Shortly after Scorch chanced upon an unusual find, crudely constructed wooden platforms extended along her path which were leading her further into the unknown whereas the previously lush growth gradually diminished in her passing though the prospect of stumbling across anything besides wilderness proved rather reassuring. Given the distance covered ever since encountering the natives they might not even have a settlement here which would be beneficial for someone in her condition.

She emerged in an extensive clearing which almost disrupted the monochrome sight of the swamp, the climate hotter around here than the area left behind in her wake and yet far from unbearable. Venir scattered about, paying the newcomer little mind for the human female wasn't anywhere near suitable for their rather timid stature, but perhaps they had other reasons entirely which she couldn't discern with certainty.

A singular tree stood proudly amidst the center of the clearing which must've been ancient judging by appearance alone, covered in a plethora of vines and smaller plantlife which entwined the lavish bark in a futile attempt to usurp the impressive marvel of nature, exceeding even the diameter of her own ship while the crown in itself cast shadows across the serene scenery.

The wooden path led to an elevated, solid surface surrounded by ample rivers, the flow calm and collected while lacking the horrors in the flesh Scorch had witnessed earlier. Smooth stones were buried amidst the dirt and moss which upon closer inspection served as some sort of makeshift staircase, ascending to a smaller platform further up.

Sweet fragrances were filling her lungs with every breath upon reaching the top which offered up the sight of a small altar fashioned from material akin to rosewood, partially submersed in the growth beyond. A thin trail of smoke ascended to the heavens above, emanating from the single lit stick placed within a receptacle attached to the side, seemingly serving little purpose other than slowly eroding.

Beyond that, however, the Jewel of Vena resided in an unchallenged beauty and matched the description she was given, the lush flower pod blooming in a flamboyant plethora of various colors while the roots alone visibly spread across most of the elevation, securing the ample growth. Seeping from inbetween petals had been a yellowish liquid, the sweet scent growing stronger in their closeness though the former pirate had to make a decision here quick as to what to do next considering that the poison threatened to disable her entire left side, surely affected less severely in the long run than the native lifeforms unless they sought to bring their prey down at a crawl.

That was the sweet scent of success! The Venir were not aggressive as far as she could tell as they fluttered around the skies. The heat was not so bad for her save for her exposed injured arm her suit provided her with environmental regulators that kept her comfortable.

Was this a holy sight? She saw the alter and the path and was impressed by the enormous tree but other than a casual glance about herself and the terrain she hurried forth. Her arm had stopped bothering her by this stage, there was no pain just a numbness and she knew that that was indeed bad. Had the poison spread too far? Did this miracle plant even work?

It was her only chance and perhaps that was what made her less cautious as she rushed forward. She dropped to her knees amongst the flower and used her good arm to wrench of her helmet feeling the heat against her face.

One more problem …

She wiggled her pack off with difficulty but never thought she would need to take the plant herself. If she had more time … Mercer was strict with his deadline though and she clearly did not get to prepare like she would have liked.

“How do you use it?”
Did she have to eat it? Boil the roots? Crush the leaves? Smear it on like a paste? She could boil some water with a little work to the status chamber she had brought to collect her sample though with her left arm paralyzed she had to manage to get her right gauntlet off to generate a flame to boil the water … damn …

She began simply by collecting some and eating it, next she would try to rub some of that sap onto the wound doing what she could since she did not read just how to prepare it. With her luck it had to be mixed with something else but seeing that she did not know what she was doing this was a start ...

Ingesting the unknown plant material yielded barely any result aside from the realisation that the growth itself hadn't tasted nearly as sweet and memorable as the fragrance lingering around the shrine and leaking flower pod, emanating an unusually bitter tanginess throughout consuming minor quantities of the Jewel which happened to reveal the extraordinary restorative properties to an extent considering that the plant began to slowly regenerate the severed pieces before her very eyes.

Harvesting slight measures of the syrupy substance and spreading it across the meanwhile wicked looking gash rewarded Scorch with a sharp stinging sensation, seemingly searing the lacerated flesh upon establishing the slightest contact, letting her know that something happened at least due to the pain which had been shooting through her nerve ends and trasmitted directly to her brain.

Drawing her attention to the punctured wound the human female would find that once the intense burn subsided the yellow liquid had been absorbed by her body or rather transmuted in order to suit the peachy skin, sealing the previously aching tissue with itself until there was nothing left of the distressing injury, leaving neither scars nor marks in the process.

Slowly but surely the searing warmth ascended along her arm, gradually relieving her limb of numbness. It appeared to cleanse her system of the poison, initially leaving her tingling in the lessened potency of the venomous injection before causing the effect to vanish completely. Surely mixing the sap with something else could've prevented the fierce warmth from pestering her senses with pain, but in the end it seemed preferable to suffering a slow and potentially agonizing death should it have managed to reach her vital organs.

Nothing could compare to the sheer euphoria pulsing through her veins upon indulging in the blessed fluid, her spirit elated several long moments after observing the unnatural regeneration before the mood suddenly plummetted and left Scorch sapped of any energy reserves. Her vision had become blurry and her head spun with every motion, simply reaching for her remaining belongings threatened to throw her off balance.

Comparable to a drunken state or experiencing the effects of mind altering drugs she found herself struggling with the simplest maneuvers which had been merely enhanced by the surrounding trail of smoke nearby, invoking faint traces of nausea for the time being though anyone could tell by now that something wasn't right.

Much to her misfortune someone else had arrived on the scene, emerging from the edge of the clearing and graced by a metallic shimmer, unsullied by the surrounding swamps with hues of blue inbetween although from a distance and in her condition it proved rather difficult to tell.

Eating it did not prove to have any results though when he applied it to her wood her eyes widened as she felt the surge of intense pain as if she had pressed a searing brand to her flesh. God, she thought she was going to pass out as an intense heat did not generate from her but rather surged into her.

Dropping forward she grunted in pain rolling onto her back. The plants regenerating around her though it felt like an eternity the wound closes and she can even feel her fingers again feeling the numbness begin to subside.

“Alright!”
She flexes her hand, over joyed that she wasn't about to die and as she prepares to move to collect her bag she is hit by something quite sudden and strong. It feels as if she took a blow to the stomach, everything was spinning about her and blurry now.

Was it too late? Had the venom reached her heart and the plant only erased some of the symptoms and had not worked in that far? Not that it could reach there now. And on top of that there was something approaching. She tried to stand and flicked out the blade on her right gauntlet before crashing to the ground again. So this was how it end? She let out a snicker as she shook her head briefly from side to side as if not believing her luck or rather unluck.

Patience and caution allowed for the unforeseen newcomer to draw near, revealing the characteristics of the natives which laid in her multitude of limbs and an exotic coloration of cerulean waters. Unlike younger specimen she wasn't solely covered in clothing fashioned from local wildlife, but rather an impressive suit of armor which snuggled up against her extraordinary curves and would inevitably lead to the discovery that the supreme huntress had been armed with an actual firearm, tucked in the holster around her waist.

Slowly her tentacles removed the helmet concealing her gorgeous features while ascending the makeshift staircase, always keeping out of her range as azure eyes befall the human female with curiosity in their midst and even though her vision was blurred it cleared up one moment only to vanish in the next, granting her glimpses of the seemingly calm creature, leaving the weapon where it belonged without pouncing Scorch either as though she wasn't considered much of a threat.

She merely observed the sullied suit of armor and noted the removed gauntless nearby, shortly after dipping to the bag and armaments beside the troubled woman whose condition deteriorated slightly further though nothing lethal for the time being. Perhaps her life wasn't endangered after all, the plant confirmed her luck initially though she simply tumbled from one giant mess into another.

Suddenly her somewhat perplexed expression had been replaced by an amused smirk, looking down at the more or less struggling red head below for how much damage could she inflict while lacking the ability to get back on her feet?

"You didn't think of watering down the sap, did you?" She spoke English! Ania encircled the fallen femme fatale with slow, languid steps, stopping briefly after passing Scorch in order to inhale a lungful of smoke and potent sweetness in the air. "Pure life burns brighter than sunshine and can be equally overwhelming. You won't die, but I'd wager that you'll have some trouble putting up a fight for a while, especially since you're human and not one of us."

Another native! Her vision came in and out though this one was older, better armed too and the only weapon she had was the blade on her gauntlet. She lacked the concentration to bring forth a flame and tried to remember everything that she had read about the natives.

It was tough to think, tough to concentrate. She did manage to get on her hands and knees knowing she had to fight but just couldn't manage it at present. Mixing the plant with water … not as hardy … not going to die … her mind tried to make sense of the scattering of words.

Was she being played with by the latest of the natives she recalled that the smaller ones seemed to be delighted over the fact that they got to play with their food. Fortunately she had managed to distract them though judging by this one she doubted she would be so lucky with that same ploy or manage to get very far.

“Please ...”
she gasped out, not thinking of anything else only now had it occurred to her that this one spoke the standard Galactic language that most spacefaring species spoke or at least understood.

Post Re: Bad Medicine (for Ania)
On all fours the human female looked rather pitiful, beads of sweat adorning her forehead in the following moments given the heat and gradually heightened severity of the symptoms invigorating her entirety, nausea among them the strongest which Scorch had to battle with all her might. Lack of strength, headaches, seemingly fever had been thrown into the mix which had turned her into the ideal prey for literally anything which prowled the surroundings swamps.

"Normally I wouldn't bother helping one of my own kind for the sake of learning the lesson themselves." She observed the helpless woman, subtly dancing along her charms in exploration of the unusual find, noting that her chest didn't truly stand out although Ania figured that she was simply getting used to seeing larger ones. "But a human, now that is extraordinary."

Her tentacles began to unfold and reach out to Scorch, one of them wrapping around the blade in her grasp which surprisingly didn't even scratch the formidable huntress, the supple limb strangely metallic should she have tried to cut through whereas another sprouted from her back and swerved around the pair, a needle-like tip dipping toward an exposed vein along her arm. "Hold still."

Further liquid warmth pulsed through the punctured section of skin, shrouding her senses in blessed relief while her bloodstream spread the most recent infusion throughout the remainder of her system, clearly cleansing her physical form of the potent reaction to the sap aside from the feeling of exertion which left her spent and worn, but thankfully without suffering anything else.

Shortly after the needle had been extracted and withdrawn, similarly to the tendril holding onto her blade which wasn't taken away, but rather left in her possession which further emphasized the notion that her savior wasn't afraid of a butter knife considering that her skin seemed impenetrable, yet unbeknownst to her Ania possessed such qualities naturally as did anyone else of her race upon refining their skills long enough. "You can thank me later once you're doing better."

She got seated near the crude shrine for the time being, watching from the corners of her eyes and inspecting the various goodies the human female brought along, but other than that the red haired adventurer was left to her own devices.

“AHHH!” There was a brief heat that surged through her arm at first then nothing, no pain as that liquid flowed through her arm though she was still panting. That tentacle leaving her arm and the gauntlet that extended the blade. Instinctively when she had seized it she had tried to flick her wrist to cut the tendril though the blade failed to cut.

Like a wounded animal it was in her nature to fight but all fight had left her. The creature did not seem to be worried about this though and her words became more apparent as she listened to what was said to her.

The words made more sense to her as coherent thought returned to her mind as she sucked up air, beads of sweet still on her brow.

In her pack was the status chamber, a glass tank that had a self contained environment. It was computerized and could preserve a living sample so that it was in effect frozen in time until removed. Whatever plant life and small animal life was placed in the tank could be preserved. This took up the majority of space in the pack though it had not been the only matter in there.

There was some other basic equipment for digging; a small scoop, a few pots and so one. There was some other basic equipment their too. Rope, a glow rod to shed light given that she had the worse of the two suits sometimes normal and not infrared vision was better but the darkness still had to be dealt with.

Within five minutes though she was feeling a bit better. “Thank you ...” She gasped before sitting up on her knees her eyes flicker to the creature.

“You're not like the other ones.”

She didn't shift from her position and simply resided beside the red head until the human female recovered from her ordeal, bright blue eyes shifting to her by the time Ania figured that Scorch ran into others of her species before. "Not all of them have chosen to embrace life in the capital when they had the chance several years ago."

Tentacles intertwined with themselves and had been laid down on her thighs when the blue huntress turned around, assuming a cross legged posture. "Out here there are fewer rules and places like this simply don't exist anywhere else. Not everyone was willing to distance themselves from their traditions either which is why the swamps aren't anywhere near as safe as Vena, but introducing them to society nowadays wouldn't be any less troublesome."

Her lush lips twisted into a good natured smile. "You should consider yourself lucky that you're alive to tell the tale of your encounter, especially without weapons other than your little razor blade." She didn't even mean to offend anyone, of course, but considering that they healed at such extraordinary rates the notion of her weapon of choice had been a matter of efficiency.

"I don't mean to discourage you, but when I came here in my early days we've considered the area around here nothing more than a playground to hone our skills. They were probably playing with you rather than threatening to take your life." Scorch hadn't encountered any adults along the way, quite possibly traversing the less hostile portion of the more or less inhabitable landmass.

"What are you doing all the way out here anyway?" She landed far from the capital, fooling their scanners prior to embarking on her journey which begged to ask the question what someone would want on the seemingly lifeless planet outside of obtaining the precious metallic alloys the more civilised natives crafted. Naturally the Jewel had been off limits to any outsider, but getting past the walls and into the overgrowth made the nearby human a rather peculiar discovery.

Unlike the remainder of her belongings Ania couldn't make much sense of the stasis chamber, unaware of the true purpose behind the object amidst the things she'd brought along for her knowledge on technology turned out to be fairly limited, but rather than picking it up and exploring the device she had the common courtesy of leaving it where it was. "Excavation, I take it?"

“Yeah, some times I get the feeling my employer wants to kill me off. Bastard.” She shook her head. It was more then that of course but she wasn't going to get caught up on Mercer is she could help it or the fact that he kept blackmailing her to do jobs like this, though this one nearly killed her several times over.

“I had more gear but lost it along the way. These grenades are probably no good now and I lost my rifle and side arm back there,” she hooked a thumb over her shoulder back the way she came. The worse part was that she still had to make it back that way. Her sensors had not picked up any reasonable landing ground nearby that would house here ship save for hear but landing here endangered the very plant she came to harvest.

“But I still have to get off world before I tell anyone of this and am only at the half way point.”
She flexed her hand testing it out and getting out that numbness. She had one real weapon that she thought she would never loose but she was wrong about that as today proved. Mercer would be the death of her one of these days if not today since she was not out of the woods yet or more appropriately the swamp …

“You're kidding, right?”
She shakes her head though the natives she saw were young. “I read that they were cannibals. But it does grant me a bit of comfort since I have to go back that way.”

The fish thing caused her to loose her scanner and without it she risked getting lost if trying an alternate route. Great. She didn't want to press her luck while going back to the Shooting Star though there was not much of a choice in the matter.

It was dangerous to answer seeing how this plant wasn't available on the open market but she'd be damned if she was kept from it now.

“I was in the neighborhood and thought that a lovely stroll through a hostile swamp could be fun, seriously though that jerk Mercer is making me get this plant for him or he's going to dump my sister into the Arena. After all this I would think killing him would be easier if he didn't have a small army to contend with.

“Sad really, it never ends. I'm just bidding my time for now. Now you spoke of a reward. What was it you were interested in? I have little with me though an abundance of things back at my ship.”

Leaving lethal weaponry in the hands of the young might prove troublesome for their helpless prey, but in their established nature as ferocious predators even they wouldn't cause more damage with these armaments than they would with their own bodies. Besides, whether powered by energy or ammunition, either of them would run out sooner or later.

An amusing thought, their world wasn't known by many and outsiders were already spreading the knowledge on their less sophisticated confrontations. "We don't require sustenance often, but larger animals have gotten extremely rare and rivalling tribes tend to fight and devour their fallen foes, no matter what or who they are. We never really eat each other outside of occasional times of hardship and the more aggressive specimen tend to either perish or feed their own people with those who opposed them." She paused, eyes wandering along the clouded skies. "We love to fight, however, and before founding the capital I don't think anyone of my species has reached an age of above thirty due to the great many predators which roam the swamps beside us."

Speaking of her purpose on the planet hadn't pleased Ania even though she wasn't overly attached to her homeworld anymore. Most of the relayed information didn't tell the huntress of Lympha anything beyond her motivation to come, her sister and an arena of some sort played an important role although making her way through hostile territory as merely another human female was indeed impressive.

"You cannot have the Jewel." She announced before rising into an upright posture, establishing her position in favor of the local plantlife. "Roots only grow from the flower pod and despite their restorative properties they alone are not capable of sprouting another flower should anyone try to remove the pod by itself."

"My people have tried cultivating them and failed, either destroying them in the process or planting it once more in the same location in hopes of saving those they sought to multiply. There simply aren't many left to take." Naturally their DNA worked differently, but most of them never left the planet due to their lack of spacefaring vessels and were largely limited to their foremost tasks while Ania herself had been far more experienced in that regard, briefly mulling over the matter.

"I suppose I could let you have it, but that depends, really .." Her reward would be extraordinary, but throughout the exchange one had to consider that the appealing growth had been rarer than whatever the blue skinned temptress wanted to have. Altering the formula of another Jewel and duplicating the plant would require further research and time, quite possibly justifying the price Scorch had to pay as azure eyes explore her from top to bottom.

"Does your ship have a bedroom for two?"

Post Re: Bad Medicine (for Ania)
She was being educated here, obviously her information had been misleading. Some scholar probably heard a tale in Vena and thought it was the norm, wrote about it in his or her notes and passes on before further interviews or an editor thought tales of cannibalism would sell better or whatever the matter was. Bottom line she had faulty information.

Her mind skimmed over this though. “It's a good thing then that I hadn't tried to kill them but scare them off. The flash bang seemed to disorientate them enough and the grazes they received seemed to heal up readily enough. They all ended up attacking rather than fleeing though I doubt that I got a solid shot in.

“But living only thirty years? With those regenerative abilities? I'm guessing that there is some means that even your species can't heal from. Something accessible by the natives easily enough since they did not seem to have much tech.”

It would place her a little at ease if she knew what that was though she doubted that she was going to get much, perhaps a confirmation of this.

At first she thought she was being challenged, that there was going to be another obstacle her though it seemed that the plant lost potency soon after being harvested. She had briefly wondered if the status pod would do anything about that and keep the flower fresh until shortly after removed from the chamber but what could be done with it in mere minutes.

Though when she heard the explanation she grinned. “Not my problem. The bastard wanted the flower, if he can't use it oh well, he has it. I've fulfilled my roll and if this is one big fuck you to Mercer well then the trip has been worth it.”

Let her have it,
then she would have been opposed. The question not expected though clear when combined with that look. She thinks on the matter though Scorch, having once been responsible for the lives of her crew had been able to sum up matter pretty fast.

“Yes. And a shower.”
It was a pretty large freighter and she had difficulties setting it down closer. She had earned her wealth as a pirate and had some goodies, a nice house, a servant droid, even a ship along with a sizable nest egg she had tucked away.

All in all it was safer not going back to her ship alone and she was the sort to pay off all her debts. Trust was a currency that one could not place a monetary value on and there was no telling if she would ever have need of coming her again so a little good will that she fostered with the alien was a plus. The things she ended up doing while working for Mercer not that she had minded overly much seeing that she had been exposed to the Arena she had some experience with non human lovers.

"Oh, I highly doubt you've seen everything the planet has to offer. You wouldn't be alive if you did." Thirty years weren't much by comparison to the human race or anyone else who happened to chance upon the capital in an otherwise desolate system amongst the stars, but their virility ensured that enough children were born in order to keep up with their losses which prevented their extinction until someone marginally smarter than the rest united those less inclined to follow the old ways before becoming Queen.

They perished on the hunt, growing overly proud and careless with their prowling through the plantlife which lessened their caution and wound up getting them injured or downright killed in the process, even worse in the case of those huntresses of great renown, attracting both jealousy and attention of potential rivals throughout the swamps who sought to end their lives prematuraly. Many matured, but sooner or later they always fell.

She wasn't taken aback by the blatant hatred which riddled her voice while speaking of her employer, there must've been some tension there between him and her sister, but Ania didn't seek to get involved in their affairs.

Rather exploring the ship would serve to sate her curiosity, wondering what else they had at their disposal although both bed and shower sounded truly marvellous while the remainder of their time together played out before the inner eye in a vivid fantasy. Naturally Ania hadn't included the timeframe under which they would indulge in the pleasant company of each other, but she doubted that the human female would complain by the time they concluded their encounter here. "Good, we'll be using both."

The blue skinned huntress smirked mischievously, determination underlining her every word. She hadn't known the preferences her newfound lover had, but courage usually trumped bashfulness and fooling around with the admirable red haired beauty might assist her in exploiting these preferences along the way.

"Allow me to remove it for you." Several tentacles shifted into wicked blades which severed the flower pod almost immediately, simultaneously cutting the connections which was faster than letting her companion carry out the task at hand whereupon Scorch had been able to utilise the stasis chamber with minimal loss of the plant's fresh and colorful appearance, certainly enough to grant Mercer and adequate view of the extraordinary growth before it would wither right before his eyes should he ever open the protective device.

Ania had been prepared to lend assistance on their way back despite being mildly distracted by the prospect of bedding another human far away from the usual source of entertainment, especially someone daring enough to press on as far as the one before her which had her blood boiling with excitement. "Well then, unless there's something else, why don't we head to your ship now?"

“Thank you,” the flower seen too she was half way their now. It was getting this thing back to Mercer. Half way now. She looked up at a Venir as it danced through the sky watching it for a moment before she looked back to what she had been doing.

She packed things up here and looked back with her blue eyes. “OK, let's go.” She lead the way. It was far easier getting back then it was getting her though with a native to guide her and steering her clear of dangers she proceeded onward avoiding such hazards until they made it to the Shooting Star.

One of the landing struts had been sunk in the mud causing it to list to it's port side but there had seemed to be nothing else wrong with it. Scorch unlocked the ship and invited Ania into it. It was large but seemed to operate with a single pilot or an optional co-pilot too.

There was a bedroom with four bunks for passengers and the captain's captain that had been well furnished. It was clear that this freighter had been at the expensive end of starships of it's type. There was a large cargo hold, room for the engines and the refresher as well that contained both a shower that could be set to bestow sonic showers of showers with water as the case maybe allowing the user to switch over if the water supply was low for instance.

There even was state of the art communication devices that allowed for real time communication with those that had similar systems and the standard ship to ship or in system communications.

The Shooting Star had state of the art sensors and while it didn't have much more then adequate guns it was a fast ship, pretty maneuverable and designed to out distance threats rather than endure them. Her computers and databases had been constantly kept updated given the need of information though they had not been updated for a few months. She was going to do it when Mercer mad his “request” for the plant.

“Drink? I'm afraid I only have liquor though.”

Several alterations in their path allowed the unusual couple to traverse the swamps with relative ease and safety, sticking to landmasses which the red haired beauty hadn't discovered initially only to switch over to densely arranged roots serving as platforms along the way, keeping them out of the water the majority of the time, but any further incidents were avoided given that the blue skinned huntress knew the premises fairly well and recalled the threats in the shallow depths below.

Her vessel had been far more generously equipped than whatever Ania managed to obtain in her lifetime thus far, but then again she could've afforded something of equal prowess if she weren't saving the money for something far more important. Once invited inside she looked around the spacecraft, exploring the unknown surroundings eagerly. "I have to admit, my ship is not nearly as impressive as yours."

Shower and bedroom would certainly serve them well, lavish as they were the native woman assumed that the human female wasn't a stranger to having guests personally attend her quarters.

She turned around upon being spoken to, smiling warmly in response. "Why yes, any Liquor you have will do nicely." Ania casually advanced on her, the metallic alloy of her armor flexible and shifting marvellously with each and every sway of her wide hips, slowly raising an appendage to the features of the Captain. "But I prefer to drink in the company of another, so don't forget to pour yourself some."

It was doubtful that Scorch would attempt to poison her even though with her end of the bargain fulfilled the fiery woman might try, but in the end flushing venomous substances from her system would the simplest thing of all with the extraordinary physical makeup the amazon of Lympha possessed.

Slowly Ania approached while the fair maiden tended to their drinks, teasingly pressing into the female from behind and while her armor might nullify the sensations of heated breast flesh flowing upon her back, surely the tentacles which coiled themselves around her upper thighs and waist loosely would gather her attention for a moment or two. She purred softly, leaning in whilst inhaling the fragrance of her chosen lover which had been concealed beneath dampness and the scent of the wilderness, diluting her aroma.

"I'm Ania, by the way." Her words dripped sensuality, lips skimming timidly along her neck for the huntress didn't mind the fact that she had been doused in the swamps, growing up here rendering her mostly ignorant of the less than pleasant smell although a quick shower would take care of that easily enough. "I suppose the formalities were simply forgotten back then, but I thought you'd like to know the woman you'll share your bed with by name."
