History:
A long dead sorcerer created a rift into the beyond in an attempt to retrieve the soul of his lost love. As he poured his desires, love, and need into the portal, the wisps and fragments of long forgotten souls were drawn to his power. As they congregated, they fed upon his emotions, drawing his life essence into the abyss. The souls congealed into a being of distilled desire, and as the last dribble of hope was stolen from the foolish magus, Arblis came forth into the world of Auroram. He soon discovered that his creator was not unique on his new planet, but although the population had enormous powers at their command, they all burned with unmet needs. Over the centuries to come, Arblis traveled the planet, feeding off their needs and toying with a long succession of eager playthings. Occasionally he slipped through an open planetary gateway, in hopes of adding some variety to his diet and it was on one of these outings that he first heard Shokushu. Not one to let an opportunity pass, he quickly soon had a weak minded witch begging to open the portal, if Arblis would be willing to fuck her silly. After some protracted "negotiating", Arblis found himself on an Alien planet crawling with prospective targets. Chuckling to himself, Arblis flew off to fill some needs.

Age: 13 centuries
Height: up to 6'7" in solid form, constantly changing in his gaseous body
Weight: 180lbs to nothing and anything in between
Eye Color: two flickering flames that change in color and intensity based his emotions
Skin Color: light grey, like the color of ashes. As a gas, he can become nearly invisible, appearing only as a slight heat haze with two points of light for his eyes.
Skin Texture: in physical form his skin is warm and smooth with a feel of shifting underneath the surface. In gaseous form, he feels like a pocket of hot humid air.
Body Build: By default, Arblis remains in a vaguely humanoid shape, with a wide upper body that tapers down to a trail of vapor around the "legs"
Tentacles? Yes, Arblis produces sinuous coils of smoke and solidifies them to form tentacles. They are his main form of interaction with the physical world.
Number of Tentacles: As many as he wishes, but generally he sticks to 4 or 5
Cock Size: None, although he will frequently use a single larger protrusion when entertaining his clients. At the peak of his feeding, he dissolves part of his skin and sprays forth a concentrated stream of his essence to make maximum contact on his target. The dense, almost liquid substance has been known to send lesser beings into physical spasms of need.

Fighting Style: Devious and manipulative, Arblis seeks to ensnare and corrupt, only resorting to physical attacks when it is clear the target will not be persuaded. That said, he is more than capable of defeating students, and can handle himself even against other guests. His simplest form of attack is to engulf his target in his gaseous form, and then solidify around it. His solid body is incredibly resilient, and can even contain the force of sizable explosions with no lasting harm. For more lethal combat, his smoke forces its way into the enemy's lungs and ears before expanding and bursting the target from the inside. Alternatively, his tentacles can be adjusted to wield wickedly pointed spikes and blades.

Motivation: Arblis feeds on need. He draws strength from all of the emotions related to desire: desperation, selfishness, envy, and lust are his most common meals, but love, hopes, and dreams can be equally appetizing if he can get his targets to relax enough to hope again. Selflessness is like a distasteful odor to him, and he sees it as an affront to his view of the world. He will tempt his targets to betray what they thought they held dear, in exchange for the power, information, or pleasure he can offer.

Psychological Profile: Arblis takes great satisfaction in bringing his targets to their fate of their own will. After identifying his victims, he invades their thoughts and desires to determine how best to manipulate them. If possible, he will drive the target towards a desperate situation before revealing himself to offer a remedy...in exchange for a price. If the target is initially wary, he will sometimes offer his services in exchange for an object or action which he thinks will be of significant emotional worth. The clash of their need for his help and their love for prized possessions or personal codes can be almost as desirable as the physical desires he can create.

Capabilities: Arblis can shift freely between a gaseous state and a hardened physical body. While in his gaseous form, he can fly with complete freedom up to 40 mph, can become transparent, and can compress himself to any size. He can exert a similar force to a powerful gust of wind without solidifying. He is not actually subject to the forces of the air around him, because he is not actually part of the physical air. His gaseous body is made up of condensed emotional energy, which doesn't suffer the effects of physical forces. That said, he is still unable to pass through completely solid objects. There is an essence to all physical things which he is unable to press himself through.
In addition, Arblis can detach a fragment of his being to attach to a target's body. While in physical contact, Arblis can feel and feed off of the subject's emotions, and if his essence worms its way into the head he can exert energy to manipulate those emotions and thoughts himself. He cannot force new emotions onto the target, but he can turn a mild physical attraction into a torrent of desire or change a core tenant of the victim's lifestyle into an apparent afterthought. In addition, he can read the imprint that powerful moments of need or desire leave on a target's mind and pull memories of such moments to the surface, potentially with minor alterations.
In his physical form, Arblis solidifies a thin layer of his being into a desired shape, while maintaining his gaseous state inside. The physical body is much more powerful, with the strength of over 10 humans, but it still maintains the gaseous form's immobility to outside force. His physical skin can compress a small amount, but once it begins to press against his gaseous body it is held in perfectly in place.

Weaknesses: Arblis' main weakness and greatest fears are a being of either pure selflessness or overwhelming desire. If Arblis attempts to press his energy into a person with no personal desires at all, his power will back up into his body and cause immense pain. If he continues to release energy, some of the pure essence will be displaced back into him, with unknown negative affects. Should he ever try to absorb the emotions of a creature with greater desire than his own, Arblis believes he will drawn into the other being's essence and consumed.

Beyond that, Arblis is always willing to bargain, and it has lead to his few defeats in the past. He hasn't been known to keep his word, but he will keep a bargain as long as he thinks there is an advantage to it. If he learns of his mistake too late, he is prone to seek revenge at a later time.

I like him! He looks really interesting! You may want to mention where it was that he came into being, though...cause monsters can't come from Earth and all...

A quick question: Before SHS was established, the planet was uninhabited. So how did he get to the planet?

I was under the impression that creatures could be born of hell/the underworld/whatever as long as they were not taken directly from some religious institution. I'm sure I've seen monsters who were summoned from hell at some point.

If being drawn from the afterlife on earth isn't acceptable, are there any well established magic using planets that spring to mind? I was planning to have my first RP establish that I had stolen away with a new batch of students arriving at SHS, but I suppose Arblis would have no trouble manipulating an alien's curiosity to visit the planet.
