Post Outpost Gamma Six (For Agent Caron)
Outpost Gamma Six was a listening post on the edge of ADD patrolled space, a covert installation hidden inside an asteroid that drifted around the outer edge of it's system. It had been in place for months, tracking the ships that went into and out of a major slaver port, allowing the ADD to track slaver ships and board them in between systems, where there was no chance of alien interference. They had already managed to take a good twenty transports thanks to the work of the women, and equipment, at Outpost Gamma Six, and the flow of slaves to this port was starting to divert as a result, the prices dropping as fewer and fewer slavers wanted to take the risk. All of them had assumed that there was some sort of leak at the port itself ... and even the governing aliens were busy trying to root out a spy that did not exist among their population.

Or at least, most of them were. This port, like many ports in this sector of space, had it's hidden backers. And one of those didn't buy the idea that there was some super spy. Instead their cloaked ships had been sweeping the system, until they found a stray transmission from the ADD base. They hadn't attacked ... and instead had retreated, waiting until a new ship arrived. This one looked like a mercenary ship, a small frigate that would hold about fifty crew, with plenty of room for cargo and passengers. Or prisoners. The ship had jumped in almost right on top of the outpost, and it was only thanks to luck that someone had been watching the screens, giving the outpost the chance to trigger a distress beacon calling for help. Unfortunately the beacon was shut off within seconds, leaving the ADD completely blind in regards to what happened.

All the ADD knew, was that something had happened to the outpost, and the dozen ADD personnel were no doubt in danger. The beacon would have also alerted the slaver port as well to their location, which meant even if it wasn't a slaver attack that had happened, if the ADD didn't act fast to get their women out, the base would be overrun, and the brave women turned into the very things they had been trying to stop.

"What's going on?", Shannon demanded with a collected, icy tone as she entered the comm room. One of the other ADD agents informed her that communications were cut off, and systems were jammed, someone or something was out there but they had no idea what.

"Start sending out the order to everyone in the outpost--ready for battle", Shannon ordered coolly, before immediately heading off to the armory herself. There were only a handful of agents at the outpost, not enough to hold off an outright assault--it was just a small outpost--a listening post really. It was an ideal locale for catching slavers unawares, but something did not feel right to her. They were just a small outpost, if whoever it was, was able to disable their communications and systems, why have they not attacked already?

Shannon grabbed an assault rifle, but she armed herself with a knife as well. If whoever this was that moved in on their position had not attacked yet while they are sitting ducks, then they must have something else in mind. She tapped the shoulder of another agent who was prepping for combat as well in the armory, and wordlessly motioned for the agent to follow her.

But it was right when she reached the hallway and took only a few paces heading toward the front entrance of the outpost to barricade it that she paused in her steps. Everything felt... off. It was too quiet. She did not hear anything. Shannon looked back at the agent who was accompanying her, and the agent was gone.

Shannon's eyes went wide in surprise, she raised her assault rifle as she moved down the hallways with quiet, soft steps... the only thing she could hear was her gentle, controlled breathing...

The frigates arrival, while it had triggered the alarm, was not the opening salvo of this attack. It has certainly triggered the trio of aliens who had been snuck onto the asteroid moments after the Midrozi had found the base to strike, and already the bases automated defences were compromised, the security cameras stuck onto loops. One of the aliens, the only female in the group, pulled out a remote and triggered it, and in an instant a good half of the ADD agents collapsed, and close inspection of them would identify small robots had been planted on the backs of their necks, and something had been injected straight into the women's spines.

The women would have collapsed without a sound, and if Shannon went back around the corner she would see her backup lying on the ground, eyes blank and body limp. Overhead the frigate continued to approach, with a few large drop ships, each one holding a small crew of non Midrozi slave soldiers, cannon fodder that the arrogant aliens used as raw muscle.

Within thirty seconds of the drones being triggered, one of the aliens found himself running into a patrol of two women helping a third, and suddenly over the ADD Comms system was the sound of three pistol rounds ... And then two voices screamed in pure agony.

The battle for outpost gamma six had only just began ... And it was not looking good for the defending ADD agents. And they still had no idea just what they were up against. Their Comms had been hacked, and someone would have to reverse that if they were to have a chance of co-ordinating a defence.

What Shannon was hearing over the comm channels was disturbing, either unearthly silence or her fellow agents under duress from sounded like them locked in some kind of struggle. Even worse she still had little idea of what was going on. It was clear they were being invaded, but by who or what, Shannon had no clue, and every attempt to contact her fellow agents to get organized was met with them either not responding or already engaged or the channel being jammed.

Much to her chagrin it looked like her only best option was heading to the Comm room, but she dreaded it because that was not her area. Something was blocking communication outside of the outpost, but she had no idea how to bypass whatever or whoever it was that was hacking their Comm systems. Nevertheless she had to do something as her attempts to organize her comrades was met with failure each time.

Avoiding confrontation as much as possible fearing being bogged down in a fire fight or possibly getting caught in a rush while she was on her own without any back-up, leading her to head to the Comm room in a full sprint. The moment she was there she froze for a second as she saw no one there, no one at their post, when if anything at a time like this, it was the post to main and protect at all costs. But Shannon was left with little other option than to press on rather than ponder why those posted to the Comm room left it or maybe even outright abandoned it.

The moment she was before the communications console within the Comm room, she immediately begun switching from one communications channel after the other trying to contact anyone out of desperation. But each channel she tried there was only unearthly silence...

It was as if the outpost was under attack by ghosts, and the downed agents vanished along with the attackers. Shannon would actually find a few discarded weapons, and some dints in the wall from weapons fire that had obviously happened, but there was no blood, or bodies, from attackers or defenders. It was eerie, creepy, and just a little bit frightening. By the time Shannon reached the comms room, the shuttles had just started to land, and the alert of the front door opening blared throughout the outpost. The 'main force' had arrived ... or at least if this was a conventional attack it would have. In reality the band of aliens, armed and armoured with scrap equipment. They stormed into the empty base ... and as they did finally Shannon managed to raise someone on the comms

Well Well ... we missed one. Oh well ... the hounds always need some exercise. Let's see how well you can run and hide ... The voice was sinister, alien, and laced with sadistic malice. The voice spoke again, and this time over the outpost's PA. There is one human left standing in this outpost ... whoever claims her can keep her. The agent can't hear the response of the alien slave soldiers ... but it's easy to imagine a roar of anticipation as they storm forward, starting to sweep the base for her.

"Shit.", Shannon muttered as she winced in reaction to the voice on the other end of comms, she quickly sprinted to the Comm room door slamming it shut. Without wasting a moment she went about barricading the door with chairs and desks, whatever she could find in the room, anything to slow down whatever may come through it, so she could get a couple shots off before whatever it maybe reaches her.

The door barricaded, Shannon stood at the opposite end of the room. Her assault rifle readied she lined up her sights directly at the door, anything tried to force it open, she was prepared to shoot without hesitation. For the moment she could only hear her own breathing in the silence while waiting. The tension of waiting for what may come for her was making her breathe heavier, a droplet of sweat ran down from her brow, though she ignored it--maintaining her focus and her sights on the barricaded door.

Shannon strove to keep her cool, but she was certainly afraid, only an idiot would not have a healthy dose of fear in this moment running through them...

Inside the heart of the ADD base, in the living quarters that the humans used, three aliens waited. All around them was the defeated personal of the base, most out cold, but a few lay still, eyes wide in terror and their bodies unmoving, apart from shivering in fear. Leaning against the wall next to the door was a male, wearing armour and with his long hair tied back and slicked with an oil that prevented it from being grabbed ... As well as made sure blood wouldn't stick to it. He had a pistol strapped to his hip ... But he had yet to draw it.

On one of the beds a second alien sat, this one dressed in a red silk dress that looked like it belonged in a formal party. She was sitting cross legged on the bed, eyes half closed as she concentrated. She sighed as her eyes open, and she turns to face the final alien, lowering her head as she does so. Master .. She appears to be staying in that room.

The final alien was seated on another of the agents beds, and was dressed in much more revealing clothes. He had a harness on his chest with numerous small metal balls attached to it, and a loincloth that had been cast aside for the moment, one of the ADD agents kneeling at his feet and busy sucking him off, eyes already half broken. He shook his head in disappointment, and raised his hand to his ear to bark orders.

****

The course of the alien slaves changed, and it didn't take long for a pack of them to reach the room the last agent was hiding in. They tried the door, and when it failed to open they simply opened fire, wave after wave of energy bolts slamming into the door and the barricade behind it, slowly melting their way through, not yet giving Shannon any target to shoot at ... But it wouldn't be long before the openings was large enough, and suddenly one of the aliens charged Into it, ignoring the heat as he tried to rush the waiting agent.
