He was getting hungry, note quite ravenous but almost and so Birch had been jaunting through the trees in a frantic search passing through one and out another as he searched. Ah, there's one. Her “leaves” were an odd color that few of the students had, a shade of pink.

For the moment he watched calculating the best opening to use since he really didn't want her slipping away when he was so close to a bestial state.

lilyana walks in the woods trying to camun with nature as she learned to do. something was wrong however there were no animals.

She looked as if something was wrong or bothered her, a new look as whatever discovery she made was new.

“You're new here, aren't you?” Still behind a tree right now in the event that she turned around to look for him.

lily looks around the water in the air seeming to gather in defence but weakly though should it be needed.

Interesting, he shouldn't have given up surprise so easy but he still had it. He stepped out from behind the tree though he had not approached any closer than they were now.

“A spell caster?”

her eyes grow wide as she sends her tendrils of water at him and trys to run.

Even without the inhibitors in place to dull the power of the attack he had cover though as she brakes into a run he simply phases through the tree before the water even reaches him. He can jump further but always stays twenty or so feet back at the closest.

He lets her get some distance away before he commands roots to grab at her ankles tripping her up as vines streak in to restrain her.

“I'll let you in on a secret,” he says while he pulls her up with those vines. “In the jungle you will be unable to escape from me.”

lily screams and trys to fight her water tendrils lashing him but hed barly even felt it if he did at all.

“Stop doing that,” it was tough fending of the water tendrils as they had no substance but did no real damage other than annoy him. Vines tighten against her wrists and ankles exerting force there until he quiets the useless struggles that would do her no good.

lily screams in a bit of pain as the tendrils die hitting the ground with a splash.

Once the tendrils fade the vines ease up though they still keep her secure. “Better. I trust you are new to all this.” He rubs her cheek and gazes into her eyes as he asks the question giving her a moment to calm down a little given the stress of the situation.

lily looks away her eyes tightly closed silently saying goodbye to world thinkling im about to be devoured as tears fall.

Water leaking from her eyes. He traces the path of a tear with his thumb. “What are these?” His curiosity trumps his hunger for the moment.

¨t-they are tears im s-sad that im about to be eaten by y-you.¨

“Tears? I have been told of these. But eat you? I am not a carnivorous plant. Most of my nutrients come from the sun and water though I occasionally need to supplement that. I have no need or desire to kill you but I will feed in my own way.” He lets that sink in first before moving on.
