Destra was a bad planet … well it was not terrible as far as planets went but it was not pristine either. Sky scrappers lined it and business was booming, being along a major trade route their had been a lot of trade here. It was not a lawless world persae though it was a region governed by corporations and private security forces. Simply put there were no police forces for the every day citizen but each was somewhat protected by their corporations that safeguarded their interests as long as that did not work contrary to their own interests.

There were a lot of problems of course but the rank and file workers were migrants for the most part that often did not have any complaints voiced. There was an operation that involved wide spread destruction recently. The corporations were handling their own affairs though they were hardly sending enough relief as that cut too heavily into profits. Since it was the ADD at fault for the blundered operation against the pirates they were shipping in aid.

Cynthia had be chosen for her first assignment due to having lived on the planet. It was a rather easy one for the most part and they would be escorting a supply ship to the planet ensuring the supplies and relief got to those that the corporations had been ignoring for so long now.

cynthia watched the human girl from her perch. after a minute she leaps down soundlessly and puts a paw over her mouth.¨if i was a slaver youd be sold by now. you must never let down your guard especially on this planet my dear. im guessing you are luna. im cynthia a pleasure.¨

She nods. “I haven't done much field work myself. I was told to met up with you here and that we are suppose to escort a shipment to the planet Destra. Was that what they told to you?” She glances over the alien analyzing her with her eyes.

“Though I do have a few tricks for dealing with slavers … I'm not exactly alone.” She smiles at that though there doesn't seem to be anyone else present.

¨thats right now if you will follow me to my ship we can meet our contact. we will be using my ship due to it being designed on this planet it wont over excite the people here.¨cynthia puts her hand on her back and guides her to the infamous invincible cloaked as it is it looks like a basic ship till she appears then the cloak falls.

Luna nodded. She got on her communicator and contacted someone. “Emi, we're taking Cynthia's ship. Maintain the lock with my locator and pursue once we begin to leave planet. Lodge a flight plan to Destra and standby.”

The voice that answered was a young female probably in her 20's too. She then proceeded to the ship and was lead on board after the cloak was dropped. “I bet running a cloak on this size ship drains quite a bit of power. A scout ship I take it or is that camouflage just to blend in disguising the fire power you have?”

They had some time to kill before the contact arrived after all and so she had the time for the tour to get familiar with the tech.

¨its mainly a luring ship very fast with excellent defense with very little fire power sadly its more a ram to brake enemy lines.¨a mechanical male voice welcomes us saying all power stores at max and ready to depart. at my signal the hatch seals and we blast off at remarkable speed but little disturbance to the surounding area.

“I see. Mine doesn't have remarkable fire power though average I guess. Is that an AI? How sophisticated is it?” She asks, tech gaining her attention though being once in R&D that shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Most ships had a basic programming that wasn't nowhere close to an actual AI. She could assume that they were on the way to meet the contact who may have been on a nearby planet or at another star port on this planet and they were just moving for the sake of ease.

¨its state of the art. this isn't an add issue ship you see though it is registered by them.care for a drink? we have a bit of time till the cliant arrives.¨

¨a never ending desire for excitement. as with most nekos i hate boredom.¨a scanner scans luna and after a second her perfect drink appears from the drink service area.

“Thank you,” she takes up the drink and takes a sip. “For me it was inventing. I never thought I would be good in the field but could supply the breakthroughs that helped out. All that sort of changed though when I can Intel on an old slaver that abducted a friend of mine when we were fairly young. I was spared that fate …

“Believe me, I know how close to slavery I am at any possible moment seeing that home was not even safe.”

¨i have no love for slavers. a band of them killed my brother.¨lays my magic tech bow on the table as we wait i sip a catnip laced water drink.

“I'm sorry to hear that.” She looks to the bow seeing that it is not exactly a primitive one but a sort of energy weapon. “A modified bow? Did your people have an affinity to such weapons and you use a more modernized version of it?”

¨not really i use a form of spirit magic that i focus through the bow to fire element arrows that are like a blaster rifle shot but with fire water or what have you.¨cynthia takes a seat and offers her a seat as well.

She takes the offered seat after inspecting to bow with her eyes. “So it's like a focus,” she had read about wizard staffs and the like in fiction and thought this was roughly what was going on here.

“I've never met any one that could use magic before. It's rare … most things are explainable by science after all so I don't use the term often myself.”
