“He must have pulled off a sizable heist or heists ...” she thought it over. The corporations were likely to have acquired this and that which the Hel'Corian had been after.

“My hand to hand is only so so but I have a few options open to me. No doubt they will be ready,” she takes a sip of her drink. “Against a serious threat two agents won't manage much but while ruffians may attempt to make a move I doubt that any real organized ones will attempt anything.”

¨i wouldn't count on that hun you have no clue how bad it can get on destra. there are almost no police and what there is are in the corporations pockets.¨

¨the issue isn't the locals. due to the lack of steady police preasanse means gangs and pirate groups can thrive as long as they avoid drawing the corporations ire.¨

“So the main obstacle would be dealing with pirates and such before getting to the planet … makes sense since there is no real police force and it's doubtful that they would know we're only protecting foodstuffs and the like.”

She considered this issue. “We might be best with another few ships as escort, at least until we get to the planet though it's been my experience that the ADD hasn't been on the ball with issues as of late. I guess it never hurts to check, they don't have to make planet fall with us. Once we are there we should be good since the corporations wouldn't want issues their likely to assist us to a degree even if it doesn't look like they are, such as spreading the word we are off limits while in areas of their control.” She shrugged, this was likely after all but she wasn't certain herself.

¨hmm do you think we should call for back up? might take a while for anyone to get here.¨cynthia considers the idea her ears twitching in thought.

“I doubt that they'd send anyone else,” she sighed. “It's not a huge priority and they probably would think that even if pirates attacked and made off with the goods only foodstuffs are lost and can be replaced. I think if we just bug out if things are too hectic is what is expected.

“I guess we are meant to deter smaller, less determined threats. I essentially have little combat training and you're a new agent other wise they may have left this up to a single escort ship.”

hmmm you maybe right in that. plus i doubt the pirates don't already know what we have most have ways to know whats coming and luckily food isnt high enough on most radars to risk.¨

“I'll call in for back up, at least additional escorts to the planet and get denied,” Luna shrugged as it didn't seem to be a big deal to hear. It was likely that they would be doing this alone, after all how many agents were they going to assign to this? Destra was an important trade world though to the ADD it was only important in regard to information that could be obtained about pirates, smugglers and the like …

“When is the contact due? I can start working on a few things for when we are on the ground on Destra to assist us.”

"we have plenty of time till they are set to arrive." cynthia motions her to the bay where she can work on things. cynthia watchs her trying not to jump at the shiny things hating that part of her feline like nature.

She truly shines in the tech department. In the time afforded to her she works on a few simple sensor trips. She only does up two of these. She disassembles locator beacon similar to the one she has stashed on her person and tinkers with it a little to generate a slight modification that may be useful as well as a few other minor adjustments to other gear that he has.

If she had more time she would have gotten to other gadgets that may have been useful but she had been interrupted by the arrival of their contact a white skinned hairless alien with solid blue eyes and suction cups at the end of his fingers. She was even unsure of the species, unlikely for her.

“Greetings. I am your contact, Saurel, and it is my ship that you will be escorting to Destra. I have filed a flight plan from her to there noting the first problem area when we jump back into real space at the edge of the system. There is an asteroid field that has some navigational hazards and a great hiding place for pirates not that I'm expecting any problems.”

¨ah captain saurel i am captain cynthia of the add ship invincible this is my partner for this mission luna. i wouldn't worry about astiroids the shields of this ship can shatter them with ease. as for pirates ive sweeped the path and there arnt any.¨

“well met. My shields are not military grade like your own so you'll have to take point. I'll let you clear a path and fly in your path.”

Like walking in foot prints left in the snow, Luna thought. She would have EMI follow in behind them. “Coming into the system I presume you detected no pirate activities. I doubt that they would be interested in our goods any way but I assure you captain we shall remain vigilant. Shall we set out to Destra?”

With Saurel's arrival the supplies were here assembled at last. Either they were assembled and collected here or there were other escort ships that brought him part way and they were to take him the rest, she was not told which and that was not important for the mission at hand.

¨trust me meteors are no problem my shields are top notch just stick close.¨ cynthia instructs her ai on thn ruite they are taking. once they reach the meteor belt the shield smash right through them.

The route is determined and they lead the way with Saurel's ship close behind them and EMI taking up the rear. Space debris, dust and meteorite fragments are nothing and soon they have Destra in their sights. The fact that the supplies had two escort ships could have been misleading to one who just checked these things out on the surface.

They have no problems getting to the planet and get to off loading supplies to be shipped to a warehouse.

“Now we have the boring task of baby sitting the supplies. Since these are for the people and not for any corporation the companies are not taken charge of the goods. Another day or two tops before a system is in place to distribute them. You'd imagine that they would have done this already but it appears things are more chaotic then what was reported.”
