There was a deadline with this one … rather the scientists wished to have some information on this project before advancing with it she guessed though it did not matter the whys behind something. It was not important to going her job.

The catch was that most of the files for discipline had been carried out. This wasn't a huge issue as there were trouble makers and the inflation of events though she only had a few days before the deadline was to be met.

It was while doing her rounds later that evening, enforcing curfew where she had a chance meeting with Rosalie. She was just squeaking into the dorm under the wire, a quick check of her watch revealed that and she had hoped to get started tomorrow evening on the latest project.

“Miss Holbeck,” she called to the mint haired girl after she had passed. The Miss was affixed to every student while she was in Prefect capacity. It was ultra rare for her to fall out of this even though she had met Rosalie prior to her Prefect days. “A moment. You do realize the time?” This was not about curfew or time though. She tended to be fair if not firm after all.

Rosalie pauses in the doorway to her room hearing Daphnee call out to her. "Uh yeah, I was pretty I just barely made it in on time. Or is there something else on your mind?" She leans against the door frame listening to whatever it was Daphnee wanted to discuss with her.

“Cutting it close there.” Things happened, she knew though of course he did not bring those up Rosalie had been one of the few that knew that she knew about the guests even if she seemed to ignore that

“That aside,” not mentioning that she had wanted to nail someone to have an excuse to carry out her experiment, not that she needed one when she could have just grabbed someone but that was one of her quirks unless in a pinch.

“I was curious as to how your classes were going, ultimately I was wondering if you would be interested in earning some extra credit. From your file last time here was a note if I remember correctly about you having a particular phobia.”

"Doesn't happen often I can assure you of that." Rosalie answers. Daphnee's next question had her sighing in both embarrassment and frustration. "There is one course I'm not getting good marks in lately...gym." This normally wouldn't have been an issue since Rosalie was very active physically. But her fear of going into deeper water was keeping her out of the pool. As a result, the instructor had been taking points off from her grade each day she refused to join the class. It wasn't in the red yet, but at this rate it there was no question it would be. "Um, what kind of extra credit did you have in mind?"

“If it were me and I was cutting it too close I just might stay out ...” she mentioned. “Of course that all depended on the demerit issue at the moment and having a place to hole up at.” But in the grand scheme of things she figured that she'd rather have the demerits then risk staying out too late.

Rosalie didn't seem to be in duress and she had wondered where she was coming from before dismissing it. It was irrelevant after all.

“Gym, now that I wouldn't have expected Miss Holbeck after meeting you at the soccer match, oh, water, that's right.” She paused wondering how much she should relay.

“Some of he girls suffer phobias that one of the doctors here on the island wanted to treat outside of the standard pills. Apparently he's designed something that supposedly strips away these phobias or at least suppresses them for a time but it is untested. Would you be interested in testing it? There will be no water involved unless you reach a comfortable stage.”

Rosalie always assumed the only kind of treatments available to cure phobias were a combination of pills and therapy. They had tried that on her before, and obviously it was unsuccessful. It would be wonderful to her if she could go swimming without this irrational fear always interfering, but there was no guarantee this untested treatment would work. On the other hand, if she declined, she would be looking at an F on her gym class. How would she explain that to her parents?

"Well...I suppose it's better than getting an F. Alright Daphnee, I'm in."

“Great does tomorrow evening work for you? He wants some data before the week is out. I guess he has two or three directions he can branch out in an the data should point him to the one he wishes to walk down.” She had only been stretching the truth a little though she was unaware of the true reason behind the rush from the synapses she read the pill could enhance or suppress fears depending on how it was employed.

It opened up regions of the brain to suggestions. “We don't need any place as rude as e basement either and I'll arrange for something unless you have something in mind.”

"Yes, tomorrow will be fine. No I don't have a preference on where we do this. Shall I just meet with you right after my final class? Or should I come back here first to make curfew?"

“I know your schedule, it's in your file and can simply pick you up after class tomorrow.” Which she did, escorting her to one of the older buildings on campus. “Here, place this one. Someone's waiting.” She handed over a blindfold and lead Rosalie on after it was in place.

Whether there were secret passages or just a confusing twist of corridors that ran beneath the campus ha been unclear though when the blindfold was removed she was just inside a room with white walls.

Behind them was a door presumably the one they came in and this looked like the office of a shrink or doctor of some sort. They were not alone, a familiar pink haired girl was there waiting for the pair brought her in the similar fashion of being blindfolded and lead.

“You two are familiar with one another already though I recalled something from your file which may assist us, Miss Genju You don't mind her joining us Miss Holbeck, do you?”

when lily turned she'd see rosalie and daphnee.¨r-rosalie? w-what are you doing here? i-i don't mind i just didn't expect her¨

Rosalie was just as stunned to see Lily in the room as well. "Lily...I came here to test some kind of new treatment for my phobia. What about you?"

“Oh, I asked Miss Genju to join us though I never revealed who he second girl would be. I considered something that I have tested before that can be influence a bit … ultimately I will use that drug on you too Miss Holbeck to further relax you but the mind is open to suggestions and has a strange way of interpreting effects.

"The drug I wish to test, however blocks phobias and I have the means of linking your experiences in a sense ...” Daphnee paused letting all this sink in. “I'll have to place both of you in an unconscious state but Miss Genju, you have access o water magic? I believe that could be quite valuable in maters to come.”

lily blushs as the words sink in. her eyes move to rosalie for moral support.¨i-i can't use my power if i-im asleep¨

It didn't make much sense to Rosalie. What did it matter if Lily couldn't use her powers when she was sleeping? How could she? But it wasn't really any of her business. "Hm, okay. So Daphnee, what does this treatment involve? Nothing painful I hope." She asks turning her attention back to Daphnee.

Daphnee mulled over the information, unsure at how this was going to work but Lily was here now and perhaps her idea would still work. “Oh, it won't hurt but we'll need another room.”

She escorted the pair to what appeared to be an upscale hospital room with four beds as the room was broken into quarters for whomever came. This was the first time that either had seen the room though Daphnee didn't seem to pay that any mind.

The beds were like hospital beds, each being on wheels to move easier when the brake was released and a railing at the end that could be raised or lowered Each was down currently.

“Move two of the begs together, I'll be back.” She wouldn't be gone long though when she returned she was carrying a clipboard and wearing a lab coat The coat made it easier to carry the few things she needed.

“Now, Miss Holbeck I'm assuming that Miss Genju knows ...” she looked to Lily and reached into a pocket wondering if the bottle of pills would do he trick.

“First, I want the pair of you to look into each others eyes and just relax ...”
