Research (Karayah)
And down this path she encountered that demon, Kakumaoh. This trail lead off to the area where the flying slime was encountered and if she doubled back ten minutes or so and went the other way for a bit it lead into the area where the Tramps had been interrupted while camping.
She map a few notes on her map, not that she was looking to avoid monsters, well that was always the case though she was making a map of the island, a crude one because she was going to use this island in a fictional story.
It may have been unwise to be out exploring like this but she wasn't going to cower in her dorm all day either. “Hm … I think down there was where Fenris and I ran into that plant, best to stay clear ...”
She wasn't actually revisiting areas but mapping a crude map by getting close to areas and making this crude map. But she felt a little feint and sat down by a tree. Soon she drifted off to sleep in a sitting position. When she woke some time later it was dusk. Due to her Sleep Paralysis she could not move at first though at least this time she did not experience any of the surreal hallucinations.
Standing up and dusting herself off she collected her note book, closed it and cocked her head to the sky. It was later than she intended and it was best to make her way back, which she started now.

Re: Research (Open)
((hope Karayah is to your liking, and if you'd rather it not be her I understand)) Several eyes would catch sight of the brunette as she slept against a tree. They'd watch her slumber for hours, their owners taking notes, drawing sketches, taking scans and sending their findings back to whence they came.
As she began to walk the path she'd hear a cacophony of faint clicks and whistles would echo in from somewhere in the trees. If she'd look around she'd notice shapes moving just beyond sight, faint silvery shimmers between the trees; she'd hear several pairs of boots moving across the forest floor and the occasional squeak of metal joints.
They sought to startle the woman, force a reaction of any sort from her. They wanted to get her blood to flow. And above it all, hidden by the canopy of trees was a tall slender woman of gray skin gently floating, bare three toed feet brushing over the leaves and branches, white dress faintly fluttering in the breeze. This was Karayah, though what she wanted with this particular earthling was truly anyone's guess.
"You are not to engage her unless her speed exceeds the predetermined limit, if you do engage you are to capture and subdue her immediately. do not fight or injure the human. if any other shokushu visitors arrive you are to attempt communication and then retreat to a safe distance and allow our queen to negotiate with them if they are intellegent. if they are feral beasts you are to translocate back to the ship immediately, we will determine a future point in which to attempt capture of the subject. do not risk injury by attempting to deviate from these orders. Praise be her greatness and glory to the Zeta."
these instructions made it to each of the creatures behind the trees though nothing of it would be heard by the world around them.

Re: Research (Karayah)
(I'm sure she'll be fine ) “Nuts!” She heard the sounds that radiated to her ears, her eyes glancing around as she looked to the trees and saw something though she was unsure what it was. Her pace hastened though she had not broken out into a run just yet. While with the Tramps there had been a time that she was attacked by two monsters while with others. Another situation where two slimes were working together though the worse had to be the tentacles. Either it was one huge but unseen creature or a swarm of others so these were perhaps working together. She had determined that that was likely. Boots and mechanics … spiders? She got the image of mechanical spiders working with something, handlers of some sort? Were the spiders sentient pets? She was getting unnerved though the louder the noises grew, the closer they sounded … As she moved she flipped open her notebook dropping her pencil though she wasn't stopping for it. She glanced at her crude map to pick a direction that wasn't likely to intersect with a spot where she ran across something before. The left path ... When getting to a fork she broke into a sudden run down the left path which should take her in the direction of the beach though that would be a ways off she was guessing.

Re: Research (Karayah)
Speed within acceptable limits, maintaining distance. Subject heart rate up five percent. She's noticed out presence.
they'd continue to follow: one observed her body language as best they could from this distance,l a second kept scanning her surface levels of perspiration and heart rate. A third was carried by four long mechanical arms and was moving from tree to tree getting a different persepctive and the fourth seemed to be making a log of some sort while trying to not fall over itself and was carrying most of the equipment they had with them.
Subject accelerating rapidly, moving for sector B-6. Life signs at B-6 minimal, 0% multi-cellular earthlings. Recommended course of action, either cut off her path or subdue her in the open where there's more room for us to maneuver and aim. Will continue pursuit, attempting to provoke further flight response
They decided in a majority to let her escape the forest to the beach, only the equipment drone of the group wishing to end this more quickly. In their attempt to scare her further the one being carried by machine played a recording; a very alien hissing noise, echoed along with what sounded like oozing slime. Just one of thousands of recorded species they could have chosen from of course.
Karayah, all the while continued her own observations from above, carefully she'd watch both the earthling and her small unit of drones. She was curious of their performance and ability to follow orders just as deeply as she was curious about this human and the surface readings they'd gathered about her.

Re: Research (Karayah)
With her heart slamming against her chest Bria rushed onward. At one stage she had thought that maybe she had managed to get out of sight and hide with her back pressed to a tree but they were too close. Whether they had lost sight of her or not the noises were unnerving enough and it seemed as if they were coming this way so she bolted.
The beach was probably not the smartest choice but she had panicked. It was all open and she would be able to see her pursuers better but once there it came to a flip of a coin. Either she was faster or they were. Simple really though with things being so open she was hoping that the things would disengage.
The young writer pressed on, as fast as she could go though it had always sounded like the creatures were close. It felt as if at any time she would feel metallic limbs rip her down to the ground but she did not dare look back.
But as for open spaces that was true but in all the distraction she had lost her sense of time. The sun had set and the sky was beginning to darken as she hit the beach breathing in the salty air.
Soon she would only see shadows, perhaps it was an improvement but not much of one. She was still running though her sheltered sedimentary life ensured she was not athletic at all and thus not too fast only fueled by adrenaline.

Re: Research (Karayah)
”Subject heart rate nearing dangerous levels as described by our hosts. Ending recording, recommend attempting to calm naturally, reaction to chemical tranquilizers unknown, could be disastrous.”
the odd alien noises stopped abruptly, the forest nearly went silent as she'd break passed the treeline onto the sands of the beach. Several minutes went by of this silence before it was interrupted by several low whistles of different tones as one of the four stepped out of the treeline with both four fingered gloved hands raised as if to say they meant no harm, and really they didn't want to 'harm' her per-say, they themselves weren't really going to 'do' anything to her save prepare her. The create was bald from head to toe, unnaturally thin, it's eyes were black as pitch and slightly reflective. In the faint light of the moon and stars it's silvery clothing shimmered. All in all it looked like one of the gray aliens out of pop culture and conspiracy theory.
A second one stepped out after and then the one on odd flexible mechanical arms found its way to the beach as well. The three all held a lot of similarities though there were obvious differences between their builds, much like the differences between humans, if a little less extreme. After a short few moments the final one appeared falling onto its hands and knees panting some, clearly exhausted at carrying what looked to be several hundred pounds of... well, it was difficult to tell just what it was carrying exactly.
The first one that had appeared moved to the collapsed one and took a small device off of it, it looked like a collar and he snapped it around its neck. There was a noticeable hiss that came from it before it managed to create what sounded like english.
“We mean no harm, earthling. We subdued the <unintelligable word> that was pursuing you. You will not be damaged. Please do not attempt to flee.”
The slit it had for a mouth contorted into what looked like a friendly smile, though considering he was obviously not from earth it could probably mean anything.
Karayah now would press something on her wrist before reaching the edge of the canopy, the light around her shifted and she could no longer be seen, at least not with any ease at this distance. She folded her hands infront of her and watched on.
Interesting approach to the human... trying to create trust perhaps? How unusual for a drone. I may have to promote this one to a tactical position. she'd think to herself, smiling at the ingenuity of her minions, even she didn't always know what to expect from her people at all times and she could read their thoughts.

Re: Research (Karayah)
She broke the treeline and it went quite at once. It was near silent now other than the waves lapping up against the shore though she jogged ahead a little ways before realizing that there was nothing pursuing her and she took a knee to gather a quick breath. Before she would dash ahead on her way.
The whistling startled her as she sprang back up to her feet. It could have been a signal in calling off a hunt but she had no reason to stay put. But there was something now, something there hidden by the darkness at first though she could tell it was small and humanoid.
Just prior to her feet moving once again it had progressed closer and she could make out the details. This was no mechanical spider, werewolf, slime or worse tentacled terror whatever that was. This was all in all nonthreatening compared to most of the other elements she had seen. Yet there was a curiosity here too. It seemed illogical giving her encounters with various beasts but the thought of aliens from other worlds was still a great impact. Suffice it to say that she had not been aware that she was no longer in Kansas any more.
Surprised, even shocked the others arrived and as the first attached that collar around it's neck she was taking a few steps back then paused once more after it concluded.
“Subdued? W-Why are you here?” Though if they took care of one of the creatures all the better. Her heart still slammed against her chest though it was slowing. She was looking beyond this creature to see if there were any more though it seemed to be just the four. If she had to run the one with all the equipment wasn't going to be a problem in outrunning though there was the problem of the other with those mechanical arms.
They were probably strong given what the one appeared to be carrying. She could not tell the weights but guessed that the equipment had to have some weight to it.

Re: Research (Karayah)
The one speaking, or at least being translated for her took a few moments cradling it's chin in a hand and closing its eyes. Finally though the gray would nod to her, and his whistling and clicking compatriots.
“Yes. We stunned it, it will awake in seventy two hours unharmed. We are scientists, there are many strange creatures on your planet that we wish to learn more about.”
it explained and it wasn't a total lie, just that most of these creatures weren't earth born, there had been no other thing chasing her and they weren't on her planet anymore in the first place, but they figured keeping up the illusion of the school and suggesting a paranormal or cryptid beast explanation of the other visitors to Shokushu served better than the whole truth. What wasn't a lie was that they were in fact scientists, field researchers of a sort.
“We are Zeta, we are ancient, we have no purpose other than to learn now.”
Again almost entirely true, though they did have a few other purposes in their lives, there was no need to divulge them for their current purposes. The speaking one looked to the one on mechanical arms and let off several different sounding clicks before being nodded to. The mechanical arms carried it slowly towards Bria as one might move towards a frightened or angry animal to try and calm it. An arm raised and a slot opened and what looked to be chocolate presented itself. It would taste perfectly normal save perhaps an odd hint of foriegn, though what it was made from had never been part of any tree.
“An offering for you, bipedal homonids on many worlds enjoy sweet confection. In exchange for our assistance and this gift, we wish to run a few tests. They will cause no pain and you will maintain your dignity before us. ”
the 'chocolate' should she accept it was quite chemically similar save a mild relaxant rather than the stimulant caffeine found in earth chocolate. The one thar wasn't speaking, carrying or being carried seemed to be off to the side going back and forth between the carrier and an empty space of beach, it wasn't empty for long however, it seemed like he was setting up a mobile research lab of some sort right there on the sands including a table that unfolded itself from a box and contorted to form a chair of sorts.
Karayah would lower to the sands silently to get a better look at the human, keeping to her stealth module active she licked her lips faintly, or where lips would be should she have been human. The very thought of the entertainment she could get out of this one, even with what little she knew of the woman was lovely.

Re: Research (Karayah)
“Zeta ...” she bought the half truth easy enough given that it all seemed very plausible even if nothing of the sort had happened before she had dealt with a few that weren't so savage and seemed sentient even striking a deal of sorts with one, not that that made her situation any better but in a way it at least helped her in a worse case scenario in certain circumstances.
So, the creature was out for three days. That was far more time than she needed to get out of here. Though it did take a bit of effort not to take a step back as the one on the mechanical arms came closer. It was the one that was probably the toughest to out run but she managed to hold her ground and received a chocolate in reward. It tasted fine though there was a hint of something she could not quite place.
“My help ...” tests, she had thought it over wondering what sort of tests they meant though given the nature of everything on the island she should have guessed though these creatures were sort of a cultural icon world wide rather than just credited to a region and so there were a few ideas that she could form. Anal probes, collecting of eggs and sperm, reproductive tests, these all came to mind from the mythology she had grown up with.
One was busy setting things up and by now her heart rate had declined a great deal as the chocolate served to relax her. The idea of some of her eggs being collected didn't seem too bad in light of all this and seeing how they did save her from one of the inhabitants of the island she had figured that the situation could have been far worse too.
She had yet to spot Karayah at all not that she had been searching for others and had her focus on the ones before her. “I guess I'll help as long as there's no anal probes.”

Re: Research (Karayah)
They all looked to her when she mentioned anal probes and cocked their heads to one side as though they were a bit confused, or perhaps even a little surprised.
“I do not know how you knew of those... we have not used those in 40,000 of your years, long before my batch. They gathered very little ineffective information and caused much discomfort to most species. You would call them barbaric.”
The talkative one explained as if trying to comfort her before it moved forward to try and take her hand and lead her over towards the mobile lab that that had been set up and seemed quite sterile despite being out in the open. They'd pass what felt like a static charged area of air before they'd touch foot on the flooring that had been put down.
“Remove your foot covering and sit, try to calm yourself to the best of your ability no matter what happens.”
it would request of her calmly before moving to whistle and click to the others. If and when Bria would sit, she'd quickly find her wrists held to the arms and ankles held to the legs of the 'chair'. What held her wasn't immediately apparent however as she'd feel and see nothing but air and quickly the four Zeta were upon her attaching about a dozen things to exposed skin; they made no motion to remove any of her clothing... though one would lift up the front of her skirt, as though they saw no problem with this to attach these circular things to her upper and inner thighs. The one that did took a moment to examine her panties and seemed not certain what to make of them for a moment before it moved on. On each of these things there was a cool gel of sorts that immediately started to gently and pleasantly tingle, an unintended reaction to the human nervous system, forcing a faint pleasure into her skin.

Re: Research (Karayah)
“Oh ...” She exclaimed, dismissing the notion of pop culture. It could have been as simple as a rogue member of the species doing such once and the returning person sounded crazy but the story just got picked up by others that claimed to be abducted. “It's not important.” As far as how she knew these things the details were sort of irrelevant.
She soon was guided forward, feeling the tingle of electricity in the air as they passed by an area. She removed her shoes, they were sneakers and not part of the uniform but allowed her to move through the jungles and mountainous terrain easier.
Everything looked clean and the set up was unusual. She had to wonder how much it all weighed, perhaps little individual. Perhaps advancements in tech made it all light weight but the volume … a ton of feathers still weighed a ton, there was just a lot of it.
The Zeta did not appear threatening and so she had been lulled in to sit. When she did she found a pressure over her wrists and ankles despite nothing being there. Calm, that was easy … “HEY!” She was surprised by the lack of movement but the drones were upon her. Still, it was not as she had expected where suddenly things became sinister. Rather they came forth applying this circular nod and that to collect data she guessed.
She gasped slightly feeling the tingle of pleasure wash through her. Her eyes widened as she blushed as her skirt was lifted and these sensors where applied to her upper thighs but nothing further, it was as if they were just prepping her for whatever readings … she had calmed, had a spike of fear at the sudden restraint then was calming again when nothing happened straight away. She still retained that blush though well after her skirt fell back into place.
“O-OK, w-what now?”

Re: Research (Karayah)
The four seemed please that she was cooperating so well with them, despite them being so unusual. The blush on her cheeks though had them a bit curious. The one carried by mechanical arms noted the moment it had happened one of them was under her skirt. It would converse with that one in those clicks and whistles that seemed to be their native tongue before they've move to the collared one and do the same. The fourth in the group moved to a small mobile computer of sorts toying with what looked like holographic images of several things in an unusual script of sorts.
“Now we will run basic medical diagnostics. You will feel a mild electric pulse as we map your nervous system so we have a foundation for other tests.”
it would explain and just as he had said, it felt like a series of mild static shocks, surprising at first but not painful. Above that computer a system a new holographic image formed, clearly showing the paths her nerves took through her body along with more script and symbols. The one at the computer spoke to the others and the collared one would nod, the other two would go about mixing something
“Your... brain... shows several anomalies from what we see in most carbon based lifeforms. Do you know what might be the cause of this? Anything abnormal that your medical experts may have told you of?”
the collared one would ask as the mechanical armed one returned beside her with a small cup of pleasant smelling blue liquid which he would offer to her.
“Drink, you will either feel the emotional spectrum in its entirety within a few seconds or it will cause the same response as would mating with a male of your species... or it could be both... Unfortunately we can not know which it will be without a full sequencing of your genome and that would take an entire year. We wish to get a reading of what chemicals cause which emotional response in your species.”
Unfortunately for her humans constituted having both sensations at the same time... she'd feel what would likely be the oddest combination of emotions possible... and a very sudden orgasm... if she were to drink it of course.

Re: Research (Karayah)
She twitched, not in pain but in surprise as she felt the first shock. The best way to describe it was setting her tongue on the end of a 9 volt battery. Other regions of her body were targeted, each tingling though fortunately the charges didn't build upon one another or grow any stronger.
Bria had tried to get a look at the computer though she could not read the symbols on it. Before long though the issue of anomalies had been brought up. “No, nothing I am aware of ...” she began, though her condition was sort of normal to her it did take a moment for it to register.
“Wait, there is one thing. No, two. I have two disorders, one being Sleep Paralysis where I cannot move for a minute or two upon waking. Sometimes when I am in the state I suffer hallucinations. Well, often I do but not always. The other is Narcolepsy, an alignment that causes me to fall asleep at random without any sort of warning. It's less frequent these days but common enough.” She explained all this.
“Huh?” She blinked. She only had had known one human male though there were an abundance of non humans. She had a pretty good idea though the liquid was sweat smelling enough. She drank it and felt the wide gamut of emotions in a mere minute or two she had been crying, then laughing, then feeling miserable and hopeless. She settled into mirth towards the end, her insides on fire as it felt like something carefully moving inside her.
She grew wet, very wet and her pantie dampened as her clit and nipples stiffened. Her breathing increased as did her heart rate. Her back arched though she was still secured in place.
“OH GAWD! OHHH FUCK! OHHHHHH!” She panted out as she felt the neurons firing in her brain stimulating the pleasure centers of it at work as a sudden and intense orgasm swept over her then and there.

Re: Research (Karayah)
Mmmmm, what a delicious cry this earthling has. I'll want to hear it dozens of times before the sun rises.
Karayah thought silently to herself as she observed as the four drones continued their work in preliminary tests; She would use these tests for her own purposes once they were finished gathering the information on this specific human and her ailments.
The drones chattered with one another at her reaction the the formula they'd given her nodding faintly to one another before the collared one spoke to Bria once again.
“One of the more powerful reactions documented... it does make sense though. We have recorded the proper chemical stimuli. Thank you for your cooperation thus far. I am sorry about how the chemicals reacted with your biology.”
it lowered its head to her for a moment before the drones returned to her with a variety of somewhat familiar looking medical tools and some not so familiar. They'd check her eyes, eats, nose, reflexes and anything else that they couldn't just scan, nothing more than one would experience during a human physical; save the fact she was still clothed.
“Narcolepsy is an interesting condition, we have not come across in other species... we will need to study the map of your brain for quite some time to understand it better...”
it trailed off and blinked a few time as did the other three. They connected several devices various parts of equipment before returning to her and toying with her chair for a few moments. The chair shifted to a table with her still on it, the restraints loosened some but wouldn't let her go the four would clamber off down the beach and leave her there, alone without a word.
“Well, Enough of that I think... there has to be something we leave to study in others on this island after all. If I didn't do that they'd have been here with you until sun up and I can't have that.”
a very clear, very feminine, surprisingly regal tone spoke up, but nothing would be seen immediately. After three or four minutes of further silence Karayah turned off her module and offered a smile to Bria. Karayah stood quite a bit taller than the drones and had a very obvious feminine build and unlike them she also had long flowing black hair. She approached Bria as she was held there vertically on that table, there would be no strain from gravity on her limbs either.
“What's your name, earthling?”

Re: Research (Karayah)
Still she had no clue that there were more than the four drones. She was beginning to calm from the induced chemical drink though the nodes on her were still pleasant, very pleasant indeed. Though the drones continued on. Though there were instruments that she had not recognized they had continued on in a way that she could understand more or less and there was nothing too bizarre as of yet.
Part of her had been amazed that she submitted to this. Part had been curious too. Her body still retained that aroused state though she was rather accepting of the apology telling them it was OK. She was warned after all and it wasn't as if they had forced her to drink though she found the reaction unusual she chalked it up as a side effect in doing what was necessary. If there had been a way around it she figured that they would have already invented it. 40,000 years was a long time and while she did not know how old the species was 40,000 years ago they were performing probes so she guessed that they had been well advanced then and even more advanced now.
“Is that a bad thing?” To think that Narcolepsy could be a wholly human matter. She wouldn't have thought that before hand though it appeared that they needed a little time to digest the gathered info. Her restraints were loosened some and the chair adjusted though she had not caught on to the fact that they were wandering away until they were half way down the beach.
Without any sort of attention she turned her head towards where she thought they were but could not see anybody and had guessed that they had proceeded onward.
“Hey! Come back!”
There was a voice that drew her attention and heart rate increased. She wasn't dreadfully panicked though, it seemed that this one may have been familiar with the others though as far as she could have been convinced was that this had been what was approaching her earlier and the efforts to subdue did not last as long as the aliens believed it would.
Was it watching and waiting for this moment? She could not flee and could only search the darkness for a source. “Who's there?” No response. It was quiet for a bit and the reveal calmed her a little. Same species though this one appeared different in several ways that she could only guess at. Was she unique of was this just a product of the females being larger and possessing hair.
“Bria,” she answered the question. “Bria Giovanni. What do you mean? Others to experiment on?”
