Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
She eats, realizing that her hunger outweighs other desires … in fact the aphrodisiac seems to have run it's course. She was even somewhat cleaned up, sure she still needed to shower but there was some effort made.
After she finishes eating her voice is not answered, not at first. A full minute goes by before the door to the room slides open revealing two familiar figures. One is the four armed Adda, Quad and by his side is Olivia.
“I trust you are better rest. That's some droid you have there, though a rather out dated model, don't you think?”

Vidalia widens her eyes and then laughs at the sight of the woman. She hurries over, wrapping the scientist up in a hug and holding her tight for a few moments. "You made it! At least, I think you did. Where are we?" She holds the woman at arms length before hugging her again. "And yes, it is. Think I'll keep him and try to make a few updates."

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
The embrace is returned though Quad watches on silently. He was an Adda scientist after all so most of the tech and terminology was still new to him, granted he was learning.
“We all made it thanks to you. Once they got the battery they cleared out though I was able to send a little help that managed to sneak aboard when we realized that you were captured. I'm glad that it all worked out.”
“Currently you are back at Outpost Six. Your droid brought you back. It is being checked out encase it was a plant, hidden devices and programs. There was the possibility you were allowed to escape given that you were unconscious upon arriving. So far everything checks out but ...”
She paused as if thinking over something for a moment as if determining the best way to phrase it. “As old as the droid is it has a lot of data … a lot … some is encrypted though we've managed to break the encryption there is information that doesn't make too much sense for a droid to have and other things that are easy to determine or make reasonable guess at.
“The strangest though is the personality matrix, it is rather complex for a droid of it's age and has obviously been added later on, the original replaced.”

"I found it deactivated on the ship. It's incredibly resourceful for a droid, I wouldn't be here without it. That said, I've been wondering about it for some time now. You didn't find anything malicious at all?" She waits for an answer before continuing. "Then I think it's time I had a little sit down with my new friend. I'll see if it will give me some answers." She smiles and hugs the scientist again. "Where is it?"

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
“Nothing malicious, just some odd programs. It is in one of the labs being analyzed though I'll have it brought to one of the offices in about fifteen minutes. Quad.”
The Adda nodded and departed. Once again the two women shared an embrace and she had been lead to an office, apparently it was hers or Quad knew ahead of time where to meet with the droid. The room was large and Olivia pointed out that the adjoining room was a bathroom complete with a shower.
A change of clothes could be provided to her or more food.
The room was similar to an office though there was lots of stuff here that gave off a lab vibe as if some of the smaller projects Olivia was tinkering with had been done here. Most of the work was probably done on computers through various simulations.
She had no need to wait long as Quad and the AI soon arrived. Olivia and Quad would depart after explaining that they would be at the vault area cleaning up some of the earlier damage as she was left alone with the droid who stood there like a statue though it looked a little more cleaned up then it had on Ven's vessel.

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
Vidalia settles into a seat, waiting for the droid to be brought to her while she snacks on something small. Once it enters, she smiles and thanks Quad and Olivia before turning her attention towards the droids. "So...umm, you got anything you need to tell me?" she asks. "In regards to why you're so complex or why you're such a pervert? Most droids, even the newest ones, don't at like you do. They also tell me you've got a few unusual things hidden away in there. I want to know about it before I decide to keep you around."

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
The AI processed what she was saying. “Keep me around ...” It seemed to have a brief debate internally or maybe it was processing as to the best way to answer that.
“I am a combination of old and new … the chassis I originally possessed was a prototype, a unique creation that was heavily damaged. This chassis was the only one on hand in which my personality matrix could be transported to.
“While it is an inferior model by the time I was able to transfer from this chassis I grew quite fond of it and decided that I wouldn't transfer into a new vessel. As you are aware personality matrix can be exchanged, usually a complex one cannot be integrated into a model that has a simpler one. Thus I could be transported into most droids that had a complex matrix. Clearly not something so simple as a simple labor droid but I digress.
“My personality is an imprint of a patient with a terminal illness that has long since passed. It was an experiment, an attempt to transfer the consciousness of a flesh and blood being into a robotic vessel, in a sense if it worked it would have been a form of immortality.
“But while I have many of the memories it was far from a success. In short I am a copy of all that information and have some of the quirks but I failed to capture the true consciousness. Originally it was not even humans that had the scientific knowledge to pull this off but even they fell short. A strange series of events followed though I could explain all those adventures the short of it is that the medical facility I was developed from had a rival steel me. My matrix was transferred in an attempt to hide me better … or this was what I was told by my last Master as I suffered a memory wipe prior to being activated.”
It paused in the event that she wanted it to elaborate on something further. It had been quite a while since it was memory wiped and it assumed that was at the start of it's “life” not that it could tell if that was the case or not.

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
Vidalia nods her head as she listens. The story isn't as far out there as she had expected and is certainly within the realm of possibility. "So, you're telling me e essentially the most human like droid out there?. She asks, continuing to snack idly as they talk. "Is there any reason we should leave you in this body then? We could transfer you to a newer model, one with more features. Some of the newest are quite lifelike you know." She smiles at the droid, watching it closely as she continues. "Or we can leave you like this. I don't think you're going to cause any harm, but... You could be here as a plant. An easy way to get some programming onto one of our ships."

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
“No reason to remain in this chassis. I was initially stored in it to hide my value, a crappy exterior but what's under the hood was important. It worked too, not even Mas – not even Ven knew.”
Old habits and all, it was free now though it had no need to refer as Ven in that manner not that it ever believed that nonsense. Possession was nine tenths of the law they said in parts of the galaxy any way and since it realized that society did not recognize independent droids it was a force of habit to simple label the current possessor as the Master or Mistress though at the heart of it all it knew that it was stolen property.
“I assume that title now belongs to you and yes, a new body would work best. As long as my personality matrix is transferred I do not have to be confined to any body. However, if my core is destroyed I am.
Though my body does not function I can be transplanted to a new one if my core remains intact. Sorry I don't know how to copy the matrix and can't create new life so to speak, my original programmer would have to be located for that, I was never given such knowledge.”
It seemed to process it all.
“Am I to assume that you would prefer such advancements?” Unlike a typical droid she could make out the fact that it was being sarcastic or so it seemed. As it were it did not mind playing with her more and if it had a better design it could perform that function better too.
“Such combing for such programming is to be expected I suppose. But did you have anything in mind for the chassis?”

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
"We might find you something more combat capable, for starters." She says, musing to herself. "It depends on how much you can be trusted, really. Again, we'll have to verify that somehow." The agent shrugs and leans back in her seat. "We will just have to see. I'm sure I can figure something out given enough time and the right resources." She gives the droid a smile then. "Does that sound like a plan then? We verify you, then we go from there? Best plans are simple plans, after all.

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
137 processed her words in an instant it had pondered all sorts of possibilities and even tackled any sort of problems. There were certain types of droids it's personality matrix wouldn't fit into and other types were some modification needed to be done first. All in all most humanoid models were easy to be inserted into. It essentially killed the old body which could be used to place the programming of another droid into.
All in all things should work out nicely and if there were any unusual models it could simply address any sort of modifications necessary. “It sounds like a plan. Having greater capabilities helps.”
It took a quick look at the instruments ensuring that there was no pursuit of their vessel thus far. They had not been entirely out of the woods, fighters were faster then their shuttle but the other droids were predictable to an extent and it used that to foresee any sort of search patterns.
Simultaneously it calculated this making the necessary adjustments when necessary. It had not expected to see anything amiss and had not. If things kept up like this they would soon be among better traveled space lanes where pursuit would likely fall off, at worse it would be more likely that they could get assistance and a response to any distress beacons they used. It would not use them unless it had to as that would be declaring their position to any pursuers.
“There are other modifications that would be more entertaining, particularly on longer trips.” It did not miss a beat, nor did it seem opposed to the idea of the ADD taking a look over it or opposed to that very notion that it suggested.
The metallic hand of the droid rested upon the back of her own as if to make it's words clear. “Unless you need more relief I recommend that you get more rest.”

Vidalia nods her head. "You'd make an excellent pilot too." she points out. Would give me greater freedom dealing with any prisoners I end up taking on a mission." She smiles at the Drone and then bites her lower lip, glancing at it's hand on hers. "I think some rest would be good." she says, pushing herself to her feet and nodding. "Wake me if anything interesting happens." She turns from the drone, breathing deeply and heading to her own bunk to lay down for a spell. Maybe they'll find some sort of ship here soon.

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
It nodded. “I have been programmed with exceptional piloting skills, the use of sensors and many other shipboard systems save for the operation of weapons. That could easily be rectified with additional programming.”
Increasing the abilities of a droid had been relatively easy. Write a skill package and install it. Or erase one you didn't wish for it to have in the first place. 137 nodded at her as she got up to get some rest. After enduring her experiences thus far she was out for a while.
In fact it had been long enough that when she came to the ship had landed, there had been no hum or vibration in the plates of the deck. The cockpit was empty too and she found 137 at rest on standby mode who activate when she drew near.
“Ah, Master … Mistress ...” it tried on both titles, paused for a tick then continued. “We have landed and I have already contacted authorities to contact the ADD. In a nutshell you are safe. Ven will not come to a civilized world, he cannot match a fleet of ships with but one battleship.”

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
Vidalia wanders from her bunk, frowning at the lack of running engines. That means that either they've landed or they're in trouble... Thankfully it's the former, as she finds out when she finally runs across the droid. "That's good to know." she says, stretching. This does very interesting things to her, thanks to the suit, but she hardly expects a droid to care. At least, most droids wouldn't. "Where are we though? Did they give you a response time?" she asks. "Also, I think I really need to go get a shower somewhere. Maybe a room to stay in until the ADD arrives."

Re: Outpost Six (for Vidalia)
“Not the best place but far from the worst. We are at the planet Argar. Just outside of space controlled by the Directorate. The world is far from unlawful and doesn't offer a safe haven to most criminals outside of smugglers trafficking in arms.
“Some galactic laws are lax or nonexistent here, such as slavery. It isn't big here but not illegal either. Technically they do not enslave people but if one was to bring their slaves here then they wouldn't be automatically freed as is the case with most planets.
“The ADD will make contact in under thirty-six hours, until then it should be easy to lay low. Provided no laws are broken in the mean time of course. Docking fees for the use of the port I had charged to the ADD so they can pay them when the other ship arrives.”
Those were the basics that it covered though it tilted it's head in her direction at mention of a shower. “I would join you but that's an idea for the next model, something that is a bit more water resistant. With this old chassis I wouldn't trust it not to allow at least a moderate amount of water to damage some of my delicate circuitry.”
